So let's get started First let's talk about what trauma is Trauma can result from a wide range of experiences including accidents abuse or even natural disasters it can leave us feeling disconnected from our bodies and overwhelmed by emotions But remember healing is possible Now,
Let's explore how movement Specifically dance can help us on our healing journey Dance allows us to express ourselves physically releasing pent-up emotions and tension It's a powerful tool for reconnecting with our bodies and reclaiming our sense of self Next let's bring mindfulness into the mix Mindfulness involves being fully present in the moment non-judgmentally observing our thoughts and sensations By combining dance with mindfulness,
We can cultivate a deeper connection with ourselves and our bodies Now I'll guide you through a simple dance and mindfulness practice Find a comfortable space Put on some music that resonates with you and let's begin Start by standing tall Grounding yourself through your feet take a deep breath in and As you exhale let go of any tension in your body Begin moving your body in a way that feels natural to you Let the music guide you Allowing your body to express itself freely As you dance bring your attention to the physical sensations in your body Notice the rhythm of your breath Notice the rhythm of your breath the feeling of your muscles working and the energy flowing through you If any emotions arise simply observe them without judgment As you continue to move bring your attention to the physical sensations Notice your breath Your muscles moving your body parts moving and the energy that's flowing through you Really feel into this present moment right now right here and Let yourself dance to the music you have on You Again remember if any emotions arise simply observe them without judgment Allow yourself to feel and release whatever comes up Continue dancing and being present in the moment for as long as it feels right to you When you're ready Gradually bring your movements to a close Taking a moment to appreciate the experience Remember this practice is a journey and it may take time to fully Accept this Healing and self-discovery Because everyone's journey is unique so be patient and kind to yourself along the way and Come back to this practice as many times as you feel up for it As we come to a close I encourage you To journal And write down your thoughts and feelings To process and reflect on your experience Write down how you felt before this exercise And now write down What came up for you during the exercise and how you feel after the exercise Journaling will allow you to gain insights Track your progress and Release any emotions that may have come up It will enhance your healing and And your mindfulness and movement practice That's it for this session I Hope to see you in the next session if you enjoyed this track,
