We have read plenty and we have heard plenty and many many have read over time.
And there is the approach which is,
Well,
You know about that it's all nothing but it's just that pure consciousness.
Which name do you want to give it?
It doesn't matter.
And that way it's teaching was this one.
Right?
Now,
The same thing in a time,
Maybe this may be early age,
The teaching was,
Or I don't know.
But again,
This is a little different approach and a more loving approach.
And the same,
The one,
They use the word the infinite consciousness,
They learned the Tathrayas teaching.
That him there to one sage who had lots of things had happened to him and his families.
So even his father was also a sage.
The one,
This teaching,
Datta is imparting the teaching to him.
His name is also very close to Rama.
His name is a Persian Ram.
He was a great sage but his father was a sage and he had a called wishfulfuling cow in a jungle.
So anyone comes he just gives the food,
Whatever,
No problem.
So one day lots of princes from a big,
They came for hunting and they got hungry and they saw this beautiful place.
They came and so the sage said,
Welcome,
We will feed you.
So he goes to the cows and feed the most delicious food.
So all princes start thinking,
What on the earth,
Where is he bringing from?
And he said,
What is this?
He said,
Well,
I have this mother cow and she gives me whatever I need.
So all the princes said,
Well,
You don't need it.
We need it.
We are the princes.
In a jungle,
Why do you need it?
So the sage said,
Well,
If cow wants to go,
You can have it.
So they tried to grab the cow and the cow wouldn't budge,
Doesn't want to go.
So they left but at night they came,
They killed the sage and took the cow away.
And at that time his son,
Which is the character here,
Persian Rama,
He wasn't there.
So after a week when he came back he saw his mama was crying and everything was dark and said,
What happened?
And she described the whole thing.
And Persian Rama,
He got furious.
He had lots of weapons.
One of the weapons was a load Shiva had given to him and he got furious.
He wiped out all the ksatriya's race on the planet.
Not once,
21 times.
What is the name of the ksatriya?
Warrior.
They are all the warrior,
Prince,
King.
He said,
You unjustly to a sage?
You are supposed to be bowing down because you learned from them and you killed him for no reason.
So finally all their ancestors said,
Please we are stuck in blood pools.
Stop killing them.
So he said,
Okay,
I will stop it.
So then this Rama came and the story goes on and he heard that Rama is a big hero.
And so he tried to battle him but something happened and Rama,
The message really comes that he is really not Rama.
He is one of the incarnations of the Lord Vishnu.
And so just relax and so he understood and he said,
Okay,
Now I am on my way.
And then when his mother had to also leave,
He was also saying before he said,
Take me to Ganges river and let me go.
So that's what he did,
Carry her all the way to the river from many,
Many miles.
And she gave him a kind of a medallion and said,
When you need help,
When you're looking for your guru,
Open it.
So after all this thing happened,
He said,
Oh,
I think I need help now.
I need my guru.
So he opened it and he said,
Go to Lord Datta.
He is your guru.
So then he goes,
Finds in a mountain and the Lord Datta was sitting and come down and say,
Yes,
I was also thinking about you.
Oh,
Parashurama,
Are you well and all thing and that's a beautiful way the dialogue goes on.
And then Parashurama was also by then,
He was already calmed down.
And he said,
Yes,
Lord,
What do I do now?
He said,
Well,
He tells about the same,
The infinite consciousness he described as a Mother Devi Tripura goddess.
Tripura,
The one who is running through,
Through everything.
So,
As a worshipper,
She's in your cave,
In the cave of your heart.
And once she pleases,
The wisdom will come to you.
So,
But first thing is to worshipping.
So he worships this and learn things.
And after 12 years,
He goes back.
He said,
Well,
I still have a question.
And so this is the cream of the final,
The teaching,
It was given to him in again in a form of parables,
In a stories.
So there are many,
Many stories.
This is a wonderful book.
As long as we can read between the language,
Sometimes the English language written by some Indian teacher or it has a,
You know,
It works differently.
