Hey Namaste,

I'm Yogini Brittany and I welcome you beloved to the present moment.

Thank you for joining me.

Today we're going to focus on disrupting negative thought patterns.

We'll do this by slowing the breath and reciting mantra.

Our mantra today comes from an excerpt from a poem written by Shane McClendon titled I Will Breathe.

We've all experienced life problems and had to make hard decisions that left us feeling anxious around what's to come or even shifted us into a depressed state.

When you find yourself in these situations or moments of heavy negative thoughts,

Practice creating distance between those thoughts by following the breath as it comes in and out of the body.

When you're ready,

Close your eyes if you already have not and take a deep breath.

Hold the breath,

Exhale and relax.

Take another deep breath as deep as you can and hold it.

Count to five.

As you exhale,

Breathe out all of those negative thoughts.

Take a third deep breath in,

Hold it.

As you exhale,

Blow out any of the stressors that you're holding on to.

Continue to breathe slowly and deeply and simply say to yourself,

I will breathe.

I will not let my worry control me.

I will not let my stress level break me.

I will think of solutions.

I will breathe.

I will not let my worry control me.

My stress level break me.

I will think of solutions.

I will breathe.

I will not let my worry control me.

My stress level break me.

I will think of solutions.

I will breathe.

In life,

Whenever you find yourself having negative,

Unproductive thoughts,

Simply say the word stop and take three deep breaths to relax your mind.

Then come back to your mantra.

You'll find that the negative thoughts you were just having will disappear.

I will not let my stress level break me.

I will think of solutions.

I will breathe.

I will breathe.

How do you feel?

Gently notice how you feel right now and take a mental note of exactly how you feel right now.

Now let's come to conscious awareness and bring ourselves back to the room.

Take a deep breath in.

Breathing in new,

Fresh energy.

Open the mouth and exhale.

Take another deep breath in.

Pulling in that refreshing energy.

Open the mouth and exhale.

I want to encourage you to stay connected to your breath as you move throughout the day.

If your emotions start to shift in a negative direction,

Come back to our lesson.

Found yourself in the breath and recite your mantra as many times as you may need until your mind is clear and your thoughts are flowing freely.

Thank you for taking time out of your day for a few mindful moments.

The divine light in me honors the divine light in you.
