This guided children's meditation is specially designed with primary school / elementary school-aged children in mind - between the ages of 6 and 9 years of age. The practice can be completed at home or within a school classroom setting. Begin by having the child find a comfortable position, such as lying on the floor, bed or sitting on a chair. After the practice, you may wish for the child / children to draw what they imaged their adventure to look like.

Hi and thank you for joining me today on this guided visualization.

You can begin by placing yourself in a position that's comfortable for you.

You can lie down on the floor,

On your bed or you may even want to sit on a chair.

Gently closing your eyes now and letting your body rest.

Can you hear the sounds that come from inside and outside of the room you're in?

Bringing your attention to your body now.

Notice the way it feels on the surface beneath you.

Can you hear any particular sounds that your body makes?

Perhaps the sound of your breathing?

Or sounds within your body?

Letting all your body parts relax now and allowing them to be as light as a feather.

Letting your feet relax and letting them be as light as a feather.

Then your legs and then your chest relaxing and allowing your back to also relax being as light as a feather.

Letting your arms soften and relax.

Your neck,

Your lips softening and letting them ease.

Relaxing your cheeks and your chin.

Your eyes and your head all relaxed and as light as a feather.

Begin to notice your breathing.

Notice how your breathing makes your tummy go up and down.

If your mind becomes busy in thinking,

You can remind yourself to use your breathing or my voice to come back to this relaxation.

Letting your thoughts to drift away like clouds in a big blue sky.

Imagine now that you are standing in a meadow surrounded by trees,

A blue sky and soft green grass.

It is a pleasant warm day,

Butterflies and bees are working busily on the flowers.

The sound of buzzing bees brings a sense of ease and peace.

The sounds of birds fill the air as they sing their songs.

Their songs are pleasing,

Bringing feelings of safety and calm.

A little blue bird comes and sits beside you and asks if you'd like to join it for a flight.

What a fun and exciting adventure.

In your breathing,

Every breath allows your feet to leave the ground.

As you breathe in and out,

Up,

Up,

Up you go and before long you and the pretty blue bird are gliding in the sky together.

See the trees from up above and the green grass as far as the eye can see.

Take some time now to explore this beautiful place.

May you rest in peace,

And prosecce聩罪 Crew Music The little blue bird needs to go home now and has enjoyed flying with you today.

With your breath,

Gently allow yourself to come back to the ground as you breathe in and out.

Softly and gently coming back to the ground.

Whenever you need some calm in your day close your eyes,

Breathe and remember this wonderful place.

Whenever you're ready now,

You can begin to wriggle your fingers wriggling your toes,

Gently opening your eyes.

Music.
