This is Day 11 for a series of talks called “Happy Hormones: A 30-Day Gut Reset For Women”. If you have yet to start from Day 1, I suggest you do so to optimize your success and knowledge. A 30-day journey to improve brain clarity, gain more energy, prevent disease, and balance a healthy weight for women by balancing their hormones. Today, we discuss our hormones coming together during this cycle and why it’s so important for our hormones to be balanced to detox toxins in our bodies properly. Welcome back!

My name is Samantha Linden,

Also known as the Blissful Soul.

This is our series,

Happy Hormones,

A 30-day gut reset for women.

If you haven't started from day one yet,

I highly recommend doing so to maximize your success and understanding.

If you have been extending your fast up to 15 hours,

Dial it back to 13 hours today.

It is vital to reduce our time again during days 11 to 15.

As we discussed,

Changing our fasting with our hormones is essential.

During the changes in our hormones,

They can release toxins.

Especially if you have been eating foods filled with toxins over the years,

Feel free to revisit day 4 of the prep week if you need a reminder.

Even when eating various natural foods,

Remember that they could be thoroughly contaminated with pesticides.

Some non-organic produce is loaded with fungicides that may harm our hormone systems,

And frequently detected chemicals are fungicides fludioxanil,

Pyroclostrabin,

Foscalid,

And pyrimethanil.

However,

Even with a healthy diet,

We have toxins.

Fasting is essential for your health because environmental toxins can build up in our bodies over time,

Leading to health issues.

With the increase in chemicals and products in our surroundings,

Chronic exposure to toxins can impact our health and potentially lead to diseases like cancer and diabetes.

Symptoms of toxic overload can include digestive issues,

Mood disorders,

Fatigue,

And more.

By now,

You should be comfortable with 13-hour fasts.

If you are finding you are always hungry,

This could be a sign you have a lot of toxins in your life.

It could be a sign of either needing to continue to clean up the foods you are eating,

Or if you feel you have already done this,

Then it's time to explore elsewhere for toxins you are being exposed to that might not be as obvious,

Such as cleaning or beauty products.

It could be your makeup.

Many scented items add to this,

And some of us have more tolerance for these than others.

However,

It also means keeping at your shorter fasts and not trying to keep pushing longer as your body needs to heal.

As we are not working one-on-one,

I want to repeat this.

Shorter fasts if this has been difficult.

We want the movement to feel effortless before we extend it.

When toxins enter the body,

They are stored in fat tissue in the liver,

Which can eventually contribute to disease if not released.

Supporting your body's natural detox pathways is essential to eliminating toxins and maintaining optimal health.

During longer fasts,

We can experience reactions to this,

Especially if we are new to fasting.

While detoxing these toxins is good,

It can be incredibly uncomfortable during the next five days when your hormones are coming together and finding a balance.

This is the period you can increase your natural carbs.

During this phase,

You can eat higher-carb natural foods.

That does not mean indulging in chocolate cake and ice cream all day.

But this phase welcomes beans,

Fruit,

And sweet potatoes.

Do what feels right for you,

But I suggest bringing it up to 75 to 100 net carbs if you seek guidance.

Keep incorporating your protein and good fats too.

Again,

For tomorrow,

Break your fast at 13 hours,

Continue to monitor your blood sugar,

And increase your natural higher-carb foods.
