Why to meditate?
The answer is simple.
We meditate so that we don't suffer.
And what is suffering then?
Well,
Suffering is just suffering.
There is no other description of it.
Sometimes you can be deeply suffering,
Irregardless of circumstances.
Sometimes everything might be going alright,
But you are not happy.
And at other times things might go really wrong,
But you still feel at peace,
You still feel placid,
And you still have faith and trust that everything is alright and will be alright.
So that shows us that suffering is just suffering.
And meditation has that quality that it can restore your happiness,
Which in other words,
It can restore you.
It can restore your whole integrated harmonious being.
Because whenever you are not with yourself,
Then you are divided,
Then you are lost,
And then you suffer,
Then you're not alright.
So in meditation you just take a moment away from everything that divides you.
You take a moment away from everything.
By simply closing the eyes you take a step back into yourself.
By closing the eyes to meditate you put a pause on the whole world.
And immediately you are with yourself.
Immediately you are with your conscious aware being.
And that is all that is needed.
You close the eyes,
Become aware of your living,
Aware being,
And the rest just follows.
The rest is just a few minutes of staying with it,
Staying with the silence of your being.
Because in that eventless,
Infinite formless space of your presence,
That is where your being is restored.
So take a moment in this sacred silence of your presence and see that after just a few minutes of being with yourself in this sacred space of presence you are at peace,
Blessed,
Content.
You are at peace.
