Welcome beautiful soul,
Take your time now to find a position where your body can be completely supported.
This is a yoga nidra practice,
So allow yourself to lie down.
Let your body rest fully on the surface beneath you.
Let the earth receive your weight.
There is nowhere you need to go,
Nothing you need to do,
Nothing you need to hold together.
Allow yourself to arrive in this space,
Not just physically but emotionally and energetically.
Feel where your body is being held,
Your back,
Your hips,
Your shoulders,
Your head.
Let gravity do the work for you.
You are safe here,
You are protected,
You are guided and you are supported.
Gently close your eyes and soften your gaze.
Allow the outside world to begin to fade.
Sounds may still come and go but they no longer need your attention.
This time is for you.
We'll begin by taking three slow cleansing breaths to help the body let go of the day.
Inhale gently through the nose and exhale through the mouth with a soft sigh.
Again,
Inhale through the nose and sigh out through the mouth.
Let go of any tension you've been carrying.
Let go of any worries.
Let go of any thoughts.
One more time,
Take a slow inhale through the nose and a long,
Relaxed sigh out the mouth.
Let your whole day go.
One more time.
Feel your body relaxing,
Settling.
Your body knows how to rest.
Now gently bring your awareness inward.
Take a moment to set an intention for this practice.
It doesn't need to be complicated.
Just trust what arises and hold it softly in your heart.
Yoga Nidra is a state of conscious rest.
Your body will rest deeply while your awareness remains gently present.
There is nothing you need to concentrate on.
Nothing you need to visualize perfectly.
Nothing you need to control.
Just simply listen.
Your subconscious mind is open and receptive in this state.
Your body knows exactly what it needs.
You cannot do this wrong.
Now I want you to bring your awareness to your breath.
Do not change it.
Do not guide it.
Just notice where it moves most easily.
Perhaps it's a chest,
Perhaps it's a belly.
Perhaps it's the ribs.
Allow the breath to be soft and natural.
With every exhale,
Feel your body sinking a little deeper into the surface beneath you.
With every inhale,
Awareness remains gently awake.
You are not asleep.
You are not fully awake.
You are entering a space in between.
This is the doorway.
As your breath continues,
Allow the mind to soften.
Thoughts may still appear,
But they no longer need your attention.
They can just drift by like distant echoes.
You remain underneath them,
Aware,
Present,
Held.
Here is a place beyond thought.
Beyond story.
A place the mind cannot fully reach.
This is the realm of mystery.
You do not need to understand it.
You only need to allow yourself to rest within it.
The veil behind the mind is beginning to thin.
Stay here.
Let the body rest.
Let the breath flow naturally.
Let the mystery hold you.
Remain completely still.
Let the body be heavy,
Supported,
Held.
Awareness now begins to move from the inside of the body,
Where sensation lives,
Before thought ever names it.
Bring your awareness to the inside of the right foot.
Not the shape of it,
The felt sense.
A quiet aliveness,
A subtle hum,
Warmth or weight or space.
Let awareness spread through the right foot from the inside.
Now gently include the right big toe.
The second toe.
The third toe.
The fourth toe.
The little toe.
All five toes known as sensation.
Let awareness gather again into the whole right foot.
Now awareness rises inside the right ankle.
Noticing the space within the joint.
Up through the right lower leg.
Deep inside the calf.
Inside the bone.
Into the right knee.
The centre of the joint.
The quiet intelligence that allows movement.
Now the right thigh,
Heavy,
Warm.
Supported from within.
Let awareness soften into the right hip.
A place that stores memory.
A place that knows stability.
Pause here.
Let the body respond.
Awareness flows into the right side of the pelvis.
Then gently into the lower right abdomen.
Feel the organs working without effort.
Life happening on its own.
Awareness moves into the right side of the chest.
Behind the ribs.
Behind the breath.
There is a quiet pulse here.
Now the right shoulder,
The weight of it.
The letting go.
Down the right arm.
Into the right elbow.
The right forearm.
Into the right wrist.
The right palm.
Now bring awareness to each finger on the right hand.
The right thumb.
The right index finger.
The right middle finger.
The right ring finger.
The right little finger.
Feel the entire right side of the body alive from within.
Now shifting our awareness to the inside of the left foot.
The subtle sensation within.
Let it spread throughout the foot.
Include the left big toe.
The second toe.
The third toe.
The fourth toe.
The little toe.
The whole left foot felt as one field.
Awareness rises into the left ankle.
The left lower leg.
The left knee.
Into the left thigh.
Heavy.
Warm.
Softening into the left hip.
Two.
Awareness flows into the left side of the pelvis.
The lower left abdomen.
The left side of the chest.
Behind the ribs.
Behind the breath.
Now the left shoulder.
The upper arm.
The elbow.
The forearm.
Into the left wrist.
The left palm.
The left thumb.
The left index finger.
The left middle finger.
The left ring finger.
The left little finger.
The entire left side of the body alive and known.
Now bring your awareness to the base of the spine.
From here feel it slowly rising up through the spine.
The lower back.
The middle back.
The upper back.
The spine sense from within as support.
As quiet strength.
Awareness spreads into the neck.
The throat.
The jaw.
Let the jaw soften.
