Welcome to this meditation mama.
This is a prenatal connection and stress release meditation tailored for new mamas.
Now let us begin by finding a comfortable quiet space where you can sit or lie down,
Hopefully free of some distractions.
You might want to place one hand on your heart when you are ready and the other one on your belly,
Gently cradling your growing baby.
Now when you are ready,
Take a deep slow breath in through your nose and as you exhale,
Release any tension you might be holding in your body.
Let your shoulders relax,
Soften your jaw and feel your body melt into the surface beneath you.
Now breathe naturally,
Feeling the rise and fall of your belly with each breath.
Allow yourself to settle into this moment,
Giving yourself permission to pause from any worries or expectations.
With your next breath,
Bring your awareness to your baby,
Growing safely within you.
Feel the gentle weight of your hand on your belly and imagine a soft warm light surrounding your womb,
A light that symbolizes the love and protection you have for your baby.
As you breathe,
Visualize this light expanding,
Growing warmer and brighter with each inhale,
Filling you with a sense of calm,
Peace and connection.
This light connects you to your baby,
Flowing from your heart to your belly,
Creating a bond of pure love.
Now as you feel this light and love radiating between you and your baby,
Silently repeat to yourself,
I am safe.
My baby is safe.
I am calm.
My baby is calm.
I am connected.
My baby feels my love.
Allow these affirmations to gently wash over you,
Releasing any stress or anxious thoughts.
With every exhale,
Imagine the worries or fears floating away like clouds,
Dissolving into the sky.
They no longer have a hold on you.
And as you continue breathing deeply,
Bring your awareness and focus back to your baby.
Imagine the light of love wrapping around your baby,
Cocooning them in warmth,
Safety and peace.
You are their safe place,
Their home and in this moment you are both at ease.
Know that it is okay to feel a range of emotions.
You are doing an incredible job nurturing life and it's natural to experience moments of doubt or stress.
But right now,
You are allowing yourself to let go of those feelings.
Trusting in your body's wisdom and the deep connection you share with your baby.
Now gently place both hands on your belly.
Feel the gentle movement of your breath beneath your palms.
And know that each breath you take is a gift to your baby.
Each inhale brings in love and each exhale releases anything that doesn't serve you.
Now before we close this meditation,
Silently thank yourself for taking this time to connect,
To release and to nourish yourself and your baby.
Feel the warmth of your love and compassion for both yourself and your child.
You are enough just as you are.
When you're ready,
Gently begin to bring awareness back to your room.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Feeling grounded and peaceful.
Know that you can return to this space of connection and calm whenever you need it.
Now take one last slow deep breath in and out.
And when you're ready,
Softly open your eyes,
Carrying this sense of peace and love with you as you move forward in your day.
