The beauty of nature is that it takes its time.
Nothing is rushed or forced,
Always inching its way forward.
A gentle reminder that transformation happens gently and inevitably.
Breathing in,
Awakening,
Breathing out.
You have arrived here,
Arriving and settling gently into any shape that feels steady and easy.
This being here,
Exactly as you are in this moment,
Is enough.
Sense your body supported by the land beneath you.
See if you can let go of waiting,
If you can release any rushing.
Nothing in nature hurries and yet everything arrives.
Breathing into that,
Into nature's wisdom,
The patience of the soil,
The earthing of the roots,
Cultivating a relaxed attention,
The liveliness of the body's sensations.
What can you feel?
Knowing the ripple of your breath,
A quiet stream expanding,
Widening,
Flowing free.
Where does your breath begin today?
At the edges of your nostrils,
In the belly's quiet tide?
Can you feel your collarbones lifting and drifting like driftwood?
Tending to the senses as a way to be more fully here.
Can you see your thoughts just as thoughts?
They come and they go like airplanes,
No need to chase.
Simply knowing thoughts as thoughts,
A simple instrument for the mind,
An anchor that you might like to use.
Breathing in,
I come home to my body.
Breathing out,
I come home to the earth.
Resting in the present moment,
This is a wonderful moment.
You might wish to orient yourself towards a wise intention for this day.
What is it that you would like to consciously anchor into at times when you notice that you might be swept up or caught in a riptide in the mind?
And this intention might be used as a way to return to the here and now.
What am I practicing?
Know that this intention is a invisible and gentle reminder that transformation happens gently and inevitably.
Thank you for joining me today.
Wishing you a phenomenal day from my heart to yours.
Namaste.
