Sade Sati is an astrological phenomenon that lasts roughly 7.5 years, where Saturn passes over a person's natal Moon in Vedic Astrology. It's a slightly challenging period, where a person might have to experience delays, losses or deep spiritual transformations. This meditation is designed to provide a series of positive affirmations that will help you not only get through this time, but make the most of it.

The poet Rumi once said something that could be said by Saturn himself,

And that is,

If you are irritated by every rub,

How will your mirror be polished?

And so you are now in Sadi Sati,

A time where Saturn is setting to work,

Polishing the mirror that is your soul.

As Saturn does the polishing,

You will find certain things break down,

Certain things may leave your life,

And with that comes a fear.

A fear that you won't be the same,

That you'll never have the same thing again,

That what is lost is gone forever.

But again,

We must quote Rumi,

Who said,

Don't grieve,

Anything you lose comes round in another form.

I can tell you from experience that any love lost clears space,

And in that space,

Love comes again,

Better,

Brighter,

Stronger,

And more vibrant than you can currently imagine.

So there is no need to be afraid,

Just keep trusting that on the other side of the darkness is an even brighter light.

I'm going to go through some positive affirmations now that are designed to help you get through this time.

If there is any form of delay in my life,

That is Saturn's way of gifting me extra time.

With that extra time,

I can do some polishing of my own by becoming skillful and excellent at something that matters to me.

I can be on a quest to attain mastery.

Mastery comes from repetition,

It comes from reading one book a thousand times,

Rather than reading a thousand books.

I can work on my inner world,

Improving who I am,

Deep within.

I work in silence,

Knowing that life will present me with any results owing,

In its own divine timing.

I am not looking to the outside world for any form of worth or approval.

If life moves slowly,

I take time to nurture myself.

As life sets about creating more freedom within me,

I give freedom to life,

Letting it guide me,

Present me with lessons or rewards in its own divine timing.

If life puts me between a rock and a hard place,

I take it as a compliment because it must mean I am strong enough to find a way through the challenge.

Future me is stronger than I am.

Future me is calling me forward,

Asking me to leave any past attachments behind.

I could continue to circle through old memories,

Or I could step into my heart space and experience real life in the here and now.

In my heart space lies all the words that end in ing,

Like being,

Living,

Breathing,

Singing,

Dancing,

Creating,

Discovering and experiencing.

My heart space is home to all the best things,

Like love,

Music,

The gods,

Or even just a connection to the divine.

It's okay to let go,

Because I trust that life will fill the void with something that I love even more.

It's okay to still love what I've had to leave behind,

After all,

Only love is real.

I can forgive others and realize that it might have been their karma to do what they did.

But thankfully it's my karma to be forgiving,

Because I know it's actually stronger to forgive than it is to attack.

In my quest for freedom,

All is forgiven,

Which means I get to experience forward momentum and growth.

I can't know if I have forgiven,

So I ask the divine to help me forgive someone.

I know that the divine will do the work,

And I ask the divine to show me signs of when the job is done.

If I attract another echo of the same experience,

I recognize the progress I have made,

And that the echo is getting lighter and milder as I make progress on my spiritual path.

If I encounter any problem as I continue sadhisati,

I know that upping my discipline is usually the best remedy.

I know I can do what it takes to get through this time,

A new me is on the other side.
