Welcome to this Spring Renewal Meditation.

As the seasons change,

So too do we.

And just as nature awakens from the stillness of winter,

We are invited to share the shed of what no longer serves us as we embrace this new energy,

Growth,

And possibilities.

Over the next few moments,

Allow yourself to soften and start to look around your space and find a comfortable place to land if you haven't already.

As we start to arrive in our seat or wherever you may be,

We'll start to focus on this fresh vitality of Spring Connection.

This is a 15 minute Spring Renewal Meditation.

And if you haven't already,

The invitation is there to softly close the eyes or gaze somewhere out in front of you.

Taking just a few initial breaths of air in through the nose and exhaling with a sigh out through your mouth.

This cleansing breath flowing in as you inhale and then releasing out as you exhale.

And with each soft breath,

Feeling yourself settling more into the present moment,

Allowing your body to soften and release any tension.

If it's possible,

Start to imagine roots extending from your body through your seat and rooting down into the earth,

Grounding you in this idea of stability and nourishment,

A sense of rooted connectedness with the physical body and the earth beneath you.

As we continue to breathe,

We'll start to deepen the breath.

Breathing in a smooth,

Easy breath and exhaling fully.

With each exhale,

Imagine drawing in vibrant spring energy as you inhale and with the release,

Letting go of any stagnation,

Heaviness,

Or old energy that no longer serves you at this moment.

Drawing in fresh,

Vibrant spring energy as you inhale and exhale,

Releasing any stagnation,

Heaviness,

Or old energy that no longer serves you at this moment.

Visualizing a gentle breeze flowing through your body,

Clearing out any residual stagnation that is potentially held in the body somewhere.

This fresh,

Gentle breeze clearing it out,

Making space for renewal.

This vibrancy,

This presence of something fresh and new.

Making way for more of that as you continue to breathe.

Now picturing yourself sitting in a beautiful spring meadow.

And around you,

There's fresh air that you can feel on your skin.

Absorbing the warmth of the sun.

And smelling in all of the scents of spring.

Of rain,

Of flowers,

And anything else that comes to mind when you think of smelling spring.

And imagine yourself as a seed.

You've been resting peacefully beneath the earth throughout the winter in hibernation.

And now starting to awaken with the warmth of the sun.

Every breath,

Visualizing yourself starting to grow and sprout roots.

Stretching upwards towards the sun,

And unfolding and blossoming.

Like a flower.

Maybe just bringing your favorite flower to mind.

Imagine how the petals open and unfold.

Or develop as it grows.

Feeling this sense of nourishment of the earth below you.

And the warmth of the sun above you.

And these two elements above and below are supporting you in your growth.

Of your journey towards renewal and blossoming this season of spring.

Affirming silently or a soft whisper beneath your breath.

These three affirmations you can repeat after me.

I embrace renewal.

I am open to new possibilities.

I grow with ease and grace.

Taking a breath in.

And a gentle release as you exhale.

Continue to breathe in this way.

Imagine the idea of soaking in the light.

Sitting in stillness in this present moment.

And allowing yourself to absorb this fresh energy.

Feeling gratitude for the season of new beginnings.

Reflecting on one thing that you are ready to release.

And one thing that you are ready to invite in.

One thing you are ready to let go.

To clear space for something new to arrive and hold space.

Holding this intention in your heart as you breathe gently.

And exhale,

Sigh it out.

And starting to return your awareness back to your body.

To your physical being.

To the weight of your bones.

Sitting on the earth.

And starting to gently invite in some gentle movement that feels intuitive for you.

Maybe that's just slowly rolling the shoulders out.

Needing out any tension there in the shoulders and neck.

And maybe rolling out the head and the neck.

And still with eyes closed,

Attention turned inward.

To the physical being.

As you start to slow down your movements to a close.

Take the hands just to heart center.

And a lotus mudra.

So the thumbs are connected and the pinkies are connected.

And the three middle fingers are extending outward.

Much like a blossoming lotus.

So holding this hand gesture or mudra right at heart center.

And just feeling any subtle energy that that has to offer.

And taking a deep breath in.

Drawing in that sense of new beginnings and freshness.

Exhaling anything stagnant or in need of letting go.

And then on your last breath here,

We'll take another breath in.

And just breathing in some gratitude for this practice.

And as you exhale with a sigh of relief,

Acknowledge your efforts.

And when you feel ready,

You can open your eyes.

And start to return with a sense of renewed and refreshed energy.

Inviting the energy of spring and transformation.

And new possibilities into the rest of your day and your week.

Thank you so much for your practice.

Namaste.
