As you lie down and allow your body to receive restfulness,

Gently give yourself permission to release all thoughts that come through the mind,

Knowing that those which are important will return to you if need be,

Also knowing that the noise of the mind is welcome to be released.

Gently set them aside as we turn our attention inward,

Creating harmony between the mind and the body by simply allowing the reconnection of our nervous system and our sensations with our awareness.

As your awareness becomes more and more attuned to the simple individual sensations of the body,

Allow each sensation to be touched with your mind or your awareness without judgment,

Without fear,

Without any story at all.

If we allow the sensations to simply be what they are,

Just like with the thoughts of the mind,

We welcome them to show themselves and also to be released.

Allow yourself a few moments to allow these sensations to communicate with you,

Welcoming them as they are the communication from your body,

Showing you a pathway to release.

With each sensation,

Simply acknowledge it and let it pass.

Allow it to change,

Unfolding as it needs to unfold,

To be processed and released.

And as you dwell in this space of sensation,

Remember that every story,

Judgment and emotion tied to each sensation is a creation of the mind and as we release these ties,

Each sensation unwinds and allows our nervous system to let go.

As you set the intention of allowing the nervous system to let go,

Create a new intention for yourself that welcomes the soft,

Comforting and ever-deepening beckon of sleep.

We will replace any fears,

Anxieties and stressors about sleep with the knowledge that we can make the choice of supporting our sleep by telling our subconscious minds and reprogramming our inherent patterns that we've developed to reorient,

To reignite the ease of restfulness.

Whatever sensations arise from this group of statements are sensations that we can also unfold and unwind,

Allowing ourselves to reconnect with the softness of restfulness.

Allow your awareness to stay within the body,

Letting your nervous system know it is time for rest.

It is time to end the day and it is safe to drift off into a softer,

Quieter state of being where rest heals our every sound,

Regenerates our energy and gives us a beautiful introduction to the world of dreams.

As we welcome this side of our beings,

We allow ourselves to sink deeper and deeper into a loving nothingness,

Filled only with peace and healing,

Allowing ourselves to receive the energies of the universe as we close for the day.