The tongue rest.
The face melts.
The cheeks.
The eyes.
The space between the eyes.
The forehead.
The crown of the head opens.
Feel the entire body at once.
Not as parts.
But as one field of sensation.
Here thinking fades into the background.
Not because it is forced away.
But because it no longer needed.
This is the veil behind the mind.
Where sensation speaks louder than thought.
Where the body holds truth without words.
Rest here.
Let the body guide.
Let awareness stay embodied.
Let mystery remain mystery.
Remain exactly where you are.
The body is heavy now.
Deeply supported.
Held by earth.
Awareness rest easily inside you.
No longer moving.
No longer searching.
And as awareness settles something begins to soften.
The mind.
Thoughts may still appear.
But they feel further away now.
Less urgent.
Less solid.
Like clouds drifting across a wide sky.
You do not follow them.
You do not push them away.
You simply notice.
That you are no longer inside them.
You are behind them.
Imagine now.
Or simply sense.
That you are standing at the edge of something subtle.
Not a place you can see.
But a threshold you can feel.
It is the space between thought and sensation.
Between knowing and naming.
Between awareness and identity.
This is the veil behind the mind.
You do not need to step through it.
You soften into it.
And as you do.
The familiar structure of the mind begins to loosen.
Time stretches.
Edges blur.
The need to understand fades.
Here there are no answers to find.
No problems to solve.
Only presence.
Notice how thoughts now arise differently.
They come.
They go.
Without pulling you with them.
You are no longer inside that thought stream.
You are the space it moves through.
This is not emptiness.
This is intelligence without words.
And knowing that does not explain itself.
You may feel vast here.
Or very small.
Or both at once.
Let whatever arises be welcome.
The mind is learning how to rest inside the body.
In this state the body becomes the teacher.
Not through sensation now.
But through stillness.
A deep steady presence spreads through you.
As though every cell has exhaled at once.
Here the body is not something you inhabit.
It is something you are.
A living field of awareness.
Breathing.
Listening.
Knowing.
This is where truth lives.
Before it becomes belief.
Allow yourself to rest here.
There is no edge to this space.
No center.
Only a gentle awareness holding itself.
You do not need to remember anything.
You do not need to release anything.
Whatever needed to shift has already begun.
This is the intelligence of rest.
Of surrender.
Of mystery.
Stay here.
Let the veil remain.
You begin to understand something quietly now.
Not with the mind.
With the body.
That not everything is meant to be understood.
Some things are meant to be lived.
The mystery is not something to solve.
It is something to trust.
And the body already knows how.
Very gently.
Awareness begins to gather again.
Not leaving the mystery but carrying it.
Like a thread of quiet knowing woven into your breath.
You are not coming back the same.
Something subtle has rearranged itself beneath thought.
And it will continue to unfold long after this practice ends.
Remain exactly as you are.
There is no rush to return.
No need to hurry back to the body.
The mystery you touched is not something you leave behind.
It has already woven itself into your nervous system.
Into your breath.
Into your cells.
Allow yourself to rest here for a few long moments.
Bring gentle awareness back to the body as a whole.
Not individual parts now.
Just the felt presence of being embodied.
Feel the weight of your body resting.
The steadiness beneath you.
The quiet support holding you.
Notice how the body feels different now.
Perhaps softer,
More spacious.
Simply calmer.
There is no right way for this to feel.
Your body has taken exactly what is needed.
Notice how the mind feels now.
Not absent.
Not gone.
But quieter.
Less demanding.
As though it has learnt it does not need to lead everything.
You are not here to silence the mind.
You are here to be the guide.
Here to live beyond it when needed.
The veil behind the mind is always accessible to you.
Through sensation.
Through breath.
Through stillness.
Your body knows the way.
Let the breath deepen slightly now.
Not forced.
Just fuller.
Feel the inhale gently expand the body and feel the exhale soften it.
With each breath your nervous system integrates this experience.
Nothing to do.
Nothing to direct.
Just allowing.
Slowly begin to invite some awareness back into the physical world.
Feel the contact points between your body and the surface beneath you.
Feel the temperature of the air on your skin.
Begin to notice the space around you again.
While you stay deeply connected to yourself.
You are not leaving the state.
You are bringing it with you.
Slowly invite some movement back into the body.
Some gentle wiggling fingers and toes.
Bring some movement into your wrists,
Your ankles.
Move your neck gently side to side.
If it feels good for you bring your knees in towards your chest and give yourself a beautiful big hug.
Or stretch your arms overhead lengthening through the body.
As you welcome yourself back.
Take a beautiful deep breath into your belly.
Feel your belly expand and a soft gentle exhale.
Feel your belly soften.
Again take a slow beautiful inhale through the nose.
Feel your belly expand and a long gentle exhale.
Feel your belly soften.
One more beautiful big inhale through the nose.
Feel your belly expanding and a long gentle exhale.
Breathing yourself fully back into the room.
Carry this feeling with you for the rest of the day.
Remember you are loved unconditionally.
You are worthy.
You are beautiful.
And you are never alone.
Thank you for going on this beautiful journey with me.
I see you.
I feel you.
I hear you.
And I honour you.
It is a blessing to share this space with you.
With love and gratitude always.
