Hello and welcome to our community meditation space.

My name is Vivian Girard and it is my delight to be guiding us in a meditation for Light Protocol 04 for Grief.

The Light Medicine Cabinet of Meditations were first recorded in April of 2020 as the world shut down for a global pandemic and we refocused on health as a humanity.

They were re-recorded in June of 2025 with a live community attuning to the new collective frequency on our planet.

These visualizations are intended to support whatever current practices you already have for your own well-being,

Offering a bridge for how to consciously bring light as energy medicine into the human form.

They are a compliment to,

Not a replacement for,

Any care you receive from qualified health professionals.

No diagnosis,

Treatment or medical advice is provided.

Let us begin.

Light Protocol 04 for Grief.

Let's go ahead and close our eyes and allow yourself to start to come into presence here in this moment.

If you are able to put your feet firmly on the floor,

Allow yourself to land here.

There is something in you that is choosing to open,

Explore,

Be with the emotion of grief.

And maybe it is your own grief that you are moving through.

Maybe you are tuning into this for the collective grief on our planet.

Maybe you are simply holding space for someone you care about who is grieving.

Whatever has brought you here,

Allow yourself to land in this experience,

In this moment,

In whatever way feels best for you.

How do we come into this form of presence?

I find the breath is often a powerful way to do that.

So bring your attention into your body,

To your breath.

As you slow down your breathing and lengthen your breathing,

You might notice that you are already feeling sensations moving through your body.

When we choose to meditate together,

To co-create a meditation together,

All of us come into the same energy field,

The same consciousness.

And so it amplifies what we are experiencing ourselves.

It doesn't bring other people's emotions or energies into us if the container is held the way I am holding it.

But because we all have a match,

We all have a collective focus,

Whatever we are experiencing can be amplified.

Amplified so that we can understand better what is happening inside of ourselves and then choose what to do with that.

So if you are feeling a lot of emotion or a lot of intensity,

Bring your attention again to your feet,

All the way down through your body to your feet.

Your feet are planted here on this planet.

You chose to be a soul in a human body for this lifetime.

And in this moment,

You choose to be fully here,

Listening to this meditation,

Opening to whatever this experience is going to show you.

So we invite more and more of our own energy,

Our own consciousness,

To come down into the body,

Forward into the body,

Land step backwards into the body,

Wherever your energy is outside of you.

Invite your own consciousness to come into your body all the way down and through.

It's not a forcing it to happen.

It's a gentle invitation.

Mind,

Body,

Soul,

Consciousness,

All coming down,

Being present.

Relax the muscles of your body if you feel yourself tense enough.

This is your choice to be here,

So you can choose to stop that at any moment.

But if you're choosing to be here,

Why not be fully here?

As your attention comes into your body,

Bring it down through your body to your feet,

All the way down to your feet.

And watch as that happens,

How more of you can start to come into you now.

When we are guiding our own consciousness down through our body to our feet,

There's room for more to come behind that.

So I will name what may be happening in this community experience,

And you just feel what is true for you,

Keeping your focus on your feet.

For some of us,

When grief is fresh,

Or perhaps we've been in it for a while and we haven't found a way through it yet,

The grief can be either super heavy,

Super dense,

It's hard to even see through the intensity of it,

Or we've started running away from the grief.

We don't want to actually be with it because we're afraid of how heavy and dense it is.

So in this moment,

What I am offering is a safe space,

A community space where you can be in your body and be guided through a way to experience and visualize the energy of grief that will give you a new tool,

A new awareness.

It may mean you feel a little more.

It also may mean you now know how to move through it,

Find the gift that actually lives inside of grief,

Which is hard to find sometimes on our own.

So you make a choice to be present,

To be fully here in the body,

Bringing your power all the way down to your feet,

Relaxing your muscles as you do that.

And with our feet firmly planted here,

Our bodies relaxing into the moment,

Bring your attention gently through to your heart and your lungs.

In Chinese medicine,

The lungs are where we store grief.

It's where illness can develop if grief is not processed or accumulates over a long period of time.

And so the lungs are a powerful place to start this journey.

Knowing that the heart and the lungs they work together.

And so as we begin with the lungs,

We will make our way over to our heart.

When we bring our awareness to our lungs,

You may feel like it's hard to breathe,

Especially if you have a lot of grief or if the grief is more recent or more dense.