But we are not after that,
We are after the essence,
The essence.
So we have heard this so much and I thought that as a complimenting his teaching,
We can finish with one kind of a story and try to see from different angle or just see what it's saying.
And that also story we have read it before and it's not,
Once is not enough.
So we will read it again because this is so slippery,
It slips away.
But still something do get stick,
It rubs,
It rubs.
And that's why I like it,
Like look at this,
I mean,
I have such a nice coat,
But see,
It's all thread and thing.
But if I put those things,
Thread in some,
Any kind of a mud or any color,
Before you know it,
You will be here.
So this is the same way the teaching,
We need that kind of a teaching over so it start begin to spread and then it get hold of us.
That's the intention.
So he's narrating the stories to pursue Rama that who had already spent so many years in a jungle and he was ripe,
Ready to absorb it like all of us.
We have done our homework,
I think.
So he's telling,
He said,
I shall now relate to you an ancient sacred story.
On one occasion,
Very long ago,
There was a very distinguished gathering of holy saints collected in the abode of Brahmāda creator.
Then a very subtle and a sublime disputation took place.
Among those present were many sages,
You don't need to know the name of them,
But they were all the different sages.
And a celestial being and all.
Each one of them spoke of his own system.
Now can you see that?
That was happening even then.
Each one of them spoke of his own system with courage and conviction and maintained that it was better than all of the other one.
Oh my God.
But they could,
Maybe they were playing it,
They were not hopefully,
But they could reach no conclusion.
And so asked the creator Brahmāda,
He said,
Lord,
We are sages who know all about the world and beyond.
But each one's way of life different from that of the others.
Because the dispositions of our minds differ.
Isn't that,
We were always talking about this?
Some of us are always in a nirvikalpa samadhi,
Nirvikalpa means a thoughtless samadhi like him,
You know,
And you just be there.
And some engage in a philosophical discussion.
And some sunk in a devotion,
Some have taken to work and others seem exactly like men of the world.
Which is the best among us?
Who are the best?
Please tell us.
You know it.
We cannot decide ourselves because each thinks that this is the way the best and we don't want to fight.
So help us.
So Das requested.
Brahmāda creator,
He was very smart,
He said,
Hmm.
Seeing their perplexity,
Answered,
Best of saints,
I also would like to know.
So now he's playing the game,
He said,
Hmm.
Instead of me telling them,
Maybe they will not listen to me,
I would like to know also.
There is one Lord who is the old knower.
Let us go and ask him.
And while we are going there we will collect the Vishnu,
The preserver,
The maintenance God and take him with us.
So they collected Vishnu,
Lord Vishnu,
Who Datta is considered is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
So Lord Vishnu also gathered,
He said,
Yeah,
Let's go,
Let's see what's cooking.
They all went to Shiva,
Shiva,
The Lord Shiva is the absolute and they still give them the form with the snake and the matted hair and trident.
The Ganges,
He was coming out of her hair,
Flowing.
So they went to Shiva and they're the leader of the deputation of someone like somebody.
Brahma,
Oh the Brahma was the leading them,
So asked Shiva about the matter.
Now having heard Brahma,
Shiva divined the mind of Brahma.
See,
They are tricky,
They are tricky.
Divined the mind of Brahma and understood that these rushi,
The sages were wanting in confidence and saw that any words of his would be useless.
See how,
So he said,
Now what am I going to do?
So he then said to them,
He said,
Oh dear one,
Hear me sages,
Neither do I clearly see which is the method.
Wow.
Let us meditate on the Goddess.
Her majesty,
Unconditioned knowledge.
We shall then be able to understand.
Are you?
There is the Mother Goddess.
So let us meditate on the Goddess,
Her majesty,
Unconditioned knowledge.
We shall then be able to understand even the subtlest of truth by Her grace.
Listen to those words.
By Her grace,
All these Shiva's and they are the Lord,
They have a power to create,
They have a power to destroy and they still,
There is no,
What do you call,
There is not a trace of not knowing.
