Welcome to day 5 of the 7 day challenge to reclaim your balance.

Today we'll be focusing on accepting flaws and recognizing growth.

So let's begin by settling into a comfortable position somewhere where you can feel supported whether that's seated or lying down.

Just find that comfortable position and gently close your eyes and take a nice deep breath in connecting to your breath and slowly exhale when you're ready allowing yourself to fully arrive in this moment letting go of any stresses or strains and breathing in again filling your lungs with that life force itself and as you exhale feel your body relaxing into that space around you and with each breath allow yourself to become more grounded more peaceful in this very moment there's no rush this is your time your space your time to reflect and find balance within so today we will be focusing on the idea of accepting our flaws and recognizing where we can grow not from a place of self-criticism but from a place of self-compassion it's about creating balance in our lives by embracing all parts of who we are so let's start by acknowledging that none of us are perfect there is no perfect we all have flaws things we wish we could do better or habits we'd like to change but rather than seeing these imperfections as failures allow yourself to view them as part of being human of being you take a moment to bring to mind one aspect of yourself that maybe you find challenging it might be a habit a tendency or a way of thinking that you wish you could improve and as you think about this notice how it feels in your body perhaps there is some tension associated with that thought or maybe a sense of frustration something just notice notice what it is and now I'd like to ask you to take a nice deep breath in and as you exhale just soften those feelings see if you can just offer yourself some kindness just as you would for a friend remind yourself that it is okay to have imperfections they do not define your worth while it's important to accept our flaws it is also empowering to recognize where we can grow as growth isn't about fixing what's wrong it's about becoming the best version of ourselves for our own benefit and of course the benefit for those around us to to take a moment to reflect on a particular flaw or habit that may be impacting you or maybe impacting those in your life be honest with yourself it's quite hard sometimes to accept our flaws to even acknowledge our flaws but try if you can not in a way that leads to judgment but from a place of gentle curiosity how might improving this area create more balance for you or more harmony in your relationships now take a deep breath in and as you exhale imagine the possibility of change picture yourself gradually improving step by step how did you do it how do you work to change those things see yourself learning and growing in ways which feel really achievable but also very meaningful to you it's important to recognize that balance comes from both accepting who we are and striving to grow to change too much focus on either side can leave us feeling stuck or overwhelmed but we find that sweet spot we can allow ourselves to really thrive to move to shift to grow think about a time when you've worked on something perhaps a skill or a habit and how that change really benefited you it might have been a challenge at first but in the end it brought you a sense of accomplishment a sense of balance and now as you reflect on the area of yourself that you'd like to improve allow that same mindset of balance to really settle in you are both capable of change and worthy of acceptance as you are right now the two can coexist so easily if you allow yourself to open your mind to accept and to want that change growth is about moving it's about shifting it's not about perfection it's about progress and sometimes progress comes really slowly but every small step you take every tiny step you take towards improving yourself creates a ripple effect for positive change each moment of self-compassion each effort to be better contributes to a more balanced life so take another deep breath in and as you exhale feel a sense of peace just wash over you know that you are doing this for you and that you don't need to rush this process you're on a journey a challenge and every step counts even the small ones even the tiny ones they all count so visualize yourself now on this journey towards growth and balance for yourself see the road ahead not as something daunting but actually is something exciting an opportunity to evolve to bring more harmony into your life just like a sculptor standing before a block of marble the marble represents your life with its imperfections and potential you as the sculptor have the power to shape it gently chiseling away the parts that you no longer serve you whilst carefully refining the qualities that make you unique each stroke of your chisels done with care with patience just know this masterpiece cannot be created in a day and that with every chip removed brings you closer to closer to balance as you work to honor the raw beauty of that beautiful stone whilst you're also shaping it to be something even more refined because your life is your masterpiece and with each moment of self-reflection each moment of growth each moment of change you're sculpting something even more beautiful with even more balance so now just gently take another nice deep breath in and as you exhale feel that sense of calm that sense of balance and as you slowly bring your attention back to the room you are in you can feel that wonderful sense of pride knowing that you are accepting of you have a great day
