As a transformation and nervous system coach, one of the top questions I get is how to tell the difference between anxiety and intuition. This meditation will guide you through that process. First, we will ground and then we will learn how to sit with and recognize anxiety in our bodies. Then we will learn how to listen to, sit with and recognize how intuition feels in the body. This is a subtle yet beneficial practice that can be helpful when you are having a hard time deciphering between the 2.

If you're driving right now,

You can do this with your eyes opened,

Or if you are in a place where you can sit quietly,

Find a quiet space,

And I invite you to close your eyes and take three deep grounding breaths.

Inhaling through your nose,

Exhaling through your mouth.

And with each exhale,

Feeling yourself sink deeper into your body and grounding deeper into the earth underneath you.

And your third exhale,

Visualizing roots grounding you.

And coming to a easy breath in and out through your nose.

Just taking a moment to experience where your body is in this moment.

Any thoughts that come in,

Let them leave on an exhale.

And when you're ready,

Repeat the affirmation,

I am safe,

Three times.

And follow that with,

I am in control of my body,

Three times.

Now I'm going to invite you to connect with the sensation of anxiety in your being,

In your body.

Notice what happens in yourself when I say connect with anxiety.

For me,

Anxiety sets from my chest down to my belly,

But it can be anywhere from your fingertips to your toes and even in your head,

There's no right or wrong answer.

And reminding yourself of,

I am safe and I am in control of my body.

I invite you to sit with that anxiety and notice how it feels to just sit and not need to make any changes with it and notice how that physical sensation sets in your body.

And we're just going to stay here for a few breaths.

And on your next exhale,

Shake out your arms,

Shake out your legs and release that sensation.

Let it go.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Exhale through your mouth.

And now I invite you to come back to that easy breath in and out through your nose and that grounded sensation in your body and connect with what your intuition feels like,

What your truth feels like.

And if this is hard for you,

Think back or visualize back to a time in your life where you had an experience of your intuition,

Even for just a millisecond and sit with that.

For me,

It's around my solar plexus and my heart.

And notice how you feel when you just bring the awareness of allowing yourself to feel into your truth and your intuition without needing to make any changes or question it.

Just taking a few moments here and breathe into it.

There's no wrong way to do this.

So if you feel like you're doing it wrong,

Allow that to release on a breath and just come back to your breath and feeling into your body.

And on your next exhale,

Shake it out.

Release that sensation.

And just fully bringing your awareness,

Your attention,

Your energy into this present moment and sending gratitude to yourself for being able to sit with all parts of you.

And when you are ready,

Bringing your eyes open to a soft focus.
