Hello and welcome.

My name is Rick Freeman.

With recent events about dealing with health issues,

And should we take it so serious,

And should we even get angry if a loved one is joked about?

I have been sick since seven years old.

I had my eye poked out with a stick,

With a 12-foot bamboo pole.

And if myself and my family didn't start joking about it,

About my perception of how you shouldn't throw me a pair of keys,

I think I would have been a lot angry and frustrated my whole life.

When Crohn's disease came along,

I went to the bathroom in my pants so many times with my Crohn's disease as my surgery started.

I had to laugh at it.

I had to make a joke.

It was not funny.

There's nothing funny about it.

But if I didn't laugh about it,

Put some humor to it,

As we know now when we get in this fight-flight response,

We get sicker.

So if we can laugh about it,

Those release the chemicals that can make us healthier.

So let's do a meditation.

It's a mantra meditation today.

And I want to do the meditation,

The words,

I am.

I am.

So get comfortable and close your eyes and start your breath flowing nice and easy.

Make sure your shoulders are relaxed,

Your jaw is unclenched.

Keep nice and relaxed.

And silently say to yourself the words,

I am.

I am over and over again in your head.

I am.

I am.

When your mind wanders,

And it will,

Just become aware of it.

And gently bring your focus back to the words,

I am.

Try not to be so serious.

Keep a little smile on your face and relax.

Keep with your mantra,

I am.

I am.

Now place your focus anywhere in your body that needs the most attention right now.

Whether it's a sore muscle or a health problem that you need to focus on,

Place your attention in that area and let yourself breathe into that area.

With your attention in that area,

It should feel like your breath is flowing into that area.

Place and let go.

When you find your mind wandering,

It's okay,

Just gently bring your focus back to the area that needs the most attention right now in your body.

Now deepening your breath,

Keep your eyes closed,

Just stay relaxed.

When you are ready,

You can open up your eyes.
