Get yourself nice and cozy here.
Letting yourself really arrive into a position that's most supportive for you right now.
That might mean making an adjustment to your physical structure by extending your legs out.
Perhaps you find yourself in a lying down position.
Choosing a position that's most comfortable for you.
And once you've started to settle in,
Just check in to see is there any other adjustment that I can make to really allow myself to rest even deeper and be 1% more comfortable.
Go ahead and adjust your temperature.
Maybe putting a blanket over top of you or a sweater.
And then allowing some space for your shoulders to maybe wiggle and then rest.
Begin to let yourself arrive here by bringing your awareness down and in.
Allowing whatever has been present earlier today for you to be just as it is.
And turning your attention to this moment by bringing your awareness to your breath.
And perhaps inviting a few slightly deeper breaths to travel in.
Receiving this breath.
And as you exhale,
It's like you allow the weight of gravity to really comfort you here.
Letting all the air out.
Again,
Breathing in a little bit deeper,
A little softer.
You might even make a sigh or a sound to let yourself settle in.
Turn your attention now to the subtle sensation of every place in your body that's touching the surface.
This might be your heels,
Maybe it's the back of the legs.
Bringing all your attention to the areas that are touching the surface.
And then allowing yourself to get a little heavier and sinking in.
Allowing the whole skeletal system,
All the bones to melt towards the earth as the muscles soften around them.
And so you really feel that you are held here.
Just as you are.
All of you is welcome.
Every part of you is welcome.
If you have thoughts arising,
Which is very natural and they will,
Know that this is okay and you can bring your attention back to my voice whenever you'd like.
And so sometimes you might dip in and out and that's all okay.
And so begin to now feel the muscles around the forehead beginning to soften here.
It's like the eyebrows gently release from each other.
And then the eyes actually get heavier into their sockets so that the muscles behind the eyeball soften and allow the eyeballs to recede inward toward the socket.
Then letting the eyelids melt down.
And then letting your ears now,
Both ears melt gently down towards the earth.
And allowing your collarbones to melt.
And bringing all your attention inward now into the tongue,
In the mouth,
Letting this muscle soften.
And then allowing the jaw to really gently,
Slightly move apart so it's like it's unhinging just a little bit so that all the muscles around the jaw soften.
And then feeling the scalp and all the hairs on top of the scalp release into the surface behind you.
Allowing the scalp to really soften.
And as you do so now feeling some warm glow of light arriving into the shoulders.
It's like a really gentle weighted light that's warm landing on the shoulders and allowing them to melt away from the ears.
Letting some of the weight that you may have been carrying is to be gently placed aside.
And for now the shoulders can rest.
And feeling this warmth,
This glow melting down the right arm now.
Down the right arm through the bone structure,
Down into the wrist and it pours down so that now all your attention and awareness lands in the right thumb.
In the tip of the right thumb,
Moves over to the pointer finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
And pinky finger.
Then feeling this glow in the whole right palm,
In that whole hand.
Then it starts to rise up and light up the whole arm.
So now you feel and sense the entire right arm.
And then you gently bring your attention down into the right hip.
Feeling,
Sensing this whole socket from the inside out.
Melting your attention down the thigh,
Through the bones itself,
Through the bone structure,
Down through the knee,
Through the shin,
The two bones here.
And it lands into the ankle and you can feel this warm glow concentrating into the big toe.
Moves over to the second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
And fifth toe.
And then your whole right foot starts to glow and fill up with this light,
To this warmth.
And now you feel the whole right leg,
Whole right leg.
And then this starts to expand and rise up through the side body.
So now you're feeling the right leg and it starts to encompass the right side,
The ribs,
Chest,
The right arm,
And up the right side of the face.
And so that now you're feeling the whole right side,
Whole right side awareness.
And it gently shifts to now concentrate into the left shoulder,
Where this light pours down the left arm,
Through the bones,
Around the elbow,
Down through the whole lower arm,
Into the wrist.
And this light concentrates into the left thumb.
And it shifts into the pointer finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
And pinky finger.
Feel and sense your whole left hand now.
And this light,
This glow starts to move up,
Expanding to fill the whole left arm now.
From the fingers up to the shoulder,
Whole left arm.
And it moves down into the left hip so that you feel the left hip socket from the inside out.
And it gently melts down and your attention melts down the thigh.
And then it moves down into the knee,
The lower leg,
And concentrates into the left big toe.
