Welcome to this meditation for deep rest and surrender.
In today's society,
True rest is often overlooked.
We forget about rest because we are either too excited or too fearful,
But sometimes you just need to slow down.
Slow down to give your body,
Your mind,
Your soul the rest that it's been craving for so long.
Slow down in order for your system to recover,
To reset,
To recalibrate,
And to balance itself out.
Sometimes,
You just need to get out of your own way,
So that infinite intelligence can do its work.
And that is exactly what I intend for this meditation.
Absolutely nothing is asked from you,
Just a willingness to let go and allow,
To stop interfering.
So,
Before we begin,
Take a moment to find yourself a truly comfortable position,
Either sitting or laying down,
A position in which you can truly relax.
Take a moment to make yourself truly comfortable.
Now,
Take one slow and deep breath in through your nose,
And as you exhale,
Let all of the air flow out of your body,
Complete relaxation of the physical body.
And just allow your breath to flow in and flow out naturally,
Without you having to do anything.
Like your heart beats,
And like the flowers bloom,
Allow for your breath to flow,
And feel how the breath deepens when you stop interfering with it.
Feel it,
Gently,
Flowing in and flowing out,
Feel your body relaxing,
Beginning at your feet.
Feel your feet,
Completely relaxed,
Every muscle,
Slowly going up,
Your legs,
Completely relaxed,
Sinking into the surface,
Going up to your belly and your lower back,
And just allow any tension in this area to be released,
Going up to your chest and upper back,
Dropping the shoulders,
Softening the chest,
The shoulders,
Down through your arms,
All the way to the fingers,
Relaxation,
Up to the neck,
Softening the neck,
Relaxing the neck,
The back of your head,
Your face,
Relaxing each and every muscle in your face,
Your jaw,
Your cheeks,
Your mouth,
Your nose,
Your eyes and eyelids,
And your forehead,
Allow for your whole body to become heavy,
To sink deeper into your bed or into your seat,
Your body has been longing for this,
Allow it,
Allow it to be calm,
Constantly active,
Doing overwork,
Allow it to just be,
Be as it is,
But for a moment,
Stop indulging,
Stop clinging to any thoughts,
Just allow them to play out,
As if watching them from a distance,
Just allow your mind to do what it wants to do,
Don't judge any thoughts,
Rest as the awareness in the background,
Observing the movements of the mind,
But completely free from it,
Thoughts come and go,
Remain as the awareness in which they all appear,
The less you indulge,
The more the mind settles down,
From this empty space,
This calm state,
Notice if there are any specific sensations in the body,
Or any specific energies in your field,
Some tension or irritations,
If there are,
Then just lovingly rest your attention on them,
Allow them to be there,
To play out,
Just gently,
With your loving awareness,
Stay with them,
Without trying anything,
Without trying to change them,
Just allow infinite intelligence to do its work,
Now,
It is time to surrender even deeper,
To rest even more,
Imagine yourself in an ocean of calm,
Completely surrounded by this calm ocean,
Beautiful,
Infinite,
Soft,
Warm,
Just gently holding you in its arms,
In its embrace,
Floating freely through these calm and loving vibrations,
And see how your mind,
Your spirit,
And your body,
They are slowly dissolving,
Dissolving into this ocean,
You are becoming one with it,
Dissolving more and more,
Until,
There is nothing left of what you call you,
All you are,
Is an infinite ocean of calm,
Rest as infinite peace,
Ease,
Freedom itself,
Just allow,
Just allow.
You are not in any specific location,
You are infinite,
Resting everywhere,
All at once,
Infinitely relaxed,
Infinitely at peace,
Deeper and deeper you go.
