Samhain Workshop: Honouring Your Shadows Join me for a special workshop in celebration of Samhain, Celtic New Year, a time of death and rebirth where you will honour and explore the shadows within yourself. This sacred session includes an embodiment meditation designed to help you connect deeply with your mind, body, and spirit, followed by an oracle card reading with the seasons of the witch Samhain oracle to reveal insights and guidance. You’ll receive journalling prompts to help process your reflections, and I share my practice of working with the four elements in my unique way to shine a light on the shadows, bringing awareness and transformation to those hidden parts of yourself. This workshop offers a beautiful opportunity to embrace the wisdom of your shadows and align with the energies of Samhain, a time for inner reflection and soul discovery. Music by Alex-Productions

Hello and welcome to your workshop Honouring Your Shadows.
During this workshop you will have the opportunity to explore a meditation and also to have some time for you to journal.
So bring along your journal,
Pen,
Do your best to make sure that you're not going to be disturbed during this time,
Making sure that you're safe and comfortable,
You've got a nice drink,
You're nice and cosy.
And if you can,
To do your best that you haven't got a rush off straight after this process so that you've got time to integrate this session and plenty of time for journaling and to explore anything that comes up during this workshop.

What shadow aspects of yourself or your journey are coming to light now and how can you work with them to bring deeper healing and integration?
Recognising these things,
Recognising these shadowy aspects,
Areas of our closet that we would like to clean,
Which again in this season of Samhain,
In the season of endings and new beginnings is the perfect time to have a little clean out of our closet.
And when I use the term closet,
I mean that very symbolically.
But how do we bring deeper healing and transformation?
What sort of things can you do to enable you to keep shining that light,
To keep transforming and also to integrate as well?
Now it's time to meditate.
Get yourself nice and comfy.
Allowing your body to relax.
That may mean rolling your shoulders,
Circling your wrists,
Circling your ankles,
Freeing up your jaw.
Just allow yourself to relax,
To start to unwind.
Bringing yourself to this moment right now.
Being aware of your body,
Of your breath.
And just allowing your breath to flow.
No need to change it or try and force it.
Just allow your breath to flow,
Flow in and flow out.
Just observing your breath.
Observing your body,
Witnessing your body.
How is it feeling?
Honoring your shadows.
Honoring your shadows.
Is there anywhere in your body that you may feel these words?
It may be in your mind.
It may be a certain area of your body that lights up with these words.
Honoring your shadows.
And just witnessing how your body feels with these words.
Is there anything that comes to your mind?
This could be something that you're aware of and you're already working with,
Such as limiting beliefs or feelings in your body that you're wanting to release.
Just allowing whatever will be,
Will be.
Just holding that space for yourself.
Honoring your shadows.
What shadow aspects of yourself or your journey are coming to light?
You can visualize the brightest light in the sky.
Beaming onto this darkness within you,
These shadows within you.
Shining this light.
Allowing that energy to transform,
Transmute.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
On your next breath in,
Visualize sending your breath to these shadows,
Whether you're aware of them or not.
Just imagine breathing in,
Sending your breath to these areas that need the light.
Knowing that you're safe in this space here.
Being the observer.
And as you breathe out,
Visualize any stagnant energy,
Any energy that's no longer serving you,
Just to release as you breathe out.
Visualize that letting go.
Allowing more space within you.
Breathing in the beautiful light,
The universal light.
As you breathe out,
Just letting go.
Letting go of stagnant energy.
You may want to allow a sound to leave your lungs as well.
Visualizing yourself surrounded by a beautiful sphere of light.
Knowing that you're protected,
You're safe.
Feeling the roots coming out the soles of your feet deep,
Deep down into the earth.
Knowing that you're grounded,
You're held,
You're safe,
You're centered.
And in your own time,
When you feel ready,
Bringing yourself back to this moment now.
When you feel ready,
With your journal,
With your pen,
Your paper,
Your journal,
Just allow some words to flow through you.
No need to question it too much.
