This is a throat chakra meditation.
The chakra system can be viewed as our spiritual nervous system.
Just like we tune into the physical body for feedback,
We can tune into the chakra system for intuitive guidance and self-care.
The throat chakra can be found in our neck and throat areas.
It is the fifth chakra and it sits above the heart chakra.
It is typically associated with the color blue or a shade of blue and it is connected to the ether element.
The throat chakra is the bridge from the mind to the heart and it plays a crucial role in navigating our internal and external experiences.
The throat chakra represents self-expression,
Communication and is responsible for delivering our personal truths.
It is our PA system.
When out of balance or blocked,
We may feel fearful and doubtful when it comes to expression of personal opinions,
Feelings and truths.
This can look like suppression of our inner voice,
Having a hard time expressing or communicating ourselves to the world,
Or trouble with listening to ourselves and others.
When in balance,
We communicate with confidence,
Decisiveness and integrity.
We have great listening skills and we express ourselves with peacefulness and ease.
We will now begin.
Find a comfortable position for your body.
This can be seated or lying down.
And begin to breathe.
Drop into the center of your chest.
As you breathe in,
Feel your chest,
Rib cage and belly expand.
And as you breathe out,
Feel the chest,
Rib cage and belly empty.
Feel the rise and fall of your body as you breathe.
With your imagination and your intuitive senses,
Start to connect with your throat chakra located in your throat.
Allow yourself to connect.
Feel it.
Ask your throat chakra to reveal anything that needs to be seen,
Heard or held today.
Without any judgment or self-editing,
Be with any information that comes back to you.
You may experience colors,
Emotions,
Memories,
Symbols,
Imagery or physical sensations in the body.
For the next few minutes,
Allow yourself to receive any information that comes forward and keep breathing.
Now,
Ask your throat chakra if there is anything that is needed from you today.
Sometimes it's just about acknowledgement and holding space for the information we receive without any judgment.
Ask if anything is needed and see what comes up for you intuitively.
Take a breath in and breathe out.
Thank your throat chakra for connection today and begin to imagine filling it up with a diamond shimmering light.
Feel it.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Now,
Slowly begin to release your focus on the throat chakra and come back to your entire body.
Notice your whole body.
Notice sensations,
The temperature on your skin and the support beneath you.
You may start to bring in little movements starting with your fingertips and your toes.
Allow your head to move a little from left to right and when you are ready,
You can blink your eyes open to the room.
Thank you for joining me in this throat chakra meditation practice.
It might be nice to journal your experiences on paper to ground and reflect on throughout the rest of your day.
Namaste.