So maybe you want to wiggle your shoulders just a little bit,

Open your shoulders wider so that your lungs have a little more space for whatever we're going to explore.

And I will name what I often see and then you can determine if it's true for you.

Grief often looks to me like a gray fog that is heavy in the lungs.

It's cloudy,

It's dense,

It feels suffocating in some respect because it's not our natural state.

It's not our natural way of being the infinite soul in the human body.

The gray fog is often caused by pain,

Pain of the loss or pain of the regret.

And so as you explore what that feels like in you,

The awareness that it is a gray fog sometimes is all that we need in this moment.

So let your mind make a mental note.

What I find is we often want to change that when we're aware of it,

When we see that it's so dense and heavy and foggy in our lungs,

There's sometimes a desire to clear the fog,

Even if it's just a little bit to lighten it slightly.

Maybe the fog has been there for so long for you that you really just want to try to breathe some of it out.

So trust what feels true to you.

This is where I bring in light,

The light that I associate with the planet Venus,

With the divine feminine.

It's pink.

It's like a soft,

Beautiful pink,

Like a cotton candy color pink.

And I visualize,

You can match this if you'd like,

I visualize the planet Venus emanating this pink,

Pure frequency of light across the universe from wherever Venus is in association with Earth right now.

Venus hears this call and emanates this pink,

Crystallized,

Radiated light that goes all the way through the universe to the energy field of Gaia and then comes in.

And because we are calling it,

Claiming it for ourselves,

That pink light starts to come down through to our lungs.

In whatever way feels right to you.

It can come into your lungs through osmosis,

Comes in through your skin and it might feel harder to breathe.

So if that happens,

You just imagine that the pink can come in and like the rays of the sun,

When we have the colors of the sunset,

The pinks and the purples and the oranges,

Like the rays of light can start to tap,

Move,

Breathe through the fog in your lungs and it can stay exactly the same.

Or some of the gray fog can start to move out of your lungs,

Through your breath,

Down out of your body,

Into the ground.

It's just like when we see the fog,

The mist moving out of the field.

It's like the sun's rays come in and the fog starts to clear and it just sort of dissolves.

You can do that in your lungs and you can also visualize that the gray fog doesn't just move somewhere else.

It's just like the fog is moving go to someone else.

The gray fog starts to go down into the earth.

It can be transmuted into just pure energy,

Pure light.

We see it as gray and the earth transmutes it into whatever color is needed.

So you lean back as this is happening and you allow whatever feels true for you.

There's no right or wrong way to do it.

There's no right or wrong speed.

You can simply observe and understand the process and when you feel ready,

Come back and bring that into your own lungs.

You don't have to do or change anything in this moment.

If it feels like,

Thank goodness,

Now I can see there's a way to move some of the density,

You can imagine that pink light comes in whatever way it's coming in to your lungs and it just starts clearing the layers of the fog,

The thickness of the fog.

And each time it's clearing,

You're moving that gray fog out of your mouth and down to the earth and the energy is shifting,

Clearing.

Relax your muscles as you do that.

You use your own breath to heal your own lungs and you move at whatever pace is best for you.

You see the pink light coming in from Venus,

Coming into your lungs and then clearing the fog and sending the gray out your mouth through your breath down into the earth.

What I will show you is what's available next.

If it feels in alignment,

You can do exactly what if it feels like this was all I needed for today,

Just breathe and be.

There's nothing more you have to do.

What is possible as we have this awareness about light and breath and grief is that we can keep bringing this pink crystallized light into our lungs and breathing and clearing the gray and eventually what will happen,

Maybe immediately,

Maybe it takes multiple times of doing this process over and over and over.

What starts to happen is that the pink light eventually clears all of the gray fog.

Not because the gray fog is wrong,

But because we are complete with the teachings,

The lessons of the grief.

Grief brings us a deeper appreciation for this human life.

And so as you bring pink light more and more into your lungs and then feel that pink light moving through your lungs into your heart and then your heart is clearing.

If there was gray fog in your heart,

The gray fog is also clearing from that space.

There's a freedom that starts to move through your heart,

Your lungs,

Your whole heart chakra,

A liberation,

A cleansing.

So you feel that pink light just clearing your heart.

Moving through your entire breathing system,

Through your entire heart chakra and you feel how your heart chakra is filling up with this pink light.

And notice how your body is doing.

So you may need to stabilize your body.

If it's a quick shift,

You just steady your body and you allow the light to move on its own.

