Hello and welcome,

This is Sarah Naylor for Insight Timer,

Inviting you to take five minutes out to simply stop,

Reset,

Refocus and recognise what you have achieved today already and what you would like to achieve for the rest of the day.

So firstly,

Congratulations for taking the time to stop and have these five minutes with me.

And what I would like you to do after we have finished together is to gift yourself another five minutes too.

Now I probably fall into the category that you're in,

That I'm too busy to stop.

I'm too busy to stop and take some time out.

The reality is when we are of that mindset,

It actually means we need to take more time out to stop.

I'm taking more time out myself these days.

I've had to have a word with myself and I have reined myself in somewhat to say,

Sarah,

You really don't need to keep pushing yourself as hard as you do and relax.

So are you sitting comfortably?

Let's begin.

What have you achieved today already?

Just take a few moments to think about what you have actually done.

Because here's a thing,

We tend to do so much on autopilot,

We simply forget how much we've actually done in a day before we've actually finished doing the day.

You know,

We can have these ongoing to-do lists,

However,

It is important to really stop and say,

What have I actually done?

Yes,

I have done more than I think I've done.

Because when you actually stop,

When you stop and you write down and take note of what you've done,

Or you look at those ticks that you've ticked off on your to-do list,

You do suddenly realise you've done more than you think that you have done.

I do think sometimes we put far too much pressure on ourselves.

As I've said myself,

I'm talking from experience,

I'm assuming that maybe you do the same.

It's kind of ourselves to think of ourselves and it's self-care at its best to recognise what we have done and to remove that pressure because we are in control of what we do and how we respond and how we behave.

Obviously,

There are situations and scenarios where you are employed and there's lots going on.

However,

If you can find those five minutes when you have a five minute break,

Like you might be doing now,

Or whether it's in the morning,

Whether it's on public transport,

Whether it's before you even start the day or whether it's midday at a break point,

Just to stop and take stock and recognise what you've done,

Realise that you have achieved a lot already and then just breathe,

Just spend some time breathing.

Because we do,

We launch from one thing to the next,

To the next,

To the next and we don't stop often enough.

Yes,

I know I'm talking from experience.

However,

What else have I got in all reality?

I've got common sense,

I've got wisdom,

I've got living my life at full pelt.

At one point in my life,

I was running my recruitment business,

My coaching practice,

My podcast and writing a book and digital.

.

.

I was doing silly amounts and having turned my life around of late,

I have made some big changes there and I've had to stop myself whilst I've been rebuilding my business following rather a challenging year during 2023.

I've had to stop myself from applying too much pressure.

Again,

I've had to say,

No,

You can stop,

You don't need to keep doing and applying all this pressure on yourself,

Which is what prompted me to record this five minute reset for you,

To give yourself that permission,

Give yourself that time to stop,

Just to breathe,

Just to be,

To recognise what you've done and be happy with what you've done because what you think and that internal dialogue that you have with yourself is what you put in,

Is what you get out.

So,

If you constantly allow the inner critic to take over,

That is what you'll get more back of.

So,

Focus in on telling the inner critic to be quiet,

That you are having this time out,

You have achieved a lot,

You have a lot more to do today or not as the case may be and you are going to enjoy the rest of your day and you're going to be pleased and happy with what you have achieved.

And with that note,

I wish you a lovely,

Relaxing five minutes more as this track ends and during that five minutes that you're about to take out,

If you can take that time out in nature,

Please do so.

If you can,

Walk outside,

Embrace the fresh air or just look out of the window and just look at the beauty of the sky,

The clouds,

The nature,

What's around you,

That will also help you reset tremendously.

And I also invite you to follow me and to listen to my courses and my other tracks because my content here on Insight Timer is continuing to grow,

So there will be always plenty to listen to.

Thank you so much,

Enjoy your reset and please do take that further five minutes for yourself and just be.