There is always knowing and there is always the humbleness.
This is for fun.
So they said by Her grace,
On hearing these words of Shiva,
All of them,
Including Shiva,
Vishnu,
Brahma,
Meditated on Her divine majesty.
The transcendental consciousness pervading the three states of life.
We are running through the three states,
The waking,
The dream and the dreamless.
These are the three states.
And through those states,
The transcendental consciousness,
The pure consciousness,
The infinite consciousness,
That pure intelligence is running through,
Pervading the three states of life.
So thus invoked,
She manifested in her glory as the transcendental voice in the expanse of pure consciousness.
They heard the voice speak like thunder from the skies.
So she said,
Speak out your mind,
Oh sages,
Be quick.
The desires of my devotees will always be fulfilled immediately.
Because all the sages were also worshipping her,
They were not dummy.
But that's why she said,
Okay,
Hearing the voice,
The exalted sages prostrated in Brahma and the other praise the Goddess.
Namely absolute consciousness pervading the three states of life.
Salutation to you,
The greatest,
The best,
The most auspicious,
The absolute knowledge,
The consciousness of the three states,
The creatrix,
The protectress,
The dissolver in the self,
The supreme one transcending all salutation,
Salutation to you again,
All the Lord and everyone.
There was no time when you were not there anywhere.
Because you are the unborn,
You are ever fresh and hence you never grow old.
You are all the essence of all.
If this doesn't answer our questions well,
I guess I wish you luck.
Ah.
Ah.
Yeah,
This is orgasm.
So like yesterday you were telling somebody eating some food,
She was start screaming ah,
Ooh,
Ah,
And Ray said,
What,
Is it something like she has orgasm or she's just eating mangoes?
So this is orgasm also,
You know.
Ah.
Ah,
Man,
She hasn't even said anything yet.
She hasn't even spoken much,
Can you imagine that?
God,
Are we ready to listen?
Where is Nora?
Is she there somewhere?
Oh,
Good.
So,
So you are all the essence of all,
The knower of all,
The delighter of all,
And you are not all also.
Do you get that?
You are all and still you are not all.
You are nowhere and you are everywhere.
With no core in you,
Unaware of anything and delighting no one.
All supreme being,
Salutation to you over and over again,
Before and behind and above and below,
On all sides and everywhere.
Kindly tell us your relative form.
These are all the Lord and the sages are asking her.
You are in your relative form,
In your transcendental state.
Your prowess,
Your prowess and your identity with knowledge,
Jnana.
What is the proper and perfect means for attaining you,
My Lord?
The nature and the result of such attainment,
How can we see that what is the nature of it?
There is only three pages.
So,
So what is you and what is the nature and the result of such attainment?
What is the utmost finality of the accomplishment beyond which there remains nothing to be accomplished?
And who is the best among the accomplished sages?
Wow.
That was their question was originally.
And salutation to you again and again.
Thus,
Bishot,
The goddess of ultimate knowledge began with great kindness to explain it clearly to the sages.
So those who can listen,
Listen carefully and the rest are you.
Listen sages,
I shall categorically explain to you all that you have asked.
I shall give you the nectar drawn out as the essence from the unending accumulation of sacred literature.
I am the abstract intelligence.
Wow.
Where from the cosmos originates,
Where on it flourishes all the cosmos,
All the universes we were talking yesterday.
And remember we said something about that infinite consciousness which enveloped the space and all the universes are within the space.
And this,
The infinite consciousness that enveloped the space.
And so she says in a different way that I am the abstract intelligence and where the cosmos originate from me and it flourishes on and wherein it resolves.
That's exactly what he was telling us.
That he saw all those things dancing and then merging in and then started again.
Like the images in a mirror.
The ignorant know me as the gross universe.
Whereas the wise feel me as their own pure being eternally glowing as eye to eye,
Eye within.
The cave in your heart,
That eye and the other eye,
The normal eye.
So these are two eye,
Eye within.
Let me read it again.
The ignorant know me as the gross universe.
