Hello everyone,
This is Raimi from Create Balance Method.
Thank you for joining me for the Mother Wounds meditation.
You can choose to do this meditation sitting down in a quiet private space providing you have back,
Neck,
And head support or you can also lay down and if you choose to lay down I recommend bolsters or tiny pillows underneath your knees.
Once you're in your resting position I want you to start by taking a couple of deep inhales through the nose and out through the mouth.
I want you to allow your exhales to be a tiny bit longer than your inhales,
Stretching out your exhales a couple seconds longer.
When we do this we allow rest and digest to get activated.
Now we'll go through a quick body scan beginning from the top of your head making sure that your eyebrows are relaxed,
Your cheeks are relaxed,
Your jaw is unclenched,
Your neck and shoulders are soft and down,
Your upper back,
Middle back,
And lower back are all relaxed,
Your chest is soft,
Your belly is soft,
Your hands and fingers are all soft,
Both thighs are also relaxed,
So are your kneecaps and your feet including all your little toes.
Now I want you to visualize a beautiful white fluffy cloud waiting for you outside your window.
This cloud is inviting and so you make your way in your mind's eye towards this cloud and as you do the cloud begins to ascend into the sky higher and higher away from your place of origin and the further up you go the more you relax.
You are so relaxed that it almost starts to feel like you're getting sleepy.
This cloud drifts you towards the bottom of a beautiful mountain where you begin to climb up step by step until you get to the top.
Once you're at the top you see a broad wooden staircase with ten steps that are descending down.
As you step down you begin to relax even more.
Ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Relaxing even further,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Completely relax now,
Two,
One,
Zero.
Now that you're at the ground you're very relaxed.
You open up the door you see ahead of you and this takes you to a beautiful glittering lake.
You make your way to the lake and begin to wet your feet and then you slowly start swimming all the way in.
You enter the lake completely wetting your whole body and you swim to the bottom right to the bedrock and the further deeper you go the more relaxed you become and the darker it gets.
Here you see a tiny door which you enter and you have to make your way crawling towards the exit.
As you crawl out of the exit you open the door and this leads you to a big haul back to your childhood.
Here it is easy for you to relax and access all your old experiences.
I want you to allow your mind to show you a time when you were younger and you needed to be held.
You needed to be loved,
Validated,
Seen and accepted by your mother.
A time you were scared and felt alone or abandoned trusting whatever comes to mind.
What did not having the security feel like in this moment?
Maybe thinking of some ways your mother or mother figure was lacking taking your time and really indulging as it's okay to feel safe and fully feel the yearning and the lack here.
This is a safe space where it's safe to feel.
Trusting whatever comes up and just revisiting all the emotions,
All the disappointment,
Maybe the feelings that you were broken or unworthy.
It's safe to feel trusting whatever comes up.
And as you continue to feel these emotions I want you to imagine pulling each one out as if it is a black string from your heart.
The string is thin it's like a floss so you have to do quite a bit of pulling.
You pull out the emotion,
The fear,
The feelings that you're broken,
The feelings that you weren't good enough or feelings of abandonment.
Pulling it out one by one.
The feelings of guilt and shame and as you feel these feelings and notice them and also release them through the pulling you begin to feel lighter and lighter.
You begin to feel more at peace.
You begin to feel more spacious.
Like you can breathe a little deeper and your lungs expand a little more.
It's safe here to continue to release all these things that you once felt.
Now I want you to imagine the most glorious mother figure.
Imagine this as perhaps an upgraded version of your mom or someone that you have seen in the movies,
Anyone at all.
Imagine what this person looks like,
What your mom's vibe is,
What she's wearing,
This glorious mother,
How she sounds,
Her presence and kindness,
Her attentiveness and unconditional support,
How she's so in tuned with your needs.
You hear her telling you she's sorry for not always being there but she trusts that you understand that from here on out she'll be here now and you believe her this time.
She conveys this through hugs,
Through words,
Through her radiating energy and you believe her.
She tells you that you're beautiful no matter what and that she's proud of all of your efforts and proud of you who you are just exactly the way you are.
She wants you to know that she thinks that you're whole and that you need to also believe this.
She tells you that regardless of what you deal with she will have your back no matter what every step of the way.
Feeling all of this your heart expands even more.
You feel even more secure in her but more importantly in yourself and in the world.
You trust these words and you trust yourself knowing that you know who you are.
You can now set your standards high,
Set your boundaries high for you know your worth.
There's no more people pleasing needed and you are no more dependent on anything or anyone for you are proud of who you are and you know what you offer.
You feel these things in your mind as well as in your heart and also allowing it to drip like melted butter and cover the whole of your body from head to toe.
This gives you a feeling of knowing,
An energized feeling of being alive,
A sense of power and confidence in you and in the world.
You know who you are.
Slowly now connecting with the temperature of your room perhaps noticing if there are any more sounds present.
Begin to inhale a couple of deep breaths through the nose and allowing yourself to awaken by wiggling your fingers and toes and then slowly opening your eyes.
Thank you for joining me today.
Please repeat this meditation as often as you can.
