Welcome to this guided meditation.

I'm Dr.

Briana.

Today we will focus on connecting with memories of someone special who has passed away.

Our journey will be one of remembrance,

Gratitude,

And love.

To begin,

Find a quiet and comfortable place where you can sit or lie down without any interruption.

Ensure your body is in a relaxed position and gently close your eyes.

Now take a few deep breaths in.

Inhale slowly through your nose,

Then exhale through your mouth,

Releasing any immediate tension you may feel.

With each breath,

Feel yourself becoming more grounded in the present moment.

Notice the support beneath you,

Perhaps the softness of a chair or the firmness of the floor.

With every exhale,

Imagine letting go of the stress and with each inhale,

Invite calmness into your being.

Let's take three more deep breaths together.

Inhale deeply,

Filling your lungs with air.

Hold it for just a moment and then exhale slowly,

Feeling a wave of relaxation wash over you.

Repeat this twice more at your own pace,

Allowing your mind to become still and centered.

Now in this space of tranquility,

Envision the face of your loved one.

Recall their smile,

The sound of their laughter,

The warmth of their embrace.

As you do this,

Acknowledge the mix of emotions that may arise.

Sadness,

Longing,

Anger,

Joy,

And love.

Take another deep breath in and as you exhale,

Imagine sending love and peace to your loved one's memory.

With each breath,

Feel the connection between you and them grow stronger.

As you hold these memories dear,

Shift your focus towards gratitude.

Be thankful for the moments shared,

The lessons learned,

And the growth experienced.

Reflect on how these memories have shaped who you are today.

Inhale deeply,

Bringing to mind a sense of thankfulness for having known such a special person.

Exhale any feelings of loss,

Replacing them with appreciation for the time spent together.

Visualize a specific positive memory with your loved one.

Maybe it's a conversation,

An activity you enjoyed together,

Or simply a feeling of being cared for.

Once you visualize your memory,

Hold it.

Allow yourself to fully experience this memory.

What do you see?

What do you hear?

How do you feel?

Let this memory fill you with warmth as if it's a gentle light glowing within your heart.

Breathe in deeply,

Absorbing the joy and love from this memory.

Hold your breath for a moment,

Savoring it,

And then exhale slowly,

Letting the happiness spread throughout your entire body.

Even when it's hard,

Grief is a pure testament to the depth of love you shared.

It's okay to feel pain,

For it mirrors the strength of your bond.

Breathe into that realization and understand that grief and love are intertwined in a delicate dance that honors your connection.

Inhale compassion for yourself and your feelings.

Pause to acknowledge your grief.

Exhale slowly,

Releasing the sorrow and embracing the love that remains ever present.

Acknowledge that your loved one lives on through you,

In the stories that you tell,

The values you carry,

And the love you share with others.

Commit to carrying their legacy forward in meaningful ways,

Big or small.

With each breath in,

Imagine drawing strength and inspiration from their life.

With each breath out,

Envision yourself living out their legacy with honor and love.

Now,

As this meditation draws to a close,

Take a few more deep breaths at your own pace.

When you are ready,

Gently bring awareness back to the room.

Start by wiggling your fingers,

Your toes.

Stretch if you need to,

And when you are ready,

Open your eyes.

I hope that you carry this sense of peace and gratitude with you,

Knowing that your loved one's memories are a treasure that continues to enrich your life,

Even in their physical absence.