Whereas the wise one feel me as their own pure being eternally glowing as eye,
Eye within.
This realization is possible only in the deep stillness of thought-free consciousness.
Similar to that of deep sea free from waves because thoughts are waves.
The nature of thoughts to make ripples,
Waves and then you can achieve the depth.
It gets flooded,
It fogs.
So you can see only in that stillness,
Thought-free stillness and that's why we sit on our hoohoo,
Meditate,
Try to get the help to quieten the thoughts so we can see deep inside.
So it appears on its own not as that I want to see.
We cannot do that.
The most earnest of devotees worship me spontaneously and with the greatest sincerity which is due to their love of me.
Although they know that I am their own non-dual self.
Yet the habit of loving devotion which is deep rooted in them makes them conceive their own self as me and worship me.
Yes,
The life current pervading their bodies,
Senses and mind without which nothing could exist and which form the soul support of the holy scriptures.
Such is my transcendental state.
Rare you will find this clarity and this pure nakedness in this depth.
Now I will describe you my concrete form.
As if you will read that piece again.
Of course.
The most earnest of devotees worship me spontaneously and with the greatest sincerity which is due to their love of me.
Although they know that I am their own non-dual self.
Yet the habit of loving devotion which is deep rooted in them makes them conceive their own self as me and worship me.
Yes,
The life current pervading their bodies,
Senses and mind without which nothing could exist,
Without that current nothing could exist and which forms the soul support of the holy scriptures.
And such is my transcendental state.
My concrete form is the eternal couple,
The Shiva and the Shakti.
The supreme Lord and energy.
Always in undivided union because the Lord doesn't exist without the energy and energy has no meaning without the Lord.
Always in undivided union and abiding is the eternal consciousness,
Consciousness pervading the three phenomenal states of waking,
Dream and sleep.
And reclining on the cart,
Now he is talking something more descriptions of reclining,
We have seen way,
Way old the pictures of the Lord lying on a cart.
And reclining on the cart whose four legs are Brahma the creator,
Vishnu the protector,
Shiva the destroyer and there is another leg is called Ishvara but it's a disappearance.
And whose surface is the grace which is contained in the mansion known as the fulfillment of purpose.
Enclosed by the garden,
The trees in the that tree something like those crystal pyramid trees in the jewel island situated in the wide ocean of nectar surrounding the cosmos and extending beyond.
All the gods,
All the beings,
All the celestials,
Serpents and the superhuman,
All the beings,
All manifestation of myself.
However,
People do not know me because their intellect is shrouded in ignorance.
I grant moons to those who worship me.
There is no one besides me worthy of worship or capable of fulfilling all desires.
And not only how we worship,
There is a level of worship.
The fruits of worship are put forth by me according to the mode of worship and the nature of individual desires.
Because somebody can worship just to get more money or a house or more children or a divorce,
Who knows.
I am indivisible and interminable.
Boy,
That's a rare sermon I have heard that you would say out loud very clearly.
Being non-dual and abstract intelligence,
I spontaneously manifest even as the smallest detail in the universe and as the universe.
Though I manifest in diverse ways,
I still remain unblemished because absoluteness is my nature.
Absoluteness is my being.
This is my chief power,
Which is somewhat hard to fully understand because you are still not clear.
We are fagged.
Although I am not involved,
Oh no,
Therefore all sages consider this with the keenest of intellect.
Though I am the abode of all and imminent in all,
I remain pure.
Although I am not involved in any manner and am always free,
I wield my power.
Now she is giving the power to someone.
Wield my power which is called the Maya.
Become covered with ignorance.
Appear full of desires.
Seek their fulfillment.
Grow restless.
Cannot sleep at night.
Sometimes sleep ten hours at night.
Project favorable and unfavorable environments.
And born and reborn as individuals until growing wiser.
I seek a teacher and sage.
Learn the truth from him.
Put it in a practice and finally become absolved.
All this goes on in my pure,
Uncontaminated,
Ever free,
Absolute intelligence.
