Hello,
And welcome to today's guided meditation.
You can close your eyes,
You can listen.
You can just take a few moments.
Wherever you are right now,
First of all,
Thank you for taking the time to be here for yourself.
That is the number one thing that you can do,
Is to take time for yourself.
And I don't mean,
You know,
Often we say,
Well,
You know,
I do things for myself.
I have a shower every day,
Or I brush my teeth,
Or I watch a show that I like,
Or whatever the case.
Like,
Those are great.
I think,
You know,
Personal care is different than self-care.
Self-care is,
It's deeper,
It's more rooted.
And it's great to spend time relaxing with loved ones,
Relaxing with yourself,
Perhaps with a show or a book.
That's wonderful.
And it's also easy for those things to sometimes disconnect us from ourselves as well,
Because we're looking outside of ourselves for stimuli,
For direction,
For guidance.
And when our bodies are waiting to give us a message of some kind,
If we would just sit still for a moment.
So that's what I'm hoping this meditation will be for you today.
So before we get started,
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Whether you're sitting up or lying down,
Whether you're wrapped up in a blanket,
Or whether you're under a fan,
You know,
Depending on where you are in the world.
It could be warm,
It could be cool.
And here where we are,
It's a mixture of both,
Because that's always how fall is,
Which is kind of fun.
Warm days,
Cool nights.
The autumn breeze is upon us.
So make sure that you're cozy.
This meditation's gonna guide you through some affirmations and some questions for you to ponder about where you're at with your body.
And it's all rooted in gratitude for your body having brought you here to this place.
So as you listen,
Feel free to just allow my voice to just come into your mind and help guide you through some questions.
So right now,
Let's get started.
As you're settled,
Let's begin.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in and out.
And as you're breathing,
I always invite you to breathe in through your nose.
I like to breathe in and out through my nose.
It really stimulates your parasympathetic nervous system and that relaxation that's waiting for you.
It's time to just be fully present with yourself.
You can press pause and release any stress you may be carrying from this morning.
Know that whatever is coming next,
It will come in its own time.
But for now,
Be truly in this moment.
Be still.
Just close your eyes and take a deep breath in and out.
May these affirmations bless your soul and fill you with gratitude.
Breathe in the eternal energy that brought your life into being.
While the air fills your lungs,
From your stomach to your chest,
Acknowledge your limitless worth and value and that you are whole,
Beautiful,
And so loved.
As you exhale,
Release the old stories that no longer serve you about your body.
Make space in your heart for a renewed sense of worthiness,
Opening to the possibilities of your inner and outer growth and clarity of purpose.
Breathing deeply in again,
Your lungs fill with fresh oxygen to restore your amazing body and to renew your mind.
Exhaling,
Release the need for your body to be any specific way it has brought you here to this moment.
This day.
In this moment,
You are exactly where you're meant to be.
Breathe in the awareness of a new way of living,
One that is guided by your body's wisdom.
Your body is wise.
It's always communicating with you.
And it always has been.
Decide in this moment to listen more closely for the messages it has for you.
Just take a moment now and tune in.
What's your body telling you it needs?
In reconnecting with your breath through the day,
You can gain a deeper relationship with yourself.
And throughout the day,
Just like now,
You can ask yourself,
Do you have any aches or pains?
How are your joints?
How are your legs?
How are your hands and your feet?
How are your shoulders?
Is there any tension anywhere?
Is there tension in your head?
Or in your chest?
Or maybe even in your throat?
Is there something that you need to release that you need to say out loud?
Is there a way you need to be heard?
Or is there a place for you to be resting right now?
Now,
As you tune in,
Tune in again to how you felt when you woke this morning,
How you felt when you fell asleep last night.
Did you have trouble sleeping?
Did you doze off right away?
Did you wake up feeling energized?
Or did you wake up feeling groggy and like you could have slept another hour or so?
Is your body telling you it needs more rest?
Allow that to emerge and let that just be.
Whatever your body's telling you is true.
Only you can feel what your body's telling you.
And think about now any meals that you have had today or even yesterday,
If you can remember.
How you felt before you ate?
Were you hungry?
Were you ravenous?
Or were you eating just because it was time to eat?
And how did you feel afterward?
And even during,
Did you feel relaxed?
Did your digestion feel smooth?
Or did you experience some discomfort?
Do you feel like you've been caring enough for yourself?
Or have you been giving so much of yourself away to others?
In what ways do you feel like you've been caring enough or do you feel like you may be abandoning yourself?
It's okay.
You're not alone.
Nothing's wrong with you if you feel that way.
Often it's so much a part of being a woman in this world or frankly just being a human.
Just know that right now in this moment,
You're listening to your body and that's the first step.
To you being heard.
You need to hear yourself first.
And just remind you,
You are so loved.
It's why you're here.
It's why you're in this world.
And I'm grateful that you're here watching this and spending this time with yourself.
This last question I'm gonna ask you,
What have you been putting off that you know in your heart you want to do?
Because it involves your body.
You know,
It involves having the energy,
The capacity,
The rest,
The focus.
And think about if you've been putting anything off,
Is it because you're overwhelmed?
Is it because you don't feel there's time?
Or is it because you feel other things or other people are more important than what you have to do or say?
Just let that soak in and just take note of that.
And now I just invite you to take another deep breath in and slowly exhale it out.
Bring your awareness to your entire body.
Slowly move your fingers and your toes.
And as you're breathing in,
Just feel that breath of life rising within you.
Feel peace,
The peace that exists in every breath that you have available to you.
It's available for you to access at any time.
And as you think of the day ahead,
Remember the divine is always there for you,
Ready to lead you into more kindness,
Self-love,
And compassion.
This time you've invested into your wellbeing is gonna help you move through your day feeling more centered and hopefully with more joy and ease,
Ready to show up in your life,
Relationships and interactions with more grace on yourself and even others.
So I hope you do feel more connected and tuned in.
And I want you to do this now,
Once we sign off,
Anything that stood out to you the most,
Anything that your body was telling you,
The way you felt with meals,
How was your sleep,
Things you're putting off,
Whichever things stood out to you or multiple things,
Jot them down on a piece of paper,
Record them into your phone,
And spend some time,
Just a few minutes,
Whenever you can today while it's top of mind,
Thinking more deeply on these things and seeing if there's something you can let go of or take a step towards that will help you feel even more in tune with yourself.
And I encourage you in this.
I am so grateful that you were here today.
I'm sending you so much love and feel free to listen to this meditation,
You know,
Upon waking or going to bed,
Or if there's time in the day you have just some space to be still.
It's an investment in yourself that will pay dividends for so many years ahead.
Thank you for spending the time with yourself and thanks for joining me today.
Have a beautiful rest of your day.
Big blessings to you.
