This is a guided meditation aimed at helping individuals when they are unwell. You will put your worries aside and focus on yourself during this time. You will be guided through a healing environment to experience relaxation. Then, focus on any areas of discomfort or pain in your body to help you use your mind to release this discomfort. The meditation emphasizes the body's ability to heal and encourages gratitude for the body. Hi friend,

First I want to say that I'm sorry you are feeling under the weather.

After this guided meditation,

I hope you have a little more energy and that it won't be long until you feel yourself again.

If you feel comfortable,

Turn off the lights in the room or have it dimly lit so you can fully rest.

At this time,

Put all your worries and to-do lists away and concentrate on yourself.

If you want,

Grab a blanket to get comfortable before we begin.

You can sit up straight or lie down.

Take this time to relax wherever you are most comfortable,

Uninterrupted.

This might be your bedroom,

Couch,

Or even outside if you need to get some fresh air.

It does not have to be your normal meditation spot.

Now if you have not already,

Close your eyes or take a soft gaze.

Take a deep inhale through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.

Let's do this a few more times,

Allowing your breathing to calm and center your mind.

Take a deep inhale and then exhale slowly.

One more deep inhale and a slow exhale.

Now slowly come to your normal breathing.

As you continue to breathe,

Visualize yourself in a place of healing.

Picture yourself surrounded by nature,

A friendly,

Welcoming environment.

You are holding a warm cup of tea or soup,

Feeling a gentle breeze on your skin and hearing the soothing sounds of birds chirping.

Picture yourself in deep relaxation,

Knowing you have nowhere to go and no deadlines to meet.

You only have to sit and enjoy your warm cup and the nice breeze and nature with the warm sunshine.

You smile as you see the birds flying by and the beautiful blue sky with the perfect white clouds.

You feel as if you are in a picture.

You inhale slowly through your mouth,

Enjoying this moment and then exhale out.

You do this a few more times,

Not wanting this moment to ever end.

Inhaling slowly,

Then exhaling slowly.

You repeat this a few more times,

Enjoying the scenery around you.

Let's bring your attention to the different sensations in your body.

Slowly acknowledge any body parts feeling discomfort or pain,

Letting your body know you are here to care for it.

Imagine the gentle breeze flowing over your body,

Carrying healing energy with it.

Let's scan to help identify any pain.

As you do this,

Imagine the healing energy carrying it through in the breeze to release it from your body.

The energy helps to heal the body,

Carrying away anything no longer needed.

Let's start with your feet.

Move to your ankles.

Up to your calves.

Then your thighs.

Continue to your buttocks.

Upwards to your abs.

And now center on your lower back.

Then move to your upper back.

And concentrate on your chest.

And back down to your fingers.

Up towards your wrists.

And your arms.

Move to your shoulders.

Keep moving towards your neck.

Any part of your face that may have tension.

Move to the back of the head.

And finally the crown.

Do one more scan of your full body and let everything go in the breeze.

Start with your feet and up to the crown of the head,

Watching any pain fly away with the breeze.

As you continue to breathe,

Bring yourself back to the warm image of steam rising from your cup as you sit with it comfortably.

Allow this moment to remind you that healing is possible and your body knows how to heal itself.

However,

Sometimes we need to give our body time and gratitude.

Take a moment to express gratitude for your body and its amazing ability to heal that you will give it the time it needs.

You can thank your body out loud or silently as your body knows the appreciation you have for it.

Trust that your body is doing its best to restore balance and well-being.

Slowly open your eyes and become aware of your surroundings when you are ready.

Remember my friend,

Finding moments of peace and stillness within can be incredibly beneficial,

Especially when you are feeling sick,

So take these meditation practices with you and be gentle with yourself during the healing process.

I wish you wellness and good health.

I hope you join me again soon.

Thank you for helping me remember that my body is not opposed to me, and it needs my care to be well again.
