This is a guided chakra meditation.
The chakra system originated from India years ago and the term chakra is Sanskrit for the word wheel.
The idea behind the chakra system is that we have seven energetic wheels in the human body running up and down the spine and you can think of this as like a spiritual nervous system.
They are metaphysical in nature and so as I guide you through each chakra you can pick up intuitively on what you sense.
So just like tuning in and taking care of your physical body you can check in intuitively with the chakras and they'll provide you with information too.
If there are any imbalances that need to be seen or anything that is acting out in the background or subconscious layers you can bring it forward,
Tend to it and transmute it.
Move into this meditation with an open mind and an open heart and refrain from any judgment around what you pick up throughout the rest of this meditation.
Bring your body to a comfortable position.
You could be seated or lying down.
Feel your spine growing nice and long and start by tuning into your breath.
We'll take three breaths here and allow the breath to just pull you into your body.
Breathing in allow your chest to expand,
Your ribs to expand and as you breathe out notice the rib cage draw in closer together and all the air moves out of the body.
Breathing in inhale,
Breathing out exhale.
Take one more breath in,
One more breath out.
And just keep this normal cycle of breath going throughout the meditation.
Start to bring your awareness to the base of your spine.
Jumping in and tuning in to the root chakra.
This is our foundation.
This chakra is typically associated with safety,
Security,
Trust within the self.
It's also the home of our basic needs,
Our primal instincts and connection.
It's associated with the earth element and typically this chakra is associated with the color red or a shade of red.
Pause here as you check in with your root chakra and notice anything that comes forward here,
Sights,
Sounds,
Feelings or sensations.
Allow your intuition and your imagination to support you here.
Ask your root chakra to bring anything forward that needs to be seen and acknowledged today.
Notice your breathing,
Take a nice breath in and breathe out.
Two more breaths,
Inhale,
Exhale.
One more,
Breathe in and breathe out.
Moving up the spine to the area of the sacral chakra.

One more breath and release.
Facing the sacral chakra,
We start to move up the spine a little bit more into the area of the solar plexus.

And then releasing your awareness to the throat chakra and moving up a little bit higher into the spot between your eyebrows,

Big breath in.
Inhale and breathe out.
One more inhale.
Exhale exhale exhale.
You might start to bring a little bit of movement into your fingertips,
Your toes.
When you're ready you can blink open your eyes to the room.
Allow yourself to move slow.

It can be helpful to ground down your thoughts.
