Hello and welcome to this meditation to reflect on a positive future.
So let's begin by taking a moment to allow your body to settle.
Finding a position that's comfortable for you.
So maybe that's one that allows your spine to be long with a natural curve in your low back.
You can close your eyes or keep them open.
With a soft gaze downward a few feet in front of you.
Let the belly and the shoulders relax.
And today I'll be your guide through practice to envision a positive future.
This is a chance to connect with a place that's inside of us.
That wants to work towards a life of meaning and fulfillment.
This is a useful way to consider how we can care for ourselves and for others.
And how to show up at our best to meet life's challenges.
Before we start,
Take a big full breath in.
And a long breath out.
Now allow the breath to find its natural rhythm.
In and out.
Allowing yourself to be fully present with this breath.
In this meditative practice I'm going to provide you with questions.
To prompt ideas and responses that can help you find a positive future.
And throughout this practice allow your body and mind to feel loose and open.
Now you can repeat the questions that I offer silently to yourself.
And try to resist the urge to problem solve.
And see if anything comes up on its own organically.
If nothing comes to mind you can always continue to rest your attention on your breath.
Until something does come up.
So let's begin.
Ask yourself.
What kind of future do I feel deeply moved towards?
What kind of future do I feel deeply moved towards?
Notice the thoughts and feelings and images that come to mind.
Meanwhile remembering to breathe.
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
And as you hold this positive future in your mind.
Begin to notice what feelings are present.
Here's some more questions to help you explore the future you're deeply moved towards.
How can I show up in a way that will allow this positive future to unfold?

Next,
How can I show up fully for the opportunities that I will encounter?

What might get in the way?
And how will I move beyond it?

Now see yourself right now somewhere in this positive future.
And begin to reflect on the things that you did that enabled you to get there.
Begin to see yourself doing some of these things.
So maybe it's spending time with loved ones.
Or engaging in a daily practice that supports clarity and focus.
Or putting your energy into learning a new skill.
Maybe it's how you allow yourself to connect with others.
Begin to see those things in your mind's eye.
And notice what it feels like as you imagine doing them.
Know that you can come back to this meditation at any time to rediscover connection to this place that's inside.
And that you're ready to create this positive future for yourself.
We all have the ability to improve our lives and the lives of those around us.
Can you take this feeling with you as you head back into your day?
Can you allow it to guide you in how you interact with the world now?
