Welcome.

If you've been caught in the cycle of self-criticism or negative thoughts,

This is a moment to pause and offer yourself the kindness you deserve.

Begin by finding a comfortable seat or lying down.

Gently close your eyes,

And take a deep breath in through your nose,

Letting your belly expand.

Hold the breath for a moment,

And then exhale slowly through your mouth,

Releasing any tension.

Allow your breath to settle into a natural rhythm.

With each inhale,

Feel your body filling with warmth.

With each exhale,

Let go of the weight that harsh words might be placing on your heart.

Now bring to mind a recent moment when you were hard on yourself.

Perhaps you told yourself you weren't good enough,

Or criticized yourself for making a mistake.

Gently and without judgment,

Bring that moment into your awareness.

As you think of this moment,

Notice how it feels in your body.

Do you feel tightness in your chest,

Or heaviness in your stomach?

Simply observe it.

There's no need to change anything.

Just be present with the sensation.

Now imagine that instead of speaking harshly to yourself,

You were speaking to a dear friend.

What would you say to them if they were feeling the way you're feeling?

How would you offer them comfort,

Understanding,

And compassion?

Gently offer those same words of kindness to yourself.

Whisper them silently in your mind.

It's okay to make mistakes.

I am worthy of love and kindness,

Just as I am.

Let these words wash over you,

Soothing any tension or hurt that negative self-talk has caused.

Imagine these words filling you with warmth and understanding,

Allowing the harshness to dissolve.

Now,

Let go of the need to be perfect,

Enough exactly as you are.

Breathe.

Repeat this to yourself.

Let these words sink into your heart,

Softening the critical voice inside.

Take one more deep breath in,

Filling yourself with self-compassion.

As you exhale,

Release any lingering self-judgment.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes and return to your day with a kinder,

Gentler voice guiding you forward.
