In today's meditation,

I want to encourage you to think about the day ahead.

So start by closing your eyes.

Taking a deep breath in and out.

Allowing yourself to fully soften into this moment.

Imagine that you're growing roots all the way through the building into the earth that wraps around firm bedrock.

You are being held.

You are deeply rooted in this moment.

And think about an intention you have for today.

Really drawing from this rooted grounded place.

What do you want your day to look like?

How do you want to feel as you go through it?

Imagining yourself embodying that feeling and letting go of the particulars of the day.

Staying with whatever intention you have.

Staying with however you want to feel today.

And ask yourself,

What actions can I take today that will be helpful?

That will help me to feel the way I want to feel today.

What are the next right actions today?

And sometimes in these moments when we ask ourselves these questions,

All the obstacles come up,

All the challenges come up.

I want to help you put those down for a moment.

What's going to be helpful today?

The chaos will always be there.

How can we add to the peace of our day?

And ask yourself,

Where can I be of service?

Who can I be helpful to?

Who needs some kindness today?

Who needs some attention today?

Sometimes that's us.

Sometimes we really need to focus on our own,

Our own energies,

Our own well-being.

And sometimes it's actually very helpful in recharging and energizing and rejuvenating to be helpful to someone else.

Where can I take a healthy risk today?

Where can I step out of my comfort zone and challenge myself?

Really think about the opportunities to be brave today.

To be bold.

Again,

When we start thinking about these things,

We might be inundated with thoughts to the contrary.

We might start having thoughts that are fearful.

We're angry.

We're protective.

Just ask those thoughts to hang out for a moment,

If you can,

And gently bring yourself back to the questions,

Back to the reflections.

You know,

Let them know that you hear them,

You see them.

You're just taking a few moments to think about your day.

Continuing to breathe deeply.

Continuing to be with how you want to feel today.

And just take a moment to appreciate yourself right now.

It's so easy for us to just hop into our day.

It's so easy to go into autopilot.

It takes a lot of intention to be mindful.

It takes a lot of intention to think about our day.

It takes a lot of intention to be present with ourselves and others.

And it's great that you're doing that right now.

And you can come back to this meditation.

Our day can start over at any time.

Our day can start at 9 a.

M.

,

And it can restart at 9 p.

M.

So just becoming aware of the room.

Start wiggling your arms,

Moving your shoulders.

Maybe you're swaying in your cushion or chair.

Letting your body know that meditation is coming to an end.

And just take a few more deep breaths in and out.

And when you're ready,

You can open your eyes.
