In this offering the intention is BALANCE. We meditate and take time for ourselves so we can remain more balanced in the other hours and aspects of our lives. When we nourish ourselves with deep rest our whole nervous system becomes calm, our brainwaves slow way down and we move into a space where peace and clarity are dominant. The practice is infused with very soft background music that is created in 432HZ, the frequency that promotes peace and calm in every cell of your body.

Hello loves and thank you so much for joining me for this session of yoga nidra.

I am so happy to share this deeply nourishing practice with you.

When we practice on a regular basis we begin to see the cumulative results of the practice and perhaps many of you have already started to notice that you're less reactive or less stressed.

Maybe you're sleeping better.

Today's practice is all about cultivating,

Keeping your balance when things get a little dicey or stressful in life.

So as always just choosing your most comfortable position whatever that is for you today.

You're always welcome to do this in a seated position over laying down and you're always welcome to snuggle in for your night's sleep and just simply click off the recording when it's finished and drift off.

I love making sure I'm cozy and warm and that I have something to cover my eyes and of course that my phone is silenced and any loves in the same home as me or wherever you might be know that I'm meditating.

So I'll just give you another moment here to set yourself up in such a way that really invites this ability to just let go,

Relax,

And allow yourself to let go and just be.

Sometimes this practice is called the art of non-doing,

The art of just being.

So I wish that for you.

Let's just start out with feeling the body,

Feeling the weight of the head,

Feeling the weight of the whole back especially your upper back,

Feeling the weight of your arms and hands,

The buttocks and hip,

The legs and feet,

Your whole body surrendering to stillness,

To this allowance of relaxation and within this still body feeling the rise and fall of your breath,

Rise and fall of your inhale and exhale,

Breathing,

Coming to really sense the breath at the nostrils,

Feeling the cool air that comes in and the warm moist air that releases,

And just really focusing on your breath at the nostrils for a few more breaths.

Now shaping the breath into the physiological side to further draw us into this parasympathetic state of rest and this breath is two sips of air in through the nose like this and a nice long exhale through pursed lips like this.

So just working on making that exhale nice and long but without too much effort and let's try three rounds together.

Ready?

Shh,

Shh,

Shh,

Shh,

Being aware now just how your whole body feels,

Allow your awareness to softly drop into the heart space,

Feeling a connection with yourself in the area of the heart,

Opening the door to the awareness of what you truly want.

Some of you may be already working with a sankalpa from week to week and you might call that in now but if you don't have a sankalpa or you'd like to use the one I'm offering today,

Please repeat this three times in your mind.

I am practicing deep breaths to keep my balance in life.

This intention or sankalpa being an integral part of the practice,

Speaking directly to the subconscious where it can really have the opportunity to manifest on all levels of our beings.

Next on this journey of deep rest is taking our physical bodies bodies into an even deeper place of softening.

So follow my voice and place your awareness on each area that I mention,

Guiding your awareness now to the tip of your right thumb,

Sensing your whole right thumb,

And now the index finger,

The middle finger,

Ring finger,

And pinky finger,

Sensing all five fingers,

And the palm of the hand,

The top of the hand,

Top of the hand,

The wrist,

Forearm,

Elbow,

Upper arm,

And shoulder.

Now a sense of your whole right arm and hand as one,

The whole right hand and arm as one,

An awareness of the right collarbone,

The right side of the chest,

The right side of the abdomen and waist,

The right hip,

Thigh,

Knee,

Lower leg,

Ankle,

And the top of the foot into an awareness of all five toes,

The big toe,

Second toe,

Third,

Fourth,

Fifth,

And the sole of the right foot,

The sole of the right foot.

And now become aware of the whole right leg and foot at the same time,

The whole right leg and foot,

And now the whole right side of your body,

Sensing and feeling the whole right side of the body,

Moving your awareness to the tip of the left thumb,

The index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Pinky finger,

All five fingers,

The palm of the hand,

The top of the hand,

The whole left hand,

And now the wrist,

Forearm,

Elbow,

Upper arm,

And shoulder.