Just allow those words to flow.
Let's have a look at a few little remedies for you.
Things that you can do to continue to work with this energy.
To shine the light,
To bring deeper healing.
Something that's really powerful is a sacred bathing ritual.
For me,
That means putting some salts in the bath,
Some essential oils.
Sometimes as well,
I use rose petals and things like that.
And I'll place some crystals around the edge of the bath.
Some crystals you can put in water,
But I'm not 100% sure of what ones.
So I'm not going to recommend that.
The same with essential oils.
I don't know,
Obviously,
The different contraindications for you.
So I'm not going to recommend any particular oils either.
If you do use essential oils,
Make sure that you use a carrier in that as well.
I know with salts,
You can just put a couple of drops onto your bath salts.
And that you don't need a carrier oil when you use it like that.
And also burning a candle whilst you're having a sacred bath ritual.
And while you're gazing at the candle,
You can visualize that light being shone onto whatever you need.
And just allowing yourself to really relax in that bath.
Taking that as a really beautiful,
Sacred time for yourself.
And visualize the water absorbing anything that it needs to absorb.
Anything that you need to let go of.
And sometimes as well,
After I've had a sacred bath,
I will have a cold shower after as well.
Just to really kind of reset my energy.
But that might not be your thing.
And the other thing that you can do that's really powerful as well is cord cutting and clearing.
And bringing in whatever those things are that's come up for you.
Visualize cutting the cords to them and letting it go.
Allowing it to transmute back to the light,
Back to the universe.
Depending on what's coming up for you on this particular subject,
You may need to repeat these processes.
And you may actually need a therapist as well to help you.
Depending on what's coming up for you.
What it is you need to shine the light on.
We can't always do all of this on our own.
Sometimes we want to.
Especially if that is part of your shadow.
Is not wanting to get support from others.
You may just want to do it all on your own.
But sometimes you need a therapist.
Somebody that can help you.
And there is so many amazing teachers here on Insight Timer.
So depending on,
Obviously everybody's got different credentials and experience and everything.
Finding the right person that can work with you in whatever it is that's coming up for you as well.
Cards are also a beautiful tool.
Be that the tarot or an oracle deck.
That's another beautiful tool for you to work with.
These elements as well of honoring your shadows.
Because you could say to the deck.
What shadows?
What can you show me about my shadows?
What needs to come into my awareness?
What do I need to bring into the light?
So on that I am going to pull us a card from my Seasons of the Witch Samhain Oracle.
And again this can add some more depth to the journaling if you want.
And this is a really good time for you to pull a card for yourself.
For those of you that have bought a deck with you today.
It's a really good time to shuffle your deck.
And ask whatever comes to you.
If you're not sure what to ask.
You can ask.
What is it I need to know right now with regards to my shadows?
What light can you shine on for me please spirit?
So I'm going to ask for a card here for us all collectively today.
What is it that we can shine?
Please spirit.
Collective card for everybody today.
What light can we shine on our shadows?
Okay I'm going to go for a card that's poking here out from the middle.
What card have we got?
So we've got elements.
Remember to feel the warmth pulsing through her womb.
You are a child of mother.
True harmony awaits you.
Wow.
So this is the four elements of earth,
Air,
Fire and water.
And here when they're referring to mother.
We're referring to mother earth.
Mother Gaya.
Pasha Mama.
Whatever words you like to use.
And here are the elements as well.
Now what's coming to me for this is you also have the four elements in tarot.
Which is earth,
Air,
Fire and water.
And each of those elements represent something different.
So fire is around our passion,
Our spiritual journey.
Our growth,
Spiritual growth and things like that.
You've got air which is your thoughts,
Your mind.
I also bring in boundaries with that one as well.
And then you've got earth which I say is our root chakra.
It's everything that's around our safety,
Security,
Our material world.
And then you've also got water which is your emotions and your feelings.
And your intuition as well.
How you like feel into the world.
So this is something again working with all four of those.
