Hi,
I'm Kate and welcome to this guided tapping practice.
Tapping also known as emotional freedom technique is a powerful way to reduce stress and bring balance to your mind and body.
Today we're going to focus on letting go of stress and inviting a sense of calm into your life.
Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down.
Close your eyes if that feels comfortable for you and take a big deep breath in through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth.
Before we begin,
Let's check in with how you're feeling.
On a scale of 1 to 10,
Where 1 is no stress and 10 is very high stress,
How would you rate your current level of stress?
Simply make a mental note of that number.
We'll be tapping on specific points of the body while focusing on the emotions or sensations that come up.
As we tap,
I'll guide you through the phrases that help release tension and welcome calm.
If at any time you feel overwhelmed,
You can pause,
Take a breath,
And return when you're ready.
Let's begin.
Take your hand and tap gently on the side of your opposite hand.
On the fleshy part just below the pinky.
This is called the karate chop point.
Repeat after me either out loud or silently in your mind.
Even though I feel this stress in my body,
I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though I'm holding on to tension right now,
I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though I feel overwhelmed,
I choose to release this stress and welcome calm.
Keep tapping here for a few more moments,
Breathing deeply.
Now,
Move to the beginning of your eyebrows,
Just above the inner corners of your eyes.
Gently tap with two fingers and repeat.
This stress I'm feeling,
It feels heavy.
But I am ready to let it go.
Now move to the side of your eyes on the bone near your temples.
Gently tap here.
Now repeat.
All this tension,
I don't need to carry it anymore.
I am safe and supported.
Tap under your eyes on the bone just below and repeat.
This stress in my body,
I'm letting it go now.
I choose peace.
Tap gently under your nose between your upper lip and your nose and repeat.
Releasing this stress.
Letting it melt away.
I feel lighter already.
Move to the crease between your lower lip and chin.
Tap gently and repeat.
I release any tension I'm holding here.
I choose calm and clarity.
I am safe.
Now tap just below your collarbone on the either side of your chest and repeat.
This stress no longer affects me.
It no longer serves me.
I am letting it go now.
I welcome calm into my body and mind.
Now tap under your arm about four inches below your armpit on the side of your body and repeat.
I am releasing all the tension I've been holding on to.
I feel safe,
Calm,
And supported.
Finally,
Tap gently on the crown of your head in the center and repeat.
Letting go of stress.
Welcoming peace.
I feel calm and balanced.
Now we're returning to the karate point on our hand and tapping gently.
Now we're repeating.
Even though I still feel some stress,
I deeply and completely accept myself.
I'm ready to let go even more now.
I choose to feel safe and at ease.
Tap on your eyebrow points again and repeat.
Any remaining tension.
I'm letting it go now.
I am open to peace.
Tapping on the side of the eyes.
Now repeat.
This remaining stress.
I release it with ease.
I feel lighter.
Tapping under your eyes now.
Repeat.
I am letting go of what no longer serves me.
I welcome a sense of calm and clarity.
Tapping under your nose.
Repeat.
Releasing the last bit of tension.
I feel grounded and safe.
Tapping on your chin point.
Repeat.
I am open to calm and balance.
I trust in my ability to let go.
Tapping on your collarbone points.
Repeat.
I am releasing the rest of this stress.
I welcome peace into every cell of my body.
Tapping under your arm.
Repeat.
Letting go completely now.
I feel free and supported.
Let's finish this round by tapping on the top of the head.
And repeat.
Feeling calm.
Feeling balanced.
Feeling at ease.
Take a deep breath in now.
Exhale fully.
Let your hands rest gently in your lap or by your sides.
Notice how your body feels now.
Is there any shift in the tension you were feeling earlier?
Check back in with your original number.
Has it gone down?
Remember,
Tapping is a tool you can return to at any time that you need to release stress and reconnect with yourself.
You've done a great job today.
Thank you for taking this time for yourself.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes and bring yourself back to the present moment.
Feeling calm,
Grounded,
And at peace.
