Hi,

I'm Eunice.

I wasn't born in Ghana,

But I've come to consider it a second home.

I first visited as a traveler curious and open,

And what I experienced changed me.

Over time,

I kept returning,

Drawn not just by beauty,

But by depth.

Eventually,

I bought a home here and began building lasting relationships with people and communities that had welcomed me with care and generosity.

I'm not Ghanaian.

I don't speak for Ghanaians.

What I can speak to is how being in Ghana has shaped me,

How it's expanded my understanding of history,

Belonging,

And what it means to live in connection with land and tradition.

Ghana isn't curated for tourists.

It doesn't shape itself to fit your expectations.

And that's part of what makes being here powerful.

You're invited to witness,

To learn,

Not just see,

To listen,

Not just look.

And if you come with humility and openness,

You walk away with something real.

One thing that stands out to me is how present history is here.

You don't have to go to museums to feel it.

It's in the architecture,

The language,

The rituals,

The stories passed down from families.

Ghana holds centuries of wisdom,

Pain,

Resilience,

And brilliance.

Being here means making space for all of that.

It's not always easy,

But it is always meaningful.

I now co-lead cultural retreats to Ghana,

Not because I have all the answers,

But because I believe in the power of shared experience.

I want others to have the chance to see what I've seen,

To be moved the way I've been moved,

Not by performances or agendas,

But by honest,

Grounded human connection.
