Hello dear friends.
So today I'm delighted to get to share with you a chakra threading meditation.
I designed this meditation so that we may be invited into the possibility of each of the seven energy centers of the body as both a source of input and output for our energy.
Now this is happening all the time naturally,
Right?
We're taking in energy through our digestive system,
Our solar plexus,
Or taking in energy through loving connection through our heart,
Or in energy through grounding,
Through the home,
Through the root.
And expressing this energy out through the voice,
Through the heart,
Through our passion,
Through our vision.
So what's really key here is just to recognize that these processes are already happening,
Whether we're conscious of them or not.
And the objective here with this meditation today is just to bring a little bit more awareness to this process.
Beyond bringing awareness to these processes that are already happening,
This also serves to weave the system together.
To consciously connect each center to each of the other centers allows for a fully functional and integrated system of energy in the body.
And so we'll start today's meditation either seated or lying down.
And whether you're seated or lying down,
Aligning the spine,
Bringing a relaxed alertness to the body,
And facing the palms upwards as a gesture of receptivity.
And so we'll start by scanning each chakra in descending order from the crown all the way to the root.
To begin to visualize the system,
To bring awareness,
To get familiar.
So with the next breath in,
Collecting up attention and placing it in the space above the head.
Placing it on the space above the head at sahasrara,
The seventh chakra,
The crown.
And imagining just a soft violet light radiating out in 360 degrees.
Maybe there's a gentle pulsation here.
Maybe there's a gentle pulsation.
Just noticing here,
The seventh chakra is associated with divine connection,
The connection to the great mystery,
The beyond.
And releasing this exploration and drifting awareness down to the space between the eyebrows.
It's the third eye center,
The sixth chakra.
This is ajna chakra,
Associated with the color indigo.
As you bring attention to the third eye chakra here,
Sensing a 360 degree radiation of this beautiful indigo color,
Softening at the brow point,
Releasing and drifting down to the throat.
You might find it useful here to let out a little hum on your next exhalation,
Just to feel the throat chakra.
This is vishuddha,
Blue-throated.
This is the space where poison is transmuted into medicine.
But for now,
Just imagining this radiant blue light expanding out in all directions from the throat,
The fifth chakra,
And releasing again to drop one layer down deeper into the heart.
And as you breathe in and out here,
You might imagine that with each inhalation,
The chest expanding,
And with each exhalation,
Contracting like a balloon.
This is anahata chakra,
Meaning unstruck sound.
So just imagining this radiance of the heart expanding out in all directions,
And just taking note of what you feel here.
It might not be as simple as feeling a radiance right now,
Just yet.
The heart is a remarkably complex center,
And can carry so many things,
Grief or pain.
So if that's present,
It's okay.
Just notice that.
Offer your attention.
And drifting down,
Remembering that we will have more time to revisit the center.
And as we drift down,
Beginning to sense the warmth of the belly,
The solar plexus chakra,
Also known as manipura,
Rests here.
The third chakra,
Associated with the color yellow.
So a vibrancy,
A warmth.
Imagining this yellow light extending out in all directions.
And again,
Just noticing what might be here as we descend lower into the system.
Drifting down one more layer into the svadhisthana,
Or sacral chakra.
The center of creativity,
Characterized by warm orange light.
And so just imagining here,
About three inches below the navel,
The expansion of this warm light in all 360 degrees.
Resting,
Releasing,
And sinking down one more layer into the root.
This is muladhara chakra.
The root is associated with red.
The concepts of grounding,
Stability,
The final and first chakra.
This is the first chakra.
The foundation.
So just imagining,
If you will,
This red light expanding in all directions.
And especially traveling down through the legs,
And then into the feet,
Rooting.
So now that we have scanned from the crown all the way down to the root,
It's my hope that the body can begin to rest.
And then we can begin to thread.
So we'll keep awareness here in the root.
And we'll now take this energy of the root and thread it through the other six centers in ascending order.
So again,
Imagining the warm red light of the root.
And as you inhale,
Take that red light up to meet the orange light of the sacral.
And as you exhale,
Release back down into the root.
The next breath in,
Bringing the red root energy up to the solar plexus.
And release on the exhale.
Inhale,
Bringing the red root energy up to the throat.
Exhale,
Releasing,
Maybe on a sigh.
Inhale,
Bringing the root energy up to the third eye,
The space between the eyebrows.
Exhale,
Release.
