My name is Sangeet and today I have something to tell you.
We humans like to find reasons and causes for everything and that is only one tiny step away from blaming and many times we blame ourselves.
And one of the things that make us take the blame is when we trust people,
Environments or situations that turn out to be a bad influence in our lives for shorter or longer periods of time.
We blame ourselves in these cases because somehow we feel responsible for whatever happens to us since what happens to us seems to be a result of whatever we allow.
So not only we go through unpleasant experiences and consequent suffering from whatever toxicity is thrown at us but on top of that we also feel guilty for it.
And as much as this may sound so true to a certain extent after all we are responsible for ourselves and therefore for our choices and decisions and we are the ones that have the ultimate power to say yes or no to whatever shows up in our lives there is way,
Way more to this equation.
We are not just a simple yes or no.
We are energy in humans' bodies and once we enter these materialized forms with a complex combination of changeable thoughts and emotions we assume roles and we live experiences that we wouldn't even imagine.
So many things can occur to which we would for sure say never if we were asked about them before they happened.
None of us wants to experience the worst and yet it happens and it is not exclusive to only a few.
It is general and it can touch anyone even those of us who think that they have everything figured out.
We are the yes and no plus everything else in between and so much more than that.
And this is why we find ourselves in the dark unable to find absolute reasons and causes for everything rushing against time because we think that life is too short.
But here is the thing.
We don't have to.
We can totally rest in the unknown because whatever we think it is true it is always and only a product of our current capacity to consciously see right here right now.
Plus the notion that we have about the length of life is like seeing more and more money entering our bank account and yet always wanting more and therefore a total illusion.
The more we leave the more we want to leave and the less we want to go thinking that this is the best that we will ever have and not willing to waste a single piece of it.
But what is there to waste if life itself is eternal?
Guilt and blame are only mechanisms that we find in an attempt to bring some sort of resolution when all it does is to bury us even more.
Yes,
We are responsible for our moves in a sense that we have to establish some order between us all and yes,
We also have to deal with consequences but this is like playing chess.
No matter how smart we are sometimes we win,
Sometimes we lose.
Sometimes things go in one way,
Sometimes they go in another.
We blame ourselves for experiencing toxic people,
Environments or situations because we think that we have or that we should have total and absolute control over life when all we have is an endless list of questions for which none of us have answers.
And no,
We are not supposed to live in fear either thinking that the worst is going to catch us because everything is out of control.
Instead,
We must know that we are in fact powerful beings but not because we dominate or should dominate everything and everybody and have nothing but a perfect life but because life itself has its own magic and we,
As part of it,
Have the capacity to get up whenever we fall.
So today,
I came here to say that it is okay.
It is okay to be,
To experience,
To go through it to say yes,
To say no,
To be wrong,
To be right to wait for the light in the middle of the night.
And it is okay to feel the guilt and it is okay to free ourselves from it because today,
Tomorrow,
And every single day we are not to be blamed.
We are to be loved.
We are to be,
To simply be,
Light and free even in the unknown of a dark sea.
