Hello there,

My name is Saskia and this is a meditation to bring your body back to more safety.

The world,

People,

Places and things can feel scary at times,

Overwhelming.

So much is going on and it's hard to feel ourselves.

Those moments are difficult and everything can feel out of control.

It is a practice to come back into our bodies to be able to think clearly.

So I'd like to invite you to one of those practices.

Let's just start.

Find somewhere where you can sit.

Chair,

Couch or the floor.

And then feel your feet on the ground.

Nicely grounding,

Heavy.

And then feel your sit wherever you're sitting.

And notice if one of the sitting bones is pushing more into the seat or not.

Feel which one is heavier,

Which side is heavier right now and which side might be lighter.

And from that place,

Feel into your own system and feel what would make you 2% more comfortable.

No need for big shifts.

2%.

Maybe you need to shift a foot to make it more comfortable.

Wiggle your shoulders.

Feel if you're cold or hot.

Maybe you want a blanket.

Maybe you want to take something off.

What is it that you need in this moment to feel a little bit more comfortable?

And know that I said,

Not perfect,

A little bit more comfortable.

From there,

Feel where that comfort feels in your body.

How does it feel?

Does it have a texture?

Does it have a color?

Does it feel warm,

Cold,

Tingly?

And feel that part just for one or two seconds more.

And then notice the shift in your state of mind and in your body.

To finish off,

Take a deep inhale through your nose and then exhale through your mouth.

Take a deep inhale,

Exhale through your mouth,

And last time,

Deep inhale and last time,

Deep inhale and completely exhale.

First and foremost,

Thank yourself for taking a step,

For regulating and practicing more safety in your body.

And I thank you for practicing with me.
