Our inner child has experienced a lot and might need to be given permission to feel brave and strong, to be allowed to be free of being something they are not and go forward to live the life they want. In this meditation you will comfort, support and have the freedom to spend a few minutes being playful with your inner child.

Transcript

Get comfortable whether that is lying down or sitting up.

You don't need to be anywhere else but here right now.

Make any last adjustments so that you feel completely relaxed and comfortable.

Take a deep breath in through the nose.

And slowly and gently release out of the mouth.

Take another deep breath in through the nose.

And again slowly breathe out through your mouth.

Now just allow your breath to go back to its natural rhythm.

No force,

No effort,

Just gently breathing in and out.

Just bring your focus to your body.

Is there anywhere that you are holding any tension?

Just bring your focus there and just allow it to relax.

Your whole body is supported and resting.

You're going to find yourself standing in front of a door.

There is a handle on this door and you reach out and you open it and behind this door there is a bright white light and it feels really welcoming.

So you step into this light and as you do you feel under your foot soft grass and you step your whole body through this white light so that your other foot lands on this grass going in between your toes around the sides of your feet and as your eyes adjust you see that you are standing in the most beautiful brightly colored garden.

You are surrounded by the most beautiful and vibrant flowers and as you look around taking in all of the different colors,

Shapes,

Textures,

You see a young child and you recognize this young child because it is you,

Your younger self.

You walk over to that young you and you notice their energy.

Maybe you can read the expression on their face and you crouch down and you look into their eyes and you can see all of the weight,

All of the heaviness that they are carrying.

You tell your younger self that you are here to help them.

So you offer them your hand and they may or may not take it but you offer it to show that you care,

That you are here to help,

That when they are with you they are safe and loved.

You just notice how they respond to this and maybe they start trusting you.

Maybe they sit down next to you,

Maybe they want to play a game with you.

Go along with your younger self and once you have built a trust with your younger self you are going to offer them a precious gemstone or crystal.

This represents a connection between you both,

A sense of trust.

I want you to tell them now that they are incredibly brave and strong,

Stronger than they ever could imagine.

They have been and seen so many things and I have come through them all.

Tell them that you are proud of them.

Notice how they smile,

You can see their energy has changed,

You can see that maybe they feel more confident.

Tell them that they are free to be exactly who they want to be,

Free to play,

Free to achieve whatever they want,

Go after whatever dream they desire and notice how that smile gets even bigger and even brighter.

Now you're going to offer your younger self a hug and they are going to accept and as you hold yourself so close and so tightly this younger self starts to integrate with you as you become one.

All of that strength,

All of that courage and bravery is now inside of you.

That freedom to play and be who you want to be is inside of you,

It always has been and it always will be.

And you are going to take this into the rest of your life.

Every single day that inner child is going to be with you and grateful that you have reconnected and built a stronger bond.

Enjoy this new connection with your old self.
