This practice offers an alternative way to allow ourselves to feel cared for.

We will work with a technique called visualization,

And this is in the receiving of love and care from,

It could be a family member,

A friend,

A colleague,

A loved one,

Whoever we deem to be appropriate.

This will help us to cultivate the capacity to accept love and to recognize your innate worthiness.

So to begin this practice,

If you find yourself in a comfortable posture,

The back upright and the shoulders relaxed,

And just allow the eyes to close as you start by taking a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

So now let's just make a special effort to bring kindness to the practice today.

So just further relaxing the body and just letting the mind be at ease.

Let's bring to mind a person who cares for you.

It may be a family member,

A friend,

Or a mentor of some kind.

Just picture this person standing in front of you,

Offering you phrases of kindness.

Your job here is to simply receive their wishes of kindness.

They're here giving you compliments,

Wishing you well,

Just generally supporting everything that you are doing and everything that you are striving for.

So if we just pause on this for a moment and just in this visualization,

Just picture them offering these thoughts of kindness to you.

We'll just pause on this for a minute or so.

And now we're going to add another person into this mix.

So once again,

We're going to take a deep breath and imagine somebody who cares about you.

Again,

It may be a family member,

A good friend,

Or a mentor of some kind.

And once again,

Just accept the wishes of wellbeing from both of these two individuals,

Just allowing their care,

Their love,

Their good wishes to land deeply in your consciousness.

So let's just reflect on this for a minute or two,

Just receive these well-wishers and just notice the feelings around them.

And now as we extend this,

Continue to bring other people in slowly until you have a group of people who are stood in front of you.

It could be a variety,

A mixture of all of the people we've mentioned.

Family members,

Friends,

Mentors,

Colleagues,

Coaches,

Just all offering you words and feelings of kindness.

And once again,

Your role is to just try to accept these wishes with an open mind and an open heart.

So let's just practice this for a further minute and just remember to keep inviting people in to give you the compliments,

The well-wishers,

The feedback.

So now as we begin to come to the end of your practice,

Just for a few seconds,

Just bring your own gentleness and care into your experience.

Just be kind to yourself.

Just recognize that throughout this practice,

Your mind may have wandered at times and that is perfectly okay.

Just give yourself the right care,

The attention and recognize that in just taking this few minutes out of your day,

You have achieved something significant.

So now if you just open your eyes slowly and just make your way back into daily life with patience and kindness.