And now could you sense the whole left hand and left arm at the same time,

The whole left arm and hand,

The left collarbone,

Left side of the chest,

Left waist and abdomen,

Abdomen,

Left hip,

Left thigh,

Knee,

Lower leg,

Ankle,

And the top of the foot,

All five toes,

The big toe,

Second toe,

Third,

Fourth,

And fifth,

The sole of the left foot,

The sole of the left foot,

And the whole left foot,

And the whole left leg,

Left foot and left leg,

And now an awareness of the whole left half of your body,

The whole left half of your body,

To the base of the neck,

The inside of the throat,

And the base of the tongue,

And the tip of the tongue,

The whole tongue,

And the whole inside of your mouth,

Your lips,

Jaw,

And the bridge of your nose,

And right cheekbone,

And left cheekbone,

Your right earlobe,

Left earlobe,

Right eye,

Left eye,

Both eyes together,

The point between the eyebrows,

The whole forehead,

And the whole scalp,

The whole head,

The point between the shoulder blades,

Awareness traveling down the whole spine to the tip of the tailbone,

And the pelvis,

Pelvis,

Navel,

Solar plexus,

Heart center,

Heart center,

Softly calling back your sankalpa here,

I am practicing deep breaths to keep my balance in life,

Allowing awareness to radiate into the whole body from the heart center,

An awareness of your whole body as one,

Sensing the aliveness of your body here,

The aliveness of your peaceful body,

Your whole body,

Become aware of the rise and fall of your breath again,

Feeling how your breath moves without effort in your whole body,

Now starting to imagine a pillar of light at the center of your chest,

Inhaling the light expands,

Exhaling the light comes back to the heart center,

Breathing and visualizing this light for the next few breaths,

Now shift your attention to the point between your eyebrows,

Can you imagine that you are breathing from the middle of the eyebrows,

Your third eye,

A light moves upward with each inhale,

And sinks back in and spreads with each exhale,

Now letting your awareness drift to the whole backside of your body,

Can you begin to imagine that each exhale releases through the whole backside of your body,

Now your awareness wraps around to sense the whole front side of your body,

Can you imagine each inhale weaving your body from the whole front side,

And then exhaling through the whole backside,

Inhaling the whole front side of your body energetically expands,

Exhaling the whole backside of your body allows your exhale to flow out,

Whole body breathing,

Every cell expanding upward with the inhale,

And releasing back down with the exhale,

Now returning to a simple awareness of your body resting,

Letting go of the focus on the breath,

And now could you place all of your attention into your right leg,

Your right leg,

Now can you send all of your attention into the left palm,

Feel your left palm,

And stay with the felt sense of your left palm,

And add in the awareness of your right leg,

Sense your left palm and right leg at the same time,

Now shift your attention to the left leg,

Feel your left leg,

And switching your focus now to the palm of the right hand,

Exploring the subtle feelings in your right palm,

And now sending all of your awareness into both the left leg and the right palm equally,

And allow the this focus to dissolve now,

And sense both legs simultaneously,

Both legs,

And now both palms,

Sensing the subtle sensations in your palms,

Now combining the two,

Both palms,

Both legs at the same time,

And just allowing this to happen,

No need for any effort,

Allowing the experience to just be as it is,

Both palms,

Both legs,

Both palms,

Both legs,

And letting that go,

Now we'll focus awareness on the forehead,

As if you're able to see what your eyes see on the inside of your forehead,

Or perhaps like a screen on the outside of your forehead,

I'm going to name images,

And you can just imagine you can see these images,

Imagine ocean waves lapping at the shore,

A cascading waterfall,

A double rainbow,

A soaring bird,

A bird soaring through the sky,

A child laughing,

Bees humming around flowers,

A shooting star,

A golden sunset,

Palm leaves waving in the wind,

A steady burning fire,

Foggy mountain peaks,

A city skyline at night,

In the planet earth,

Footprints in the wet sand,

A dog wagging its tail,

Morning dew drops in the grass,

Now bring your awareness back to your heart center,

Imagine a pinpoint of bright light here,

Brilliant light at the heart,

Your entire chest radiating this light,

And at the middle of your heart,

A tiny dot appears,

Imagine you can go into the tiny dot of light,

Like a microscope,

Tinier and tinier,

You're becoming smaller and smaller,

Going into the tiniest pinpoint of light,

To the very cellular structure,

To the center of the center of the center,

Now imagine that you're beginning to expand,

And beginning to get bigger,

And bigger,

You feel that you are the light,

And your heart expanding,

And opening bigger,

And bigger,

And brighter,

And brighter,

Standing beyond your body,

And into the atmosphere around your body,

Getting huge,

Gigantic,

Like a telescope opening and opening,

Bigger than the earth,

Bigger than all the stars,

Space,

Immense spaciousness,

A sense of floating in space,

You are one with the vastness of the entire universe,

Total peace,

Complete harmony here,

You are absorbed into oneness,

Resting as your true nature,

Pure radiance,

Bask here now,

Until you hear my voice again,

And in this sweetness of infinite space,

Can you call back your intention,

I am practicing deep rest to keep my balance in life,

Feeling your intention with your whole body,

Repeating it three more times,

I am practicing deep rest to keep my balance in life,

Now allowing your awareness to come back to your breath,

Feeling your inhale,

And your exhale,

Sensing how the lungs fill and empty,

Sensing and feeling the movement in the rib cage,

In the chest,

In the belly,

And might you welcome some deeper breaths now,

As we slowly move from the state of yoga nidra,

A sense of a whole body breathing,

A whole body breathing,

Noticing the sensation in the whole body,

And starting to invite movement into this body,

Intuitively allowing this movement to come,

This awareness of your body,

And expanding this awareness out into the space around you,

And noticing any sounds,

The temperature,

And perhaps rolling to your side,

Resting in the knowing of this deeply nourishing practice,

That can cultivate more stability in your life,

More balance,

Honoring yourself for taking this time,

Moving forward with your evening or day,

In your own time,

At your own pace,

I'm so appreciative of your practice and practicing with me,

Please know I'm wishing you all the best,

Namaste.
