Connecting with our inner child allows us to dig deep into the past and find things we experienced as a child that continue to impact us now as adults. Connecting with our little self, allows us to release things we hold in our body causing us to have trauma responses in the current time. Allow yourself to reconnect with your little self and discover past events that might be holding you back from your highest self.

I invite you to find a comfortable place and position,

Adjusting your body and clothing,

Finding yourself able to release and relax in this time,

Bringing your mind and awareness to your body,

To your breath.

If there's any tension in any area of your body,

I invite you to release it.

And as you come into this position and feel comfortable,

I invite you to close your eyes if you feel comfortable with that and take a deep breath in through your nose and out your mouth.

Doing that a couple more times,

Just completely releasing the control of anything going on in your life,

Around you,

Allowing your mind to sit back and relax,

Knowing that everything that was before this time will be there after this time if you decide to move back into that.

There's nothing more important in this moment than connecting with your own self.

And as you sit back and come into your own awareness,

Your mind begins to drift off to a place that brings you peace and comfort,

Whether it is walking on a trail,

Whether it's in a park,

Maybe on a beach,

Wherever you are,

Just allow yourself to be there fully in your mind.

Try not to strive to be in this place,

But just allow yourself to be there.

Maybe you can smell the air.

Maybe you can sense how the atmosphere and the breeze feels.

Is it warm?

Is it cool?

Is it just right?

What does the air smell like?

What are the sounds?

When you look around you,

What do you see?

In this place,

You know that you were one with everything and everything is one with you.

The energies that make up your own self,

Body,

Mind and spirit are also the energies all around you.

One,

Connected,

One.

In this place,

You know that you can ask for anything and receive it.

And as you're in this place,

You become aware of a child.

This child is off in the distance and they're walking towards you.

They appear to be excited and happy.

The closer they come,

You start to realize that this little child is you.

This is you when you were a little.

How old are they?

What do they look like?

What does their hair look like?

What do they have on?

What does their face look like as they approach you?

Are they giggling?

Are they laughing?

Are they smiling?

Do they start to run a little bit when they see you and to come and embrace you and hug you?

This little part of you that is coming into your awareness is full of life and excited to be in your presence.

One with you,

Just like everything else around you is one.

This is you as well.

As this little you approaches,

You take them up into your arms and you hold them and you welcome them and you let them know how excited you are to see them.

And as you begin to look in their eyes,

Even though their face appears to be excited and happy,

You notice some sadness.

You notice that they are worried or concerned that they are hiding something or holding something in as if they want to protect you.

So you take your little self and you set down somewhere,

Whether that be on a log or in an area where there's grass.

Wherever you sit,

You just allow the little you to come up into your lap and you look into their eyes and you ask them,

What is it?

What is it that is bothering you?

What worries do you have?

What are you scared of?

What do you fear?

And a little you looks up at you and begins to tell you what is going on.

Maybe she talks about something happening at home.

Maybe she or he talks about something going on at school.

Maybe he or she talks about an experience that they had.

And as they look at you and share this story,

You feel your heart overwhelming with compassion and love for this child,

Knowing that this child is completely innocent.

That this child did not ask for the circumstance to come into their life that they're speaking about,

But that the life and world around them had placed these events in their life or circumstances.

And as they're sharing,

You begin to understand that this little part of you being one with you is actually still present in today's time as you were an adult,

Trying to protect you from the same thing happening again.

The little you begins to let you know they never want this thing to happen again or this circumstance or this feeling.

So they try to come when you need the help to remind you that you need to act a certain way or be a certain way to avoid the pain or feelings that came with these events that they shared with you.

And as they share this with you,

You begin to realize that you no longer need to be protected in this way.

That this little child should be free to play and run and be a kid without the need to protect you,

The adult.

It is not the job of the child to protect the adult.

So in your compassionate love towards this little you,

You begin to hug them and let them know it is not your responsibility anymore to protect me.

I will protect you.

I am strong enough.

I am brave enough.

And I am big enough to make good decisions and protect us both.

And as you share this,

The little you looks up at you with tears in their eyes,

Surprised,

Maybe even concerned that maybe you won't protect them because they had not felt that before.

Just let them know how far you've come in life,

How much you've done,

How strong you are,

And that everything that they hold inside of them no longer needs to be present and that they themselves can release it.

You invite your little self to even take a deep breath with you and to let go of all those worries and concerns and to set back and to realize that you as a strong adult are able to manifest a life that you desire without the little parts controlling it any longer.

The Sire Relief allows all the energies to move and flow out of both of you and you become stronger and more aware of your behaviors and actions realizing when this little you tries to protect you and when they do not need to.

And as this little you releases this part of needing to control or protect you,

You remind them of the fun they can have as a child.

And you look up and you see an area that this little you can go and play.

Maybe you see water or the ocean,

Maybe you see a treehouse,

Maybe you see a playground,

Whatever it is that you look up and see.

Invite the little you to come with you over into this area and to be a kid,

To release all of the worry that it was holding and to move and play in abundance and love knowing that even this part of you,

This little child is also connected with all the beautiful energies around you with the abilities to ask and receive from the universe the abundance,

The life,

The blessings that are meant for you in this lifetime.

And as the little you goes to play,

You smile and release all the worries that they will be safe and know that the universe also protects them.

And as you move away from the little you,

Moving back into your own awareness and your own body,

Coming back into the adult self,

Into the present moment,

You bring gratitude with you knowing that all of this beauty,

The abundance,

The energy,

The universal love that you had in this place can come with you even now as you move into your day.

And I invite you to come back into the room when you feel ready,

Opening your eyes and taking a deep breath,

Reconnecting with your body.

And if you feel the need writing down what you received in the meditation to carry with you and remind yourself.
