Welcome and thank you for joining me today.

In this meditation,

We will embark on a journey to connect with and understand your inner child.

This practice can help you access deep insights,

Heal old wounds and rediscover the joy and wonder of your childhood self.

So please take a moment to find a comfortable position,

Either seated or lying down,

Where you can fully relax and be present during this experience.

Now gently close your eyes and begin to turn your attention inward.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Hold for a moment,

And then slowly exhale through your mouth.

Feel the tension begin to melt away with each breath.

Notice the support of the ground beneath you,

Whether you're seated or lying down.

Feel the stability and grounding it provides,

Allowing you to relax even more deeply.

Begin by bringing your attention to the top of your head.

Awareness travel down through your forehead,

Your eyes,

Your cheeks,

And your jaw.

Continue down to your neck and shoulders,

Feeling any sensations that arise.

As you scan your body,

Notice any areas of tension or relaxation.

Simply observe these sensations without judgment.

If you find any areas of discomfort or tension,

Take a deep breath in and imagine sending your breath to those spots.

As you exhale,

Visualize the tension melting away,

Allowing a wave of relaxation to spread through your body.

Now gently bring your attention to your breath.

Simply observe the natural rhythm as it flows in and out.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Hold for a moment,

And then slowly exhale through your mouth.

Feel the air fill your lungs and then gently release.

As you continue to breathe deeply and steadily,

Recognize your breath as a source of life and a bridge connecting you to your inner self.

Let each inhale bring in energy and each exhale release any lingering tension.

Imagine now that you are traveling back in time to a safe and happy place from your childhood.

It could be a favorite spot in your home,

A beloved park,

Or anywhere that holds joyful memories for you.

Visualize this place in as much detail as possible.

See the colors and shapes around you,

Hear the familiar sounds,

Perhaps the laughter of friends or the rustle of leaves in the wind.

Notice any scents that bring back memories,

Like the smell of fresh grass,

Baking cookies or your favorite childhood snack.

As you immerse yourself in this scene,

Imagine seeing your younger self there.

Observe your younger self's appearance,

The way they move and the expressions on their face.

Feel the emotions that arise as you reconnect with this part of yourself.

Now find a comfortable spot within this childhood setting where you can sit and feel at ease.

This is a place where you can connect deeply with your inner child.

As you settle into this spot,

Visualize your younger self approaching you.

This is your inner child,

Coming to meet you in this safe and happy place.

Take a moment to observe your inner child closely.

Notice their appearance,

What they are wearing and how they carry themselves.

Notice the energy and demeanor they bring.

Do they seem happy,

Curious or perhaps in need of comfort and reassurance?

Allow yourself to fully connect with this younger version of you.

Now take a moment to silently ask your inner child some questions.

You might ask them how they are feeling,

What they desire or what experiences they remember most vividly.

Allow yourself to be open and curious.

Listen carefully to your inner child's responses.

These may come as words,

Feelings or even images.

Trust that whatever arises can allow yourself to fully engage with these responses.

As you receive these responses,

Embrace your inner child with compassion and acceptance.

Acknowledge any insights or feelings that come up and let your inner child know that they are seen,

Heard and loved.

Now it's a time to slowly start returning to the present moment.

Gently begin to shift your awareness back to your current surroundings.

As you transition back,

Bring with you the insights and feelings you experienced during your journey with your inner child.

Hold on to the connection and understanding you've gained.

Take a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.

With each breath,

Feel yourself becoming more grounded and centered.

And when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes and return to your surroundings,

Carrying a sense of peace and self-awareness with you.

Thank you for taking the time to connect with your inner child today.

Take a moment now to reflect on your experience and the insights you have gained.

Acknowledge the feelings and understandings that emerged during this journey.

Carry with you a sense of peace,

Self-awareness and a deep connection you've established with your inner child.

Thank you for taking the time to connect with your inner child today.

Acknowledge the feelings and understandings that emerged during this journey.

Carry with you a sense of peace,

Self-awareness and a deep connection you've established with your inner child.