This manifestation of the ignorant and the free and the others is called my creation,
Which is however without any accessories.
My power is too vast,
My dear,
To be described.
You couldn't hang on to it.
So I shall tell you something of it in brief.
It is that cosmos is only the obverse of the many details in them leading up to different results.
Knowledge relating to me is complex but it can be dealt with under the two categories,
Dual and non-dual.
Of which the dual relates to worship and the later one the non-dual to realization.
On account of their intricacies there are many details in them leading up to the different results which we are witnessing everywhere.
Dual knowledge is manifold because it depends on the concepts of duality and it manifests as worship,
Prayer,
Incantation,
Meditation,
Etc.
All of which are due to nothing more than a mental imagery.
Because she is the one doing it.
Even so,
They are efficacious.
I don't know.
They work.
They work?
They work.
Even though the mental imagery works,
That's what she is trying to say,
In a contradiction to daydreams because the law of nature provides for it.
There are degrees in efficacy of the methods of which the most important concerns,
Most important concerns the aspect mentioned before.
The ultimate goal of all is certainly non-dual realization.
Worship of abstract intelligence in a concrete form is not only useful but essential for non-dual realization.
Because we have a form.
We are using the form.
We are in the form and it's very easy to connect to the form and through connecting through the form realizing that life current as she is,
That current running through all and that's where we become non-dual.
Because how can one be made fit for it?
You have to get ripe.
When the mango gets ripe it turns sweet and then and then it falls down from the tree.
Otherwise there is a stickiness.
It cannot fall down and if it falls down by force it's not sweet.
So this is to be get ripe that's why she said the worshipping but intelligently worshipping with the understanding what you are worshipping.
That will take you to the non-duality.
Non-dual realization is the same as pure intelligence.
Absolutely void of objective knowledge.
Such realization nullifies all objective knowledge.
We don't need it.
Revealing it in all its nakedness to be as harmless as a picture of bouncing tiger.
Ooh the tiger is ready to.
Or an enraged serpent.
If they are in a picture they cannot harm us.
So that's what happens.
When the mind has completely resolved into the self and that state called the undifferentiated peaceful state or a nirvikalpa samadhi.
And after waking up from it there is the memories of it.
The person is overpowered by the memory of his experience.
That's why the experience is important,
Is helpful.
That is overpowered by the memory of his experience as the one undivided infinite pure self and then he knows I am that.
But not I,
Not I.
It is I am that.
I cannot express but there is no,
Even though there is a feeling that I am that but not I as a manisha or I as a ray or it's just I without the individual personality.
I am that.
No individuality there.
So then he knows that I am that as opposed to,
Oh god,
That language,
Puerile.
What is the puerile?
Childish.
Ah,
Good,
Good.
They should use the word childish.
As opposed to the childish I thought of ignorant.
What's that?
Ah,
It's very clear now.
It's,
Marika,
Are you there?
You are gone,
Huh?
I know.
I don't blame you.
What was the question?
It's a,
When the thought slows down and one has that state of silence then it becomes the self.
It becomes the mother because there is,
He or she isn't there.
And when he comes out the memories of that state was so powerful he cannot avoid even during the normal state.
He cannot avoid not being there because it's been so much with him.
Then he realized that I am that.
And that I has nothing to do with the individual.
It is the universe of I.
His experience and that's where the person lives.
Not as the childish I thought by the ignorant.
Thought of the ignorant.
Even though we feel the same way,
We feel the same,
Oh I,
I.
But if there is some traces of ignorance there then it's a mixture of that I.
It is not that pure I.
And that's a journey and that's what we are doing.
That is supreme knowledge.
Now,
There is the samadhi.
Samadhi is like they call two types of samadhi.
Somebody may have heard.
One called the one it's a totally thought,
There are no thoughts in that state,
Thoughtless state.
But there is the another samadhi which is in a normal life that the thought comes.
Now let me read this.
This is the essence to be living with a normal life how it can happen.
