My name is Sangeet and today I have something to tell you.
Many of us think and say that we choose what we came to experience on earth and every time we think and say it we are referring to those experiences that we emphasize especially those that seem harder to go through like difficult parents,
Toxic partners or sudden unpleasant events.
Those that are challenging enough to the point of making us grow and many of us take this as an absolute truth and of course for those of us who experienced the worst maybe we like to believe that we had no other choice because apparently this may take away a part of the burden that we carry.
Now here's the thing when we say that we chose what we experience we don't mean everything that we experience because that would leave us with no choice at all once we enter this planet and we also like to believe that we have some free will right?
So when we say it we in fact choose what experiences we want to believe that we chose before we came into this planet.
So saying for example that we have chosen our harsh family,
Certain relationships or specific events is a selection that we decide to believe in as we go through it.
It goes more or less like this.
This was very bad,
It must have been my destiny or my karma or one of those things that I chose before I came here.
But what about everything else that we experience in every second,
All the billion steps,
Choices and decisions that we take and that we make?
Why would we choose one thing and not the other and what makes us so sure about it?
If we close attention by saying that we chose to experience certain things before we came here in reality what we are doing is to decide as humans on earth what have we chosen as spiritual beings before we came and then believing in it.
But isn't this contradictory?
We are so sure that we choose whatever it is that we believe that we choose before we come here but in fact all we are doing is to choose to believe in whatever we want to believe by choosing to believe that we choose specific things before we enter earth.
So it is never about choosing before we come here but about choosing as humans already in this planet what we think that we chose before we came here and we are so sure about what it is that we do or that we did before we were born that we completely forget that we actually have no clue of what that is or of what that was.
On the other hand saying that we chose to experience let's say a trauma can be a very harmful mind game because that excuses everything by giving us the right and the freedom to hurt anyone with the excuse that they actually chose to experience it.
We may even go further and say that we have chosen to harm that person before we were born as well.
What a perfect recipe for perpetuating fear along with a total discard on any responsibility that we may have for our actions.
Also if we believe that we choose before coming into this planet we are actually saying that what we experience is our fault.
Yes we discard our responsibility as humans by saying that we have no other choice because it is chosen but by saying that we chose before coming we are actually saying that yes in fact it is our fault because we were the ones who actually chose it as spiritual beings.
So in any case we blame ourselves.
Plus what about those of us who grow up surrounded by amazing conscious people and are immensely happy doing their entire life experiencing their dreams and living abundantly?
What would we say about it?
That they forgot to choose bad things?
That they are not as great or as evolved as those who are deeply challenged?
So we spend the entire time wishing to be happy and then we meet those who are and we think less of them?
Is suffering some kind of trend that we should follow?
It is a case to ask do we even want to be happy?
If choosing really matters is what we choose now right now despite whatever it is that we chose before after at any point in time or in no time at all.
And yes what we choose matters because it dictates our impact on us on others and on the world because in this world we feel we have senses and we have a heart.
And if it is so true that we chose to experience difficult situations in this planet wouldn't it be great to soften all of that and make it easier so we can live a happier life?
Why would we want to perpetuate our pain believing that it is inevitable?
If something is inevitable is change and change is what changes our life for the better.
So today let's choose to be at peace no matter what.
If there is a destiny for us or an ultimate thing that we have chosen for ourselves that is to love and to be loved and to have a heart full of joy because that is what we need to thrive in this planet.
Life is already challenging enough for so many of us.
Let's not make it harder by adding more fear and more contradictory beliefs that only makes us even more anxious and confused.
And if there is something destined to happen in our paths then be it.
But there is one thing that we can do and that is to believe in ourselves and in our ability to heal and to love again and again.
And there is no destiny,
Karma or previous choice that could possibly be more powerful than that.
We are beautiful magical beings and beautiful magical beings create beautiful magic.
