In this Brahmari pranayama practice you will discover your inner bumble bee. Together we will practice 10 rounds of humming, in order to help you still the mind. As we focus on hearing and feeling the buzzing and humming, it is easier to let go of thoughts that don't serve us, reducing stress or anxiety. Music by Leigh Robinson from Pixabay.

Hello there!

Welcome to this pranayama practice.

Today we will practice the humming bee breath,

The so called pranayama.

It's called bee breath because when practicing it you actually almost sound like a bee.

This bee breath practice has a lot of different benefits.

Me personally I use it to get into a calmer state of mind and it helps me reduce the feeling of stress and anxiety when I had a long and difficult day or just woke up not feeling quite myself.

My recommendation is to practice this technique on an empty stomach and I wouldn't recommend it when you're pregnant.

So I invite you now to get in a comfortable meditation seat.

Ideally you are in a quiet place without any distraction around you.

In this practice we will do 10 rounds of the bee breath.

So ideally you would plug your ears with your index fingers and close your eyes.

In this case you might wear your headphones which is completely fine as well.

You can still do this practice.

So we will start with an inhale and we passively hum meaning your exhale happens through your nose.

So let's get started.

Hold here and inhale.

Hold here and inhale.

Hold here and exhale.

Hold here and inhale.

Hold here and exhale.

You can let go of your index fingers now in case you plucked your ears.

This is an easy practice to still your mind because the only thing you hear is the humming of your inner bee and the vibrations that you can feel within your body.

And it really helps to get rid of all the distractions in your head.

So come back into your space now.

You can open your eyes,

Wiggle your toes and your fingers.

Let me know in the feedback if this bee practice worked for you and what you felt.

Thank you for being here and have a great rest of your day.