Inhale,
The red root up to the crown.
And exhale,
Down the spine.
If you're seated here,
You might bring a gentle rocking to your seat.
And if you're lying down,
Maybe swaying back and forth.
Sometimes a little bit of movement can help these pathways land in the body.
Now bringing awareness to the sacral chakra,
Three inches below the navel center.
This orange light.
So we'll start by circuiting energy down to the root.
So inhaling,
Sending the orange light of the sacral down to the root.
Exhale,
Releasing.
And now we'll go above the sacral center.
So inhaling the orange light up into the yellow light of the solar plexus.
Exhale,
Release.
Inhale through the sacral up to the heart.
Inhale the orange light of the sacral up to the green light of the heart.
Exhale,
Release.
Inhale the orange light of the sacral up to the blue light of the throat.
Exhale and release.
Inhale the orange light of the sacral up to the indigo light of the third eye.
And release.
Inhale the orange light of the sacral up to the crown.
And release.
Now tuning into the solar plexus,
This yellow light.
And again we'll start by threading to the lower chakras and move in ascending order.
So inhaling the yellow light of the manipura,
The solar plexus,
Into the sacral.
Exhale,
Release.
Inhale the yellow light of the solar plexus down into the red of the root.
And release.
Inhale the yellow light of the solar plexus into the green of the heart.
And exhale to release.
Inhale the yellow light of the solar plexus into the throat.
And release.
Inhale the yellow light of the solar plexus up to the crown.
And release.
And just taking a pause here to notice what you're feeling in the body.
The invitation for synchronizing and weaving.
Well in effect.
And we'll continue with the heart.
Again,
Touching the chakras below the heart and then the ones above.
So following me,
Inhale the green light of the heart down to the solar plexus.
And release.
Inhaling the green light of the heart down to the orange of the sacrum.
Inhaling the green light of the heart down into the orange of the sacral.
And release.
Inhaling the green light of the heart down to the root.
And release.
And now above the heart,
Inhaling the green light of the heart up to the blue light of the throat.
And release.
Inhaling the green light of the heart up to the third eye center.
And release.
Inhaling the green light of the heart up to the crown.
And release.
Coming into rhythm and moving up to the throat.
Inhaling the blue light of the throat down to the green light of the heart.
And release.
Inhaling the blue light of the throat down to the solar plexus.
And release.
Inhaling the blue light of the throat down into the sacral.
And release.
Inhaling the blue light of the throat down into the red of the root.
And release.
Moving up,
Inhaling the blue light of the throat to the third eye.
And release.
Inhaling the blue light of the throat up to the crown.
And letting go.
Notice what you feel in the throat and all the way down the spine.
And then drifting awareness up to third eye.
Space between the eyebrows,
The indigo light.
Inhaling this indigo light down into the throat.
And release.
Inhaling this indigo light down into the green of the heart.
And release.
Inhaling this indigo light down into the solar plexus.
And release.
Inhaling this indigo light down into the sacral,
The orange.
And release.
Inhaling this indigo down to the root.
And release.
Inhaling this indigo and sending it to the violet of the crown.
And release.
And finally,
Drifting awareness up to the space above the head,
The crown chakra.
Inhaling violet light and sending it down into the third eye center.
And release.
Inhaling violet light and sending it into the indigo of the third eye center.
And release.
Inhaling violet light and sending it down into the blue of the throat.
And let go.
Inhaling violet light and sending it down into the heart.
And release.
Inhale,
Sending the indigo light of the crown down to the solar plexus.
And release.
Inhale,
Sending the violet light of the crown to the sacral.
And release.
Inhale,
Pulling the indigo light of the crown all the way down to the root.
Hold.
And exhale.
So sensing now that all of the centers are now interwoven with one another.
Resting in this knowing that any of these seven centers is capable of receiving nourishing input.
And also is an outlet for expression.
So energy into and out of the body can happen in so many ways.
And the diversity of these pathways is now reinforced,
Is nourished.
Just resting here.
If you need to go and get moving with the rest of your life.
I suggest taking one breath to imagine protective orb around your field,
Around your body.
And as you exhale it grows a little stronger and brighter.
Before beginning to bring movement to the body and finish your practice.
I offer you my deepest gratitude for diving into this chakra threading meditation with me.
And I can't wait for more.
May you be well.
May you be at ease.
May you be full of light.
And may you forever open.
Thank you.
