This is a Yoga Nidra practice inspired by the energy of Venus.

Connecting with Venus awakens our ability to see clearly,

To discern beauty and truth in ourselves and in the world.

The mantra OM DRAM DREAM DRAM SA SHUKRAI YANA MAHA is a sacred sound formula that invokes the essence of Venus.

In this session,

We'll create space for deep rest.

Toward the end,

You'll be gently guided into a mantra meditation to attune with the essence of Venus.

Let yourself receive,

Let it be easy,

Soft,

And sweet.

Let's begin by gently arriving into the body.

If you're not already,

Allow yourself to recline in a supine position.

You may choose to bring a pillow or bolster behind the knees to support the low back,

Perhaps covering yourself in a light blanket or wrap for warmth and security.

If it is comfortable for you,

Just let your limbs lay long and uncrossed.

Arrive here,

Now,

Allowing your back body to sink into the support beneath you.

Take these next few moments to straighten out your spine,

Relaxing your shoulders back and down,

And with the back of the neck long.

And now begin to feel the breath rise and fall through your belly.

Allow the diaphragm to soften as you ground into the earth.

Feel the support beneath you,

And let go.

And gently bring your awareness to your breath.

There's no need to change anything yet.

Just notice the natural rhythm of your breath.

You may place one hand on your belly and one hand on your chest.

If that feels comfortable.

And begin to invite your breath deeper,

All the way down into the lower belly.

As you inhale,

Feel your belly softly rise under your hand.

And as you exhale,

Feel it gently fall.

Inhale,

The belly expands like a soft balloon.

And exhale,

The belly releases and draws inward.

Again,

Inhale deep into the belly and feel the belly expanding.

And then exhale,

Let it all go,

Feel the belly sink.

Let this breath be smooth and unhurried,

Going at your own pace.

Feeling the rise and fall of your belly.

And if the mind wanders,

Let your attention return to feeling the breath.

Continue this relaxed belly breathing.

Inhaling deeply into the diaphragm,

Exhaling completely and slowly.

Each breath signals safety.

You are safe and you are at ease.

And when you feel ready,

Allow your hands to rest gently by your sides again.

Simply return to observing the breath as it flows naturally.

And imagine now that it is nighttime and you are arriving at a beautiful place.

A candlelit rose garden,

Glowing softly with warm light.

You see a path lined with rose petals.

Your bare feet walk along the soft path.

Hedges of roses border each side,

And their scent fills the air.

Your skin glows under golden candlelight,

And this space is yours.

A hidden sanctuary of rest.

You find yourself standing at the threshold of a beautiful spa carved out of creamy white stone.

The air is warm and still,

Fragrant.

Soft candlelight flickers along the walls,

Casting a golden shimmer over smooth stone and velvet petals.

As you step inside this spa,

Your bare feet meet a warm,

Polished floor.

The atmosphere wraps around you like silk.

Gentle,

Quiet and soothing.

You walk slowly,

Mindfully,

To a pool of warm,

Luminous water.

Its surface glowing with the blush of soft pink light.

And as you lower yourself into the pool,

The water receives you.

It's the perfect temperature.

Warm,

Silky,

Almost weightless.

As the water touches your skin,

You feel tension dissolve,

Washing away all that does not serve you here in this sanctuary.

Every muscle begins to release.

Your shoulders drop,

Your jaw softens.

The skin of your face relaxes into a peaceful stillness.

And with each breath,

You float more deeply into this sacred pool,

Supported,

Cradled.

You are drenched in peace and beauty,

Inside and out.

Let this softness infuse your body,

Your breath,

And your being.

And now you may release the imagery and notice how your body feels.

And bring all of your attention to the point between your eyebrows.

Spreading across the entire forehead.

The left temple.

The left cheekbone.

The bridge of the nose.

The right cheekbone.

Now bring your attention to the center of your chest.

Imagine you could breathe in and out through your heart space.

Breath expanding with each inhale.

And softening with each exhale.

Your natural breath.

Breathing through the heart space.

And on the next exhale.

Guide your breath down the right arm.

Flowing into the center of your palm.

And as you inhale.

Draw the breath back up from the palm into the heart.

And when you exhale.

Go down your left arm to your left palm.

And inhale at the left palm.

And draw the breath back up to the heart.

Exhaling back down to the right palm.

Exhaling down to the other palm.

And on your next exhale.

Allow the breath to flow from the heart.

Downward through the belly.

Hips and thighs.

And into the soles of your feet.

And your feet are anchored.

And filled with golden breath.

And as you inhale.

Draw energy up from the earth.

Up your feet,

Your legs,

Your hips.

Up into your heart.

And exhale.

Breath flows down into your feet.

Anchoring you.

Inhale energy from the earth.

Into your feet.

Up to your heart.

And back down from your heart.

Down to your feet.

Breathing energy up through your feet.

Up into your heart.

And exhaling down the body.

Down to your feet.

Anchoring you.

Inhale soles of feet to heart.

Exhale heart to feet.

And you do this rhythm on your own.

At a pace that feels natural to you.

You are fluid.

Grounded.

And open.

Release the breath.

And let your awareness rest.

In the center of your chest.

Once again.

Feel the afterglow of the breath.

You are radiant with prana.

And alive with beauty.

Notice yourself resting now.

As if floating in rose scented space.

The center of your chest.

The stillness holds you.

A gentle sound vibration begins to emerge.

The sacred mantra of Venus.

Let this vibration wash over you.

OM DRAM DREAM DRAM SA SHUKRA YANA MAHA OM DRAM DREAM DRAM SA SHUKRA YANA MAHA As you prepare to transition back into your day.

Know that the essence of Venus remains within you.

Soft,

Sweet,

And radiant.

And when you feel ready.

Begin to draw your attention once more to your physical body.

Feeling the gentle rise and fall of your breath.

Noticing the sensation of your body resting on the surface beneath you.

Bring your awareness to the air against your skin.

And any faint sounds in the room around you.

Or in the distance.

You might begin to wiggle your toes and your fingers.

And maybe roll out the wrists and ankles.

And you can stretch your arms above your head if it feels good.

Take your time,

There is no rush.

Honor the stillness within you.

Even as you awaken from it.

And if this energy spoke to you.

Consider working with the Venus Mantra regularly.

You may do this by chanting the Venus Mantra.

For 108 repetitions daily.

For 40 days.

This can invite transformation in your life.

And how you relate to love,

Beauty,

And the divine within.

Some people experience newfound artistic inspiration.

Or a more harmonious connection with others.

May your life become a sacred offering of pleasure,

Truth,

And divine love.

Namaste.
