Welcome to this guided meditation to help you set goals.
I want to welcome you and allow you to find a nice comfortable position.
You want this position to allow the body to be relaxed and alert.
When you find that position,
Go ahead and roll your shoulders out gently.
Expanding your chest.
Lengthening the spine.
And resting your hands either in your lap or on your knees.
And when you're ready,
Closing the eyes.
Begin by noticing if there's any tension in the body.
And allow these areas to soften as you begin to deepen your breath.
Taking a long,
Deep breath in through the nose.
And a long,
Deep breath out through the mouth.
And again.
A long,
Deep breath in.
And a long,
Deep breath out.
On your next exhale,
Release the air slowly.
Noticing the urge to rush.
Noticing the urge to rush.
And then letting that go.
One last time,
Breathing in through the nose.
Holding that breath for a moment at the top.
And letting it go.
Settling into your practice comfortably and peacefully.
And then returning to a nice and easy,
Natural pace of breath.
Relaxing between the eyebrows.
Relaxing your shoulders down towards the ground.
And as any thoughts come to mind,
You may feel distracted.
Just know that that's okay.
And when you notice it,
Return to the sensation of breath.
See if you can begin to notice anything new.
In between each inhale and exhale.
Staying with the breath.
Staying still.
Allowing yourself to become increasingly aware of the weight of gravity anchoring you into this moment.
As you feel centered and anchored.
You set an intention to allow yourself to align with mental clarity and focus today.
And with this clarity,
You feel yourself become more open.
More willing.
And more ready.
Today is the opportunity to build the tomorrow that you desire.
And you are filling yourself with positive energy.
And with positive emotions.
Right here.
Right now.
Think of a short term goal.
Something that you'd like to accomplish today.
Visualize yourself performing this task.
Allow a soft smile to come across your face.
As you see this task come to completion.
Taking a nice big deep breath in.
And letting it all go with a nice big exhale.
Now bring into focus a long term goal.
Something that you want to achieve in the next two or three years of time.
Take a few breaths to think about this goal.
And as you let go,
Take a few breaths to think about this goal.
Or if you have no goal set,
You can set a goal here in this space.
Whether it's personal or professional.
Just bring this goal to mind.
Whatever that goal may be.
Success is different for everyone.
So be sure not to judge yourself as you bring this goal to your mind.
Now begin to visualize yourself achieving this goal.
As you really think about this goal,
You begin to see the details and what it looks like.
Are there people involved with this goal?
What's the environment?
Be as clear as possible and gently bring all the details to mind.
And as you have this vision in your mind,
Recognize any emotions that begin to surface as you bring up this image.
Notice any feelings that may be holding you back.
Any fear or uncertainty.
Any lack of confidence.
Or any feelings of being overwhelmed by this goal.
Rather than playing out the story of fear or uncertainty in your head,
Instead bring to mind the strongest version of yourself achieving success and accomplishing this goal.
Imagine how you would walk.
Imagine how you would stand.
Imagine your posture.
Imagine the expression on your face.
And as you imagine the strongest,
Most confident version of yourself,
You begin to see yourself achieve this long-term goal with ease.
Tackling each step along the way to achieve this goal with kindness,
Care,
Mindfulness,
Patience,
And wisdom.
Imagine how self-assured you would sound.
The words you would use.
The reaction of the people around you.
If there are things that are different to imagine in the strong,
Confident version of yourself,
Imagine the most successful person you know,
Whether they're fictional or real.
Take the parts of them that you find that make them appear confident.
And mirror that onto your most confident version of yourself.
Notice the clothes you're wearing.
Notice the way you talk and your mannerisms.
Notice your body language.
Mirroring all the personality treats that this person holds that you could apply to yourself.
See if you can sink in just a little deeper into yourself and notice these positive traits.
Allowing yourself to feel strong,
Confident,
Disciplined,
Creative,
And optimistic.
Visualize yourself achieving any goal that you set your mind to.
And if at any point you experienced doubt,
Return your mind back to that strong version of yourself.
Use this image as an anchor for when you begin to feel uncertain about your goals or you have nervousness about your success.
And now as this practice comes to an end,
Let's take one deep breath in and upon the exhale open your eyes and upon the exhale open your eyes.
You've done a wonderful job today.
Go live out your dreams,
Achieve your goals,
And I hope you have a wonderful day.