You don't have to force the light and you keep breathing.

And what you notice perhaps now,

Perhaps over time is that eventually the heart chakra feels rejuvenated,

Cleansed,

Recalibrated,

And this alchemy begins.

It's like magic to witness it.

The natural color of energy,

Light for our heart chakra is green.

It's hard to feel the green when it's gray.

But once we have cleansed the heart chakra with this pink light,

This divine feminine care and love from Venus,

Is that we start to restore the natural color,

The frequency of our heart chakra.

You may feel it like a motor,

An engine turning over,

Or it may feel like an alchemy,

Chemical transformation inside of your body.

But as pink starts to shift into green,

It's that life force energy.

It's the color of the new growth,

The new birth in spring,

In the seasons of nature.

And so you simply breathe into your heart chakra,

Your lungs,

Your heart,

You expand that green,

You move that through your entire heart chakra.

Our heart chakra in the physical body,

It goes from the center of our chest all the way out to our shoulders.

And if we were to stretch our arms out,

It would go all the way both arms to the tips of your fingers.

That is how wide your heart chakra is.

When we are grieving,

We often have our arms crossed or wrapped around ourselves.

And so we forget just how big our heart chakra capacity is.

When we start doing this healing work,

And this green energy is moving through the center of our heart chakra,

It's like watching a bird slowly start to open,

Unfurl their wings.

The energy has to expand.

It's like the capacity within us becomes restored.

There's no way we can't expand that natural green life force that wants to move through us.

And as we start to expand the energy field of our heart chakra,

The gift of grief becomes visible to us.

We start to remember.

The gift of grief is our capacity to love again,

To remember the resiliency of our grief.

Mind,

Body,

Soul,

Heart.

To feel how every time we grieve,

We hold ourselves small and tight and we move through the fog of grief.

As we transmute,

Alchemize that energy and stretch our heart chakra wider,

It will be wider than it has ever been before.

The natural life force that moves through the heart chakra is regenerative.

When we trust that,

When we continuously move through the grief and come back into this open receptivity,

Our heart is more than it ever was before.

Our capacity to love is greater than ever,

Than we could have even imagined.

And it comes from our ability to love.

So,

Soothe your heart chakra.

If this feels intense,

Just relax your muscles,

Bring your capacity back to what feels comfortable right now.

You may simply have wanted to touch the feeling of what it's like once your heart is expanded again.

Touch that and then come back to what feels good to you in this moment.

This light protocol offers you a reminder that the journey of loving and grieving ultimately is to bring us back to more loving.

And so it's not about rushing the grieving process,

But it's remembering that that's what follows.

I sometimes use the description of a forest fire,

How the forest fire will bring everything down to the ground.

And yet the natural process of the forest is to regenerate,

To rebirth again,

To go from that burnt black,

Slowly,

Slowly to green,

For new trees to grow,

Emerge,

And a new forest to come through.

And our heart chakra is made the same way.

And it's okay if it takes a while or if we get stuck.

This light protocol is to show us,

Remind us of the pathway through the grief and into the gift.

Because once we have loved and lost,

And then we start to open up to loving again,

We are a match to an even greater love than what we were before.

And our system just needs time to prepare for that.

Not to get stuck in it permanently,

But to lean in and allow it to be more.

So you bring your attention all the way down through your body to your feet.

Feel your feet planted firmly here.

You chose to be a soul in a human body because there was something beautiful that you wanted to experience.

And sometimes that beauty takes us on a journey.

So you come back into center,

Into steadiness.

You breathe through the layers,

And you remember where you are going,

What is possible.

We are going to come out of the meditation and back into this moment.

So as you feel ready,

Slowly open your eyes,

But just look at one thing in front of you.

Take your time coming back into this full presence.

I like to open my eyes and look at my hands,

And I always have a crystal in my hand.

So I start wiggling my fingers around that crystal.

You can wiggle your toes,

Allow yourself to maybe roll your shoulders.

And then as you're ready,

Start taking in more of the room around you.

If your body needs soothing,

You can wrap your arms around yourself and rub your shoulders,

Rub your arms,

Pat your legs.

Let yourself come back into full presence gently,

Steadily.

There's no rushing any of this.

And then my suggestion is to drink a big glass of water,

To take your time,

Perhaps to journal what came through for you,

To sketch the image if it helps you to land that more firmly in your awareness,

And then to move slowly from this space.

And then to come share.