Because more often than not we get accustomed to working with a certain.

.
Whether it's your thinking,
Whether it's your feeling.
You may be somebody that always thinks your.
.
.
Tries to think your way out of things.
Or tries to feel your way out of things.
And it could mean that you can bring in some of the other elements.
That's where tarot is really good as well.
You can work with a question and bring in the four elements.
So you can bring the different aspects of that here.
So with the earth element being pentacles in tarot.
The pentacles they were the farmers.
Think of them as the farmers of the world.
People that work with the land,
Live with the land.
When you're living with the land and working with the land.
You're very connected to mother earth as well.
Because you would respect her more and honour her more.
The more disconnected we are from the land and the earth.
The less connection you have and generally what goes alongside that.
Is more disrespect.
But when we're looking at this with ourselves.
It's also our safety and our security as well.
Because it's how you feel safe in the world.
Your material possessions,
Your home,
Your job.
Things like that.
Think as well of the element of earth as queens as well in tarot.
I absolutely love the elements.
And this also ties in with on insight time here.
I've got a three day course.
That is called Sacred Space Retreat.
And during those three days you do get to work with the elements.
Say for instance you're somebody that always thinks.
So that would be air.
You always think about a situation.
You're always trying to think yourself out of it.
So you would bring in one of the other elements to help to remedy that.
So it could mean that you need to bring in the element of water and the emotion.
So rather than sitting there and trying to think yourself out of the situation.
You will come to your feelings.
Okay so this is what I think about it.
How do I feel about it?
And then you could bring in say the element of fire.
Which is action.
Which is our passions and our journey and doing something about it.
So bring in fire and say to yourself.
What actions can I take to change this?
So say you're ruminating over something and keep thinking,
Thinking,
Thinking.
How do I feel about this?
How can I delve into my feelings with this?
And then what action can I take to change this as well?
Because more often than not when we're stuck in something we need to take an action.
Sometimes it could be that the action is actually inaction as well.
Which would maybe be the hanged man when we're looking at tarot.
And then you've got the element of earth.
Which is safety,
Security.
Now and also looking at your reality.
What's really there?
What's showing itself in a 3D level?
So you've got what's actually there right in front of you.
Let's give you an example.
So I'm going to use my selenite wand as an example for this.
Looking at it from the aspect of earth from 3D.
What's actually here underneath my feet as it were.
I know this is a piece of selenite.
And if I was to ask 10 people that know crystals.
They would say to me that's a piece of selenite.
So this is your piece of selenite.
We know that's that.
Say for instance that was you looking at your relationship has just broken down.
You've just separated from somebody.
That's real.
It's happened.
So we're looking at something we can translate into something that's real.
We know it's real.
Although on a quantum level we could argue that this is a piece of selenite.
We're not getting into all of that realm.
We're just looking at things realistically in front of us right now.
So earth I know this is selenite.
Water.
Water which translates to emotions.
How do I feel about this selenite?
When I hold this selenite it gives me tingles in my body.
So I feel good with this selenite.
I have a feeling I associate to it.
How do I think about this selenite?
Thinking being air.
Being the mind.
Being our thoughts.
How I think about it I start bringing in my thoughts.
What I've learned about selenite through reading and talking to other people is that selenite is very good at cleansing and charging other crystals.
So what I think about selenite is I can put it with my other crystals to charge them.
And I think that this is powerful.
That's what I think about it.
And then the other element fire which can translate to action.
So what can I actually do with this selenite to put it into practice?
To put all those things into practice.
So I can use this physically on my body.
That's an action I can take to cleanse my aura.
I can sit and hold it as my wand.
As my tool to help me to channel spirit.
So there's various different ways I can use this and put it into action with the fire element.
Some of the four elements there of nature that then we can translate into tools that we can use to help us whenever we're dealing with any situation.
It's just knowing that you're looking at all the different areas.
Because I feel this is such an amazing tool for people to use.
I do talk about that in my three day course as well.
Go into it in a much deeper way.
