Guilt lurks around the corners of your mind, without even your conscious awareness at times, but when we begin to see and question your thoughts and feelings, the truth appears. The following guided meditation will show you the simplicity of releasing guilt, not requiring effort or "doing", but rather a heartfelt intention to know the truth. Track: Dear Gravity-Good Morrow

Hi there,

Welcome to this guided meditation.

Today's meditation journey will be on releasing guilt.

I don't want to call this self-forgiveness because I think that in itself that word can feel like this action that needs to be taken.

Like I need to forgive myself and so you might begin to try to implement specific tools that will get you to meet that goal.

But truly self-forgiveness is a truth that you remember about yourself.

It's the recognition that you were never guilty to begin with.

That ultimately there was nothing even to forgive yourself about.

But as a society we have a very hard time believing that because of the system that we have in place.

Because of religion.

Because we have this core societal belief that we deserve to be punished for any bad thought or bad action that we do.

And this guilt can hide in so many different ways we might not even really realize how much guilt we're holding on to.

But it can come out in subtle ways such as continuing to listen to your inner critic over and over and over again.

Thinking that you need the inner critic as a sort of punishment to do better.

It might also subtly come out in perfectionism.

Always self-analyzing.

Always wanting to check all of your blind spots so you don't make a mistake so that you don't get punished.

Don't get that bad karma.

It can also hide in fearing the reactions or responses of other people when we accidentally do something.

Maybe show up late to a dinner party.

We fear they're going to be so upset with me.

What did I do?

Why am I like this?

And the source of that is guilt.

So I believe that guilt is actually so much more common than what we realize and that what we let ourselves even really know about ourselves.

But awareness is the first step.

And the second step is to ask the universe or God to correct all errors in your mind.

Because the thought and belief that you are guilty is an error.

It is part of the ego's story but not of the soul's story.

So the first step is awareness.

The second step is setting a true intention and asking God as the pure unconditional love that I am,

That exists.

To please correct all errors in my mind.

And that's it.

That's all that needs to be done.

You simply set that heartfelt intention,

That true genuine desire and ask for it to be done onto you.

Because there is nothing that you can personally do to achieve the goal of self-forgiveness,

Of releasing guilt.

Sure,

You can do all the self-compassion practices that you'd like and they can be helpful.

And I'll also add that at the same time,

The one most truest thing,

If you want to call it that,

That will truly help is done onto you.

For you.

Out of the love of God.

God will always show us the truth of who we are.

But only if we have the true desire to know.

All errors in our mind can be healed.

But once again,

Only if we truly wish them to be.

We just have to say yes.

I want to see truth.

I want to know something new.

I don't want to believe in what others have told me to believe.

Please,

God,

Tell me what I am.

What would you have me know about myself?

Show me the truth of me.

I ask you sincerely.

And with an open mind and an open heart,

You will be shown.

So long as you continue showing up with this intention in your heart every day.

The biggest lie that we've been told is that we are guilty.

And when you finally realize this big lie,

You will know.

You will know for certain how much of a lie it is.

You will experience your purity,

Your divine innocence in a way that you never have before.

And you will know,

Capital K,

That that is truth.

And you will even laugh at the absurdity in the belief of guilt in the first place.

You will realize just how much of a joke it is.

You will laugh and think to yourself,

How could I have ever believed that of me?

Because it will seem so ridiculous to you.

That is when you will truly begin to live your life anew with fresh eyes.

You'll just be so secure in that knowing that no one will ever be able to blind you again.

Take a deep breath.

I can give you a million words to tell you just how innocent you are.

But you will only know when it is truly realized for yourself.

With the intention that you set.

To finally see your innocence.

Thank you so much for listening.

I wish you a splendid day.