Now the advanced state of meditation,
There is another one it's called the savikalpa samadhi where the thoughts are there where the person is aware that he has turned away from objective to objectivity towards subjectivity.
And feels his proximity to the state of that self realization what had happened to him in the thoughtless state.
He is aware of it.
When he actually sinks within the self there is no knowledge apart from the simple awareness of blissful existence.
And this is the thoughtless samadhi,
The nirvikalpa samadhi.
He is waking up then he sees the world just as any other person does but his outlook has become different.
He is now able to know his pure self.
This is the inner eye that you walk,
You see but you are different.
You are not going to turn white this life.
You are finished.
But something else will change inside.
You look the same from outside.
The other can recognize you only from outside as well but from inside you have changed.
You see the world different from inside and still play from the outside as a normal being but from inside you are different.
This is how you are different like a coconut.
When the right knowledge has been thoroughly rooted in we turn like a dry coconut in a shell.
It shakes.
Looks like one coconut but there are two.
The one it has lost its stickiness.
Have you seen those coconuts?
It shakes the dry one.
We turn dry from inside.
There is no juice in the stickiness of attachment or stickiness of desires or craving.
There is nothing there.
The juice of craving is dried up by the fire of the wisdom,
Fire of the self awareness.
And so we become too that eye,
That eye,
The inner eyes looking through the outer eyes it appears for the others the same but for us it is totally different.
And so what happens to the person?
He is now able to know his pure self and no longer confounds himself with the ego.
With the ego,
The eye,
The small eye.
And that is the ekme of realization.
So,
Theoretical knowledge consists in differentiating between the self and the non-self through the study of the scriptures or the teaching of a master or by one's own deliberation.
It can happen.
Supreme wisdom is that which puts an end to the sense of a non-self once and for all.
That is the supreme wisdom.
And non-dual realization admits nothing unknown or unknowable and pervades everything in entirety so that it cannot in any way be transcended.
When that is accomplished the intellect becomes quiet,
Clear because all doubts have been destroyed.
And then the predisposition of the mind are destroyed.
Predisposition,
You know,
Like craving,
The greed and all kind of anger and hate and memories and they are all destroyed.
Though any remnants of this that may remain are as harmless as a bangless viper,
The snake.
And that's why we were talking about that once this has happened,
We appear like a burnt rope which has lost its strength to tie.
It cannot tie burnt rope but it has hold on to the shape of rope.
So that's why it happens that even though we may have some memories and some behavior remains but it's harmless.
The fruit of self-realization is the end of all misery here and here after.
An absolute fearlessness.
That is called emancipation.
Fearlessness because there is a freedom from inside.
There is nothing to be proved to the others or nothing to know.
Fear implies the existence of something apart from oneself.
Can the sense of duality persist after non-dual realization?
Or can there be darkness after sunrise?
Oh,
Sages,
There will be no fear in the absence of duality.
On the other hand,
Fear will not cease so long as there is the sense of duality.
The self is abstract intelligence,
Free from thought.
The knower,
Knowledge and the known are not real as different entities.
Just the way in a prayer we were talking,
Gnathag,
Nanam,
Tathagnayam,
That knowledge,
Known,
Knowing,
Knower,
They are no different.
When differentiation among them is destroyed,
Their true nature is evident in the resulting non-dual consciousness which is also the state of emancipation.
So to reach to the emancipation,
What is the first we need?
That the earnestness is the only requisite for emancipation.
No other requisite is needed if the longing for emancipation is intense and unwavering.
What is the use of hundreds of efforts in the absence of a real and unswerving desire for emancipation?
Is it the soul requisite and nothing else?
So we can close this shop with one prayer.
That what we heard about her,
Who she is now,
So we can bow down and do the prayer to her.
Everybody knows that.
Let's join it.
Vairam toh meva,
Toh meva sarvam mam deva devam.
Toh meva sarvam mam deva devam.
Om shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti.
Adiyo.
Vairam toh meva sarvam mam deva devam.
Vairam toh meva sarvam mam deva devam.
