So my friends,
Let's go into a guided meditation for a few moments to invite these teachings to land a little bit deeper.
So I invite you to find a comfortable posture for yourself.
Close your eyes if that feels comfortable for you and return to the breath.
Closing our eyes removes all of the beautiful visual stimuli that our eyes bring to us.
Using the breath as an anchor.
An anchor to bring the mind into the body and into presence.
Don't worry if a little yawn comes on.
It's just another way to relax the nervous system.
I invite you to take a deep breath.
Inhale through the nose,
Blowing up the belly like a big balloon and exhaling through the mouth.
Squeezing the belly and letting it all go.
Finding your own rhythm.
Letting the words fall away.
Connecting with the silence between the words.
Noticing what is here for you in this moment.
Checking in with your body.
Noticing any tightness or discomfort.
Checking in with your feeling tone.
Are you feeling an overall pleasant,
Unpleasant or neutral feeling tone?
And checking in with your mind.
Is the mind busy in the thought stream?
Or is it quieting down,
Relaxed?
If you find yourself lost in thought,
Simply bring your attention back to the breath.
Inhaling,
I know I am breathing in.
Exhaling,
I know I am safe.
Inhaling,
Breathing in.
Exhaling,
I am safe.
Notice your relationship to the silence.
Is it pleasant,
Unpleasant or neutral?
And notice your relationship to the fourth agreement.
Always do your best.
What do you feel in your body when you hear that phrase?
Do you feel a contraction?
Or do you feel an expansion?
Remembering that peace is this moment without judgment.
You notice what is here for you.
And you release any judgment.
And in the place of judgment,
You bring in these three little words.
This too belongs.
This too belongs.
Whatever is here,
Is already here.
Whatever emotion,
Whatever busy thought stream.
And so,
This too belongs.
And our practice is to learn not to cling to it.
And not to resist it.
Simply to be here,
Now.
With whatever arises.
This is a way of us doing our best.
In this moment.
And so I invite you to awaken the body a little bit.
Perhaps some neck rolls,
Shoulder rolls.
Wiggling of the fingers.
And at your own pace.
Opening your eyes when you're ready.
Coming back into the space.
The space that you never left.
The space of the eternal now.
Remembering that life is only and always and ever happening now.
