A common mistake in the practice is trying to get a result from it. But Awareness is not a form, so it cannot be possessed - it can be lived, it can be kept alive. And then you don't have to wait for it to come, you stay alive to it in every moment. Effortlessly as effortlessly your awareness shines.

Often we can fall victim to an old human way of looking at meditation and awareness as trying to get some result,

Trying to achieve meditation or awareness.

But awareness is not a form,

It cannot be achieved,

But you can be living aware.

You can't gain awareness.

It is not something that can stay,

That can become a solid form,

A rock.

That you can remain aware,

You can stay awake,

Alive,

Tuned in,

Receptive.

So if you pursue your practice of meditation as wanting to get some result,

This is not going to work.

But if you treat it as practice of remaining aware,

Remaining meditative,

Which means being aware,

Being present,

Meditative doesn't mean sleepy,

It means alert and receptive to your presence,

Receptive and awake to the one who is here.

So with this approach you cannot fail in meditation.

You cannot,

With this approach you are not meditating to reach somewhere,

To gain something.

With this approach you don't need to wait for anything.

The very moment you close the eyes,

The very moment you become present to your own being,

That very moment meditation is perfect and it's going on.

This moment of presence doesn't need to be perfected or to be reached.

The very moment you are present,

You are present.

And this being present to your own self,

Being present to the living,

Aware being,

To your own presence,

That is meditation that can be alive,

Awake.

And naturally you remain awake.

You cannot gain being present,

But you can remain being present.

And this is the whole secret of meditation and yoga.

The moment you want to possess it,

The moment you want to own it,

You just killed it.

You can only stay awake to it,

Stay tuned into it.

And through that be eternal devotee to the living conscious presence.

In practice you are never separate from what you practice.

From what comes into it.

Take it back.

Take it back up.
