Hello and welcome to this after work decompression meditation.

Go ahead and settle in.

Finding a nice comfortable position.

Either lying down or sitting up.

As you begin to adjust yourself into this very comfortable position.

Go ahead and see if you can't get just 10% more comfortable.

Grabbing a blanket to wrap around you.

Fluffing pillows.

Taking a sip of water.

Putting on some cozy socks.

Whatever would make you just a little bit more comfortable.

Do that first.

If you need more time,

You can pause this meditation.

And when you're ready,

You can press unpause and continue.

As you settle into this meditation,

Take a nice big deep breath in through your nose.

Long audible exhale out through the mouth.

And take a moment to start to let the day go.

Mentally pack it away.

And begin to thank the universe for another day of life.

Make any final adjustments or movements.

And begin to settle into stillness.

You've done so much today.

And tomorrow will be another day.

But right now,

There is nothing you need to do.

Except allow your body to rest and restore after a long day of work.

Now begin to let your breath slow down.

Smooth,

Slow,

Steady breaths.

And becoming aware of your breathing,

Begin to feel the rhythm of your breath slow down.

And become effortless and natural.

Allow this nice,

Slow,

Steady rhythm of your breath to flow in and out of your body.

And as you breathe,

Allow each breath cycle to become even slower,

Even more relaxed than the one before it.

Take your time.

Slow down.

And just breathe.

Now bring your awareness to your body.

Take a mental scan of your body and notice where you're holding onto tension still.

And with each exhale,

Allow yourself to release and let go.

Letting those slow,

Low,

Effortless breaths to continue to flow.

Bringing you closer to rest and relaxation.

As you continue to breathe and let go of your day,

I want you to begin to picture in your mind's eye a cabin.

You feel so safe,

So relaxed.

It's the coziest cabin you've ever been in.

It's evening and the sun's just about to set.

You make yourself a cup of tea,

Walk over to the couch that's in front of a giant window.

And from here,

You can see the sun beginning to set behind the mountaintops.

As you sit on the couch,

You cover yourself with a blanket and you enjoy the bliss of watching the sunset.

With each sip of tea,

In each moment,

The sky gets a little bit darker and you become a little bit more relaxed.

As you sip your tea,

The sky goes from reds to purples to blue and eventually an inky black.

The stars begin to come out.

There's a twinkle in the sky.

You finish your tea,

Lie down on the couch,

And you suddenly feel so relaxed that you're ready to rest.

You lie nestled in a blanket,

Listening to the sounds of the forest at night.

Watch the stars twinkle and shine overhead,

Soaking up all this relaxing and restful energy of the stars and the night around you.

As you feel your eyes get heavier,

As you sit deeper into relaxation and restorative rest,

You can stay here as long as you'd like,

But if you're ready,

You can gently awaken,

Wiggling your fingers and toes and slowly opening your eyes.

You can take the evening to now be prepared to be deeply relaxed and you can come back to this meditation anytime you need.

Thank you for being here.

I'll see you next time.