Feeling,
Sensing your whole left toe now.
Second toe.
Third toe.
Fourth toe.
And fifth toe.
And this light starts to pour up through the whole left foot and expanding into the whole left leg so that you feel and sense the whole left leg.
This light starts to encompass the whole left side.
So now you feel the whole left leg and the left side of the body.
And it moves up into the shoulder,
Up into the arm,
And whole left side of your head.
Feeling and sensing the whole left side of the body.
The whole left side of the body.
And then it starts to encompass the whole body.
Your body in its entirety.
Whole body.
Filled with this glow.
Whole body.
Releasing that visualization now and beginning to imagine what it feels like to be weighted down.
What thoughts,
Images,
Sensations arise with being weighted down?
Weighted heavy.
Down.
Weighted heavy.
And then that gently starts to recede and you can start to feel a lightness coming over you and lightness expansion.
What thoughts,
Sensations,
Sensations,
Images,
What is it like to imagine lightness?
Light like a feather.
Light.
Weightless.
And this lets go and now we transition into imagining concentration.
Lots of focus.
Concentration.
Mental effort.
Deeply concentrated.
And then allowing that to gently release and starting to imagine the mind having spaciousness,
A flow,
Openness.
And lastly,
Now imagining what it's like to be scanning rapidly.
Scanning your environment,
Scanning for sounds,
For sights.
Hypervigilance scanning.
Being attentive.
And a wave of release comes over you and now there's a sense of freedom with your attention.
Your mind,
Your attention can be carefree.
Free to look and sense wherever the wind blows,
Whatever interests you.
The freedom to flow with your attention.
Your attention.
Playfully.
What arises when you imagine this?
Then gently letting that go and starting to feel the breath rising up into the body,
Into a slight expansion.
Then as you exhale,
And then feeling a gentle softening,
Releasing with an exhale.
Breathing in,
Feeling the lightness and expansion.
Breathing out a gentle weight,
A release and softening.
Following your breath in its own time and watching these ebbs and flows.
Just as the ocean waves move up onto the shore and gently recede on a really gentle day,
Your breath flows smoothly and you watch as it expands,
Opens,
And as it gently recedes,
Softens.
Imagine yourself landing into a space,
A time where you were younger and there was a lot of fear within you.
There may have been overwhelm,
A troubling time.
Imagining yourself as you are now,
Landing and looking at this young one,
The younger you.
Take stock of what you see.
What is this young one's body position?
Where are they?
Where are they?
What is happening around them?
Gently see if you can make eye contact with them or not.
What do you see?
Do you get a sense of how they're feeling right now?
Do you receive some permission to transport them to a place that would be their ideal place right now?
If they could leave and teleport to another area,
One that's fun,
That feels really warm,
Comfortable.
You feel yourself landing there with them.
As your feet land,
You take a look around and you see what are the different colors and tones that are present around you here.
What does your young one want to explore?
Are there any comforting sounds that are present here?
Are there any aromas that are really pleasant?
And then you feel yourself settling in and allowing this young one to really arrive and recognize that they're here with you,
That they are free to be exactly as they are.
You open your arms and you feel the warmth of the young one.
They are free to be exactly as they are.
You open your arms to see if they would like an embrace right now or if they'd prefer their space.
You acknowledge each other and you feel this loving presence.
It's like the whole universe has come to embrace you both.
You can feel this warmth,
This care that's here.
And you share to your younger self that,
Of course,
Of course,
You feel this way.
It makes sense.
And you take a moment here to see if there's anything that they'd like to share or express.
Whenever that feels complete,
You nod your head and deeply acknowledge them for what they're experiencing.
And you share that you see them,
You hear them,
You feel them,
You feel their presence.
And that their experience and their feelings are valid.
And you feel your heart opening and pouring so much love out for them.
And you can feel that both of you are enveloped in this love.
It's like a blanket of love,
Of acceptance,
And forgiveness.
And you can hear that this space,
This love right here is always available to you both.
And that you can tune in and arrive here whenever you would like.
There's a moment of acknowledgement between the two of you.
And you feel yourself really gently releasing and starting to travel back by feeling your breath in your body now.
Feeling yourself land back into your body just as you are.
And feeling this warmth,
This love within.
This compassion that's here for you.
Whether you're open to receiving it or not,
This compassion is here.
And it envelops you in all of your feelings,
In all of the states,
However you are.
All parts of you are loved and welcomed into this embrace.
