If you’ve walked this earth, you’ve made mistakes. The important question is if you continue to carry them with you, or if you’ve put them down, where they belong - in the past. Regardless of how big or small your mistakes have been, you deserve to begin to free yourself from the self-sabotage, punishment, and guilt-trip. It’s time to forgive yourself and move on ahead; a lot of new opportunities await. A beautiful meditation that doesn't just feel good, but also helps you actively release.

This is Rami from Create Balance Method.

Thank you for joining me today in the forgiving your past mistakes meditation.

Find your position of rest either laying down or sitting up with back,

Neck and head support.

Start by taking some deep inhales through the nose and out through the mouth.

I want your exhales to extend a few seconds longer and so if you're breathing in for three counts,

Breathe out for five or six.

Now imagine warm mint liquid dropped onto the scalp of your head touching every body part as it flows down the body and with each body part this mint liquid touches,

It releases,

Cools and relaxes.

Starting with your scalp,

Moving down to your forehead,

Releasing your eyebrows,

Releasing your jaw and your neck,

Cooling the top of your shoulders,

Cooling your middle back and lower back,

Relaxing your chest and your belly,

Releasing your pelvic area,

Relaxing your thighs,

Relaxing all the fingers on each hand,

Releasing your kneecaps,

Your shins and relaxing all the toes on each foot.

You will continue to relax here as we go along,

Allowing you to go deeper and deeper into this meditation.

I want you now to inhale through your nose for four counts.

Hold for four,

Exhale for four.

Let's keep this going together.

Inhale for four,

Hold,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Hold,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Hold,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Hold,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Hold,

Exhale,

And release.

If you've ever walked this earth,

You have made mistakes.

The important question is if you continue to carry them or if you put them down where they belong onto the ground in the past.

Regardless of how big or small your mistakes have been,

You deserve to begin to free yourself from the self-sabotage,

From the punishment,

The guilt trip.

It's time to forgive yourself and move on ahead as a lot of opportunity awaits.

If you have walked this earth,

If you have taken a breath of fresh air,

If you have felt happy or sad,

Then you have made mistakes.

All of the fathers and mothers who have come before us have also made mistakes.

All the great thinkers,

All those who advocated for radical change,

Those with kindness that moved mountains,

All have made mistakes.

Alexander Pope's quote is,

To err is to human,

To forgive divine.

So today I urge you to focus on forgiveness because it matters less if we fall or if we make mistakes but matters more and how we get up and how we forgive,

Especially ourselves.

Falling and stumbling,

Not knowing and making mistakes is acceptable and can be met with forgiveness each and every time.

Yet we find it easier to forgive others but often harder to forgive ourselves.

Why is this so?

Why are we so much harder on ourselves?

What if I told you that you are not you that's just in the present now?

You are not just this body or these thoughts or this situation or this issue.

Instead you are the you that have journeyed up to this point and you are the you that will come after tomorrow.

You are the little child that was so precious and innocent,

The child so pure.

You are the teen that tried to find their footing,

The teen that tried to understand themselves among everything that was changing.

You were the young adult that was trying to do your best every moment of the day with all that you have.

The you that is committed to moving forward and making strides.

You are the you today with everything that's happening.

You are also your future self,

The ultimate version of you.

The you that will go on to do great things and meet people.

The you that will fall but surely get up.

The you that will make mistakes but definitely be willing to forgive yourself.

Because without the willingness to forgive there can be no forward movement.

Without forgiveness we are tied to the mistakes or to the error of the past.

Without forgiveness we pin ourselves to something that already happened,

Something that no longer exists.

Without forgiveness we continue to carry the baggage of something that deserves to be put down.

So if you want to move forward and put down that baggage it's time to let things go through forgiveness.

Are you willing to forgive yourself fully today?

See what comes up as you ask yourself this question.

Let's now begin to forgive.

I will bring up scenarios and time frames and I want you to allow yourself to float to the first thing that comes to mind.

Sending affirmations its way.

Affirmation we will use is I fully forgive myself for this as you continue to hold whatever image,

Sensation,

Intuition,

Emotion or feeling that arises.

Feel free to repeat the affirmation a few times.

The first mistake I remember making as a child.

I fully forgive myself for this.

The first time I was embarrassed as a child.

I fully forgive myself for this.

The first time I felt like I didn't do right by my parents or caretakers.

I fully forgive myself for this.

The first time others were embarrassed by my behavior.

I fully forgive myself for this.

When I made a mistake a long time ago at work.

I fully forgive myself for this.

When I made a mistake recently at work.

I fully forgive myself for this.

When I made a mistake in love.

I fully forgive myself for this.

When I made mistakes with friends.

I fully forgive myself for this.

When I made a mistake with my family.

I fully forgive myself for this.

When I made myself really angry.

I fully forgive myself for this.

When I did something that made me think I should have known better.

I fully forgive myself for this.

When I hurt someone else as a result of my actions.

I fully forgive myself for this.

For all the mistakes I will make in the future.

I fully forgive myself for this.

See how self-forgiveness feels.

How much lighter you feel.

Notice what you're experiencing in the body and mind.

Please repeat this meditation when you feel like you've made mistakes.

You will notice that each time you do new experiences come to mind.

It is important to go through them all.

Entertaining anything that appears.

Forgiving yourself through each one.

Thank you for joining me today.

You may now wiggle your fingers and connect back with your beautiful day.
