This healing meditation for Parkinson's.
This meditation is designed to help you relax,
Cope,
And heal with all the challenges of living with this disease.
Please find a spot you can sit or lie down.
You can close your eyes or you can just lower your gaze,
Whatever feels more natural for you.
Take a few deep breaths and let go of any tension or stress in your body and mind.
Your mind's gonna always wander to a thought or a sound,
But become aware of it and make the nurturing choice to go back to your breathing.
As you breathe,
Bring your attention to the heart center,
The area in the middle of your chest.
Imagine,
Imagine a warm soothing light filling your heart with love and passion and gratitude.
Feel this light expanding and radiating throughout your body,
Reaching every cell,
Every organ,
Every nerve,
And every muscle.
This light is healing,
Nourishing,
And supportive.
It is your own inner source of strength and resilience.
Now,
Bring your awareness to any part of your body affected by your disease.
Maybe it's in your hands,
Legs,
Face,
Or voice resistance.
Just observe how it feels,
What it needs.
Then send some healing light from your heart to that area.
Say to yourself,
I accept you,
I care for you,
I heal you.
Repeat this process for any part of your body that needs attention and healing.
You can also send some light to your brain.
Thank it for the functions it performs for you,
Despite all the challenges it faces.
Say to your brain,
I appreciate you,
I support you,
I heal you.
As you continue to breathe,
Send healing light to your body and brain.
You may also notice some thoughts or emotions that arise in your mind.
Maybe they relate to your condition,
Such as fear,
Anger,
Sadness,
Or frustration.
Or maybe they are unrelated worries,
Regrets,
Or hopes.
Whatever they are,
Just observe them without judgment or attachment.
Let them come and go like the clouds in the sky.
Then return your focus to your breathing and your heart.
Silently say to yourself,
I am strong and courageous.
I'm not defined by my own condition.
I have the power to overcome any challenge.
I'm grateful for all the good things in my life.
Feel the meaning and emotion behind each word and let them fill you with confidence and peace.
Now let's take a moment to appreciate yourself for doing this meditation and caring for yourself.
You are doing the best that you can.
You are doing great.
You are a wonderful and valuable person who deserves to be happy and healthy.
When you're ready,
Gently open up your eyes and return to this present moment.
You can do this meditation anytime that you need you feel a little well.
Practice it again and then start to do it on your own.
I am strong.
I am healthy.
