Yumi is a dedicated mindfulness practitioner and teacher rooted in her ancestral Buddhist lineage. Born and raised in New Jersey, she earned her BA in Asian Studies from Colgate University and followed her heart to Los Angeles, where she enjoyed an acting career while raising her twins. She is a certified Mindfulness Facilitator through UCLA’s Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior and is a graduate of the Mindfulness Mentor Training Program at Banyan, led by Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield, and Yong Oh. Yumi is also a certified Restorative Hypnotherapist and a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, helping clients access deep states of relaxation to support healing on a cellular level and access holistic integration of the mind-body. She works with clients one-on-one and leads workshops, creating inclusive spaces for mindfulness and deep healing. A committed race activist, Yumi is passionate about healing alongside marginalized communities. She brings joy, presence, and co-creation to her work, supporting others on the path toward inner peace and transformation.
